Chapter 64

63. The Shatter!

Dark Temptation!

Author's POV

Arabella didn't realise when she fell asleep on her empty bed, the sleep was something which she haven't had this good in last few years.

His touch exhausted her body more than her intense training.

When she opened her eyes, it was past her usual time. She freshened up and went to the training ground where Arthur trains his men everyday.

The session wasn't started and Arthur was standing in his place to monitor everyone.

She stepped forward and bowed in front of him.

"Good morning, Chief!"

Arthur looked at the watch.

"Get out!"

He ordered without even looking at her.

Arabella realised that the coldness is still there, last night haven't changed everything. Somewhere she was fine with it but didn't understand why he was kicking her out.

"You are one minute late!"

He cleared her confusion.

"If you want to be a part here then follow the rules."

Ombre was standing in the first row. She smirked watching how Arabella was getting treated.

Arthur watched Arabella walking out and started the session.

She went out in the garden and decided to do her own exercise, as soon as she started running, the ache between her legs increased. She realised why he kicked her out, not because she was late but because she needed rest.

She sat on the bench silently, breathing in fresh air and feeling the weather in the garden. Thinking about the last night, she didn't even realise how that happened and how she went with the flow. But Oliver's face wasn't leaving her mind. The way he closed the door, it felt like he has abandoned her and that feeling somewhere poked her heart.

She heard someone talking and looked behind. Oliver was going for the jogging and April was tailing behind him, trying to talk to him.

"Where are we going?"

She asked while trying to match his long steps.

"You are not coming with me!"

He declared and closed his eyes annoyed when she stepped on his shoelace and opened it.

"I am sorry!"

April gasped embarrassed.

Oliver sat on the bench to tie his shoelace and then realised that Arabella was sitting beside him.

He paused and turned his head towards her. Their eyes met and many unspoken questions were thrown with those collided stares.

His eyes slowly travelled on her neck which had Arthur's marks and turned sadder. Arabella was not able to read him, she has no idea what he was thinking. Last night, he just closed the door and left.

"I'll tie it!"

April was bending down to tie his shoelace.

"Don't touch me!"

He snapped at her, making her flinch. April stepped back and looked down embarrassed.

Oliver closed his eyes to calm himself down, his mind was foggy with all the emotions. He felt someone kneeling in front of him.

"I said, don't touch___"

He paused when he saw Arabella at his feet.

He couldn't say anything to her. She tied his shoelace and looked up at him, again getting lost in his eyes. They weren't talking to eachother but their eyes were.

She got up after sometime and bowed in front of him.

"Good morning, Sir!"

If she is calling Arthur Chief then she have to call him Sir.

Oliver looked away in disapproval and got up. April didn't dare to follow him after the way he talked to her.

When Oliver left Rose entered the main gate with her bike. Arabella saw her bike and smiled softly, she knows how she has got that bike.

Rose stopped and got out of the bike, Ombre approached her as session was over by then.

"Wow, ma'am... This bike!"

Ombre admired the  bike and touched it with glow in her eyes.

"Only those fighters get these bikes who are class A and even then they have to prove themselves worthy of this honour. I have heard that only four fighters had this bike in last seventy five years and you are probably the only living one who have this... It's literally more than any crown... You are so lucky! I thought Renzo must have taken this bike away from you after you got married."

Rose smiled.

"I was purchased by Damian so it wasn't really Renzo's decision what should I do... And this was my achievement, maybe he didn't think that it should be taken away..."

Ombre looked at the huge bike with all advance technologies and the aura it held.

"This is stunning... Your daughter is so lucky, she will inherit this from you."

"No!"

Rose shook her head.

"This is not generational wealth, the person who rides this bike should earn it and only the person who is worthy in my eyes will get this."

Ombre's heart filled with greed, she wanted that bike and decided to earn it.

On the other hand, April was standing there sadly.

"Why did he scold me and let you tie his shoes?"

She mumbled.

Arabella looked at her when she didn't hear her probably.

"Excuse me?"

"Who are you?"

April frowned at her.

"Arabella! assassin hired by Knight brothers."

She replied.

April's frown deepened.

"So you are the one who was won by Knight brothers?"

Arabella nodded.

"What's so special in you? They never come together to do anything then why for you?"

Arabella watched her scowl amused, she didn't understand why this girl was talking to her like this.

"I don't know, why don't you ask them."

"Really? You are giving me attitude?"

April challenged her.

"Do you know who I am?"

Rose walked towards them.

"Girls, what's going on?"

April quickly changed her expressions and smiled sweetly at Rose.

"Hi, good morning!"

Arabella could see the fakeness in the girl, she was looking delicate and petit but she wasn't innocent.

"Good morning!"

Rose greeted back.

"Mom, Oliver again talked rudely to me..."

She complained in her fake cute voice.

Rose sighed.

"You two are getting married, you should solve your couple issues without interference."

She looked at Arabella sadly who was stunned after listening to Rose.

Something shattered in her chest when she heard that Oliver is marrying April.
