Chapter 50

49. The Fall!

Dark Temptation!

Author's POV

Arabella couldn't sleep that night. The morning was lethargic as her sleep wasn't completed.

She went to the dining hall where everyone was having breakfast. No one looked at her and she was feeling grateful that they weren't making her uncomfortable by stares.

"Garry!"

She called him and he looked at her.

"Nothing, just a reminder that today is my last day of work..."

He cleared his throat and looked at Brothers.

"I think you should talk to them."

"No, you hired me... I am telling you..."

She replied hesitantly and looked at Arthur.

"They know that I have to leave for the university tonight."

Brothers were silent, it's like they were feeling guilty for putting her in such situation.

Arthur looked at her.

"You will leave only when you give the answer... Be ready for tonight."

She looked at him sadly and nodded.

Damian cleared his throat and tried to ease the situation.

"You are going to university, that's great!"

He smiled.

"Let me know if I can do anything for you..."

She smiled and nodded.

She walked away and Rose finally looked at her sons.

"You two are expecting an answer but are you ready for the situation if she doesn't choose anyone?"

Their heads snapped at her.

"Why would she do that? She will choose one!"

Oliver frowned.

Rose released an annoyed sigh.

"Men and their assumptions."

She got up and walked away.

Arabella stayed in her room for the whole day, thinking about the situation. There is no doubt that she loves both of them but she also knows that it's impossible to have that.

Her heart would tear in pieces to choose one while having feelings for other one also.

Never in her life she thought that she would be in this situation.

She looked at her phone when it rang.

"Yes, Julie?"

"Everything is packed and we are ready to fly... Just be on time, okay?"

She was sounding low this time, clearly knowing her situation.

"I don't know why I am feeling like something bad is going to happen. You will come with me, right?"

"Of course, I am coming with you... I'll be on time."

She assured.

"What have you decided?"

She asked.

"If you don't want to tell me then it's okay... I know it's hard."

Arabella sighed and laid on the bed as her head felt heavy after thinking so much.

"I have decided that I will not give them answer now..."

"Then?"

Julie sat down and listened to her carefully.

"I want to complete my education first... I want to live my university life and explore before I get into any big plans... I can't think straight now, choosing one of them is not easy."

She confessed.

"That's a great decision and you will get time to know them more... I have heard that men change their mind. What if they are no longer interested in you or you stop liking them by then."

She suggested.

"Take your time!"

"Fine then, I'll tell them my decision."

She got up.

Arabella went outside to look for brothers but they were nowhere.

"Cami, where are they?"

"I think there is some emergency... I saw them rushing towards the warehouse... Whole family went there..."

Cami informed.

"You think it will take time?"

She was scared that they won't return sooner and she have to go to Julie too.

"I don't know, dear... Why don't you call them?"

She suggested while going back to kitchen.

Arabella tried to call them but none of them picked the call. She thought of calling Garry or Noah but she felt it would be too much, there must be a reason why they are not picking up calls.

She waited for them till sunset. Her anxiety was growing with each passing second. There were no signs of them.

She switched on her phone and saw her call history. She has already called them twenty times each but not even a single call was answered.

Giving up she finally decided to go to them because Julie had given her a reminder call. Arabella started walking on the way toward the warehouse. This time taking the main road but when she was halfway, someone grabbed her from behind.

On the other hand, Knights were done killing the attackers and burying theirs bodies.

"Delgados are crossing lines..."

Skyler cursed while looking at the dead bodies.

"Do they really think that these druggies can stand against us?"

Arthur wiped his sweaty forehead.

"They just want to bother us and want to create an image that this warehouse in not safe so we don't get any deals... Rafael is smart."

He grabbed his phone after abandoning it for whole day.

"Why she called me so many times?"

He frowned.

"Oliver, was she calling you too?"

Oliver quickly grabbed his phone.

"Yes! Is there something wrong?"

He called her back but she didn't pick the call.

"She is not picking the call."

He cursed and called Cami.

"Fuck, Cami is saying that she was coming here."

Arthur cursed, recalling what happened when she tried to come there last time.

"Dad, please track her shoes."

Damian tracked her and told them the location.

"We will go get her, you guys carry on."

They both tracked her and their blood started boiling when they saw her condition.

"Brian!"

Oliver growled.

Her uncle had her on knife point, she was crying and trembling in fear. Her face relieved when she finally saw them but danger still had her on chokehold.

"Arthur, Oliver!"

She cried harder.

"Dove, relax! Nothing is going to happen."

Arthur tried to calm her down.

"Hey!"

Brian harshly pulled her away towards the edge of the cliff

"Don't you dare come near me... I'll kill her."

He warned.

He was looking like a mad man, filled with rage and madness.

He was capable of doing anything.

They had to handle the situation with care.

"Brian, what do you want? Money? How much?"

Arthur tried to talk to him.

"I'll give you anything but leave her."

He laughed like a maniac and Arabella cried harder.

"You beat me like a pig and want me to leave her... She is the reason of my doom... She needs to get punished."

Their heartbeats were increasing after watching her on the edge.

"Brian, stop! We can talk."

They looked at her helpless face.

"If anything happens to me then just know that my answer was 'Both of you' and it will always be both of you..."

She sobbed.

"No! Nothing is going to happen. Hold on."

They both stepped towards her. But there was a distance between them. Brian had madness written on his face.

"Don't come closer!"

He warned and dragged her even back.

"Brian, wait! Listen to me!"

They were cautious but it was risky.

"I love you, both of you"

She said like she knew what was going to happen. All her dreams were crushed in front of her.

Brothers shook their heads.

"Nothing is going to happen... Wait!"

They tried to catch Brian but it was too late.

"And her punishment is, she dies with me!"

Brian laughed like a maniac and pushed themselves back.

Taking Arabella down with him. She screamed and closed her eyes until everything went black.

"No!"

Brothers felt their lives slipping from their hands.

Both of them were about to jump behind her but Damian and Skyler came there on the right time and held them back.

"Leave me! I need to save her"

Arthur growled at Skyler but he didn't let him go.

"Dad, leave me!"

Oliver struggled and almost set himself free as Damian was not martial artist to hold him back, Rosetta came to his help and held Oliver back.

Rose rushed towards the cliff and closed her eyes with pain when she realised that it's too late. The cliff was the deepest and dangerous one with hollow rocks.

She turned around with heavy heart.

"She is gone!"

She declared and Knight brothers felt their souls leaving their bodies.

Everything went blurry and fuzzy as news felt like a lethal poison which melted their sanity.
