Chapter 59

58. The Match!

Dark Temptation!

Author's POV

Rancho rubbed his forehead, knowing she is almost at the stage where his class A fighters also can't defeat her. There is only one man in the agency who can defeat her and that's Rancho himself. He was doubtful if Arthur can defeat her.

But his wicked mind was also thinking about other things, if Arthur gets defeated by her then he will be a topic of fun among all mafias and he would love to see that. Also, he wants to see if she shows any mercy on him, if she does then he will know that she still have feelings for him.

"Fine, you are my favourite fighter. At least I can do that for you."

The event was over and everyone was gathered for dinner, the dining hall was huge and luxurious buffet was set for guests, trainers and students.

Arabella was sitting at corner table alone. Eating her food silently but Arthur disrupted it.

"So you want to fight with me?"

He placed his plate down on the table and took a sit.

Arabella looked at him with straight face.

"Only with them who wants to buy me."

Arthur smirked.

"Rent not buy..."

She didn't react to his hateful remark.

"Are you that arrogant about yourself? You think no one can defeat you?"

"Wanting a powerful owner is wrong?"

She asked, she was respectful with her tone.

"If I have to serve anyone then I'll probably serve the one whom I'll respect."

He shook his head with scowl.

"What a great actor you are? I am confused what is your true face..."

"See you at fighting ground, Arthur..."

She said and walked away, leaving him alone with his hate.

She walked out and sat outside while watching the moon. Fighting with them was the only way to avoid toxic encounter with them on daily basis. But only if she wins.

"You still love the moon? I thought it was also an act."

She heard Oliver and got up. Her face softened when she saw his sad face.

She almost lost her self control when he grabbed her arms in possessive hold.

"Kitten, just say that you still love us. It wasn't an act... You have feelings for us."

He tried to break through her.

"You are not like this. My kitten was not like this."

Arabella could feel her heart melting a bit. She opened her mouth but caught glimpse of Rancho looking at them while hiding behind the pillar. He was settled on making her life hell, his evil mind is probably thinking of making her an example of punishment for those who go against the rules of agency. Falling in love with your target is the biggest rule breaker.

He has only agreed to rent her which shows that he haven't taken off his hands from her, any emotional conversation with Oliver can ruin her five years of sacrifice.

"It was just a project... I don't have any feelings for anyone."

She said with straight face but heavy heart.

Oliver closed his eyes in regret, thinking why did he even try. He released her arms and stepped back, angrily storming away from her.

Damian found him on the way back his room.

"What happened?"

He stopped Oliver.

Oliver was burning in anger.

"Dad, you wanted me to get married to that girl. What's her name?"

"April!"

Damian replied.

"I'll marry her... Start preparations!"

He ordered and walked away.

Damian sighed and shook his head.

"God knows where they are going to go with all this."

Next day, as planned Arthur and Arabella was standing in front of each other in battle ground. All eyes were on them.

"The fight will be of ten minutes only. You have to defeat the opponent within set timeline. If no one gets defeated then it will be a tie."

Rancho explained other rules and started fight.

The fight started and both moved like a wind, attacking each other like wild fire. There was no mercy.

"Mom, what do you think, who will win?"

Rosetta asked her mother nervously.

Rose was watching their movements and patterns.

"Arabella is calm, she has no fear of loosing nor greed of winning and its evident in her attitude. Entering in the battle ground without emotions means winning half of the fight. On other hand, Arthur is full of anger and hate, he wants to win at any condition and that's what going to set him back. He can't focus on his goal when he is bounded by his emotions. How many times I have told your brothers not to let their emotions control them but they never listen to me."

Ten minutes were over and both of them were standing strongly in the ground. Arabella was still unfazed meanwhile Arthur was angry on himself that he couldn't win.

"It's a tie!"

Rancho declared.

"We will take a break of one hour... If you have anyone else who wants to fight then let me know."

He gave hint to Arthur.

Arabella walked away knowing they are going to send Oliver.

"No!"

Oliver refused.

"I am not getting involved in your madness, Arthur... Let me deal with my pain in my own way..."

"I want her as my slave, Oliver... You have to fight for me..."

Arthur gritted.

"I am not going to back off..."

"I said, no!"

Oliver got annoyed.

"She betrayed us, made fun of our feelings and you want to let it go just like that? You always wanted to prove that you are better than me, defeat her and prove yourself right..."

Arthur challenged.

"We are on same level. If you had a tie with her then, my results will be the same... It's of no use, she is equally good as class A, not giving her a badge doesn't make any difference... I don't understand what you are trying to prove by all this."

Oliver scolded him.

"I want her, Oliver... And you are going to fight for me. I don't want to hear anything else."

He stated stubbornly.

Oliver released an annoyed sigh and went to the battle ground.

Just like Arthur, he gave his hundred percent but ended up with a tie. Arabella refused to give up in any of them.

Rancho ended the fight and Oliver went back.

"We are equal, happy?"

He mocked Arthur.

"Done trying your own ways?"

They heard Rose.

"Now try mine!"

They both looked at her curiously. Rose was disappointed with them, they were letting their emotions win.

"And what do you suggest?"

Arthur asked with deep frown.
