69. The Desperation?
Dark Temptation!
Author's POV
Oliver glared at Arthur.
"Stop the fight!..."
Arthur also got up from chair when he saw how Arabella groaned in pain.
"Arabella, come out. Now!"
Oliver ordered, he was shaking in anger.
Arabella smiled softly when Oliver finally showed the care for her. She walked out of the ground and stood in front of Oliver.
He checked her wound and fortunately it wasn't bleeding.
"Go to your room."
He ordered, clearly scared for her.
Arabella nodded, she just wanted to see love in his eyes and she saw it. It healed all her pain.
"I am bound to follow all your orders, Sir but I request you to let me finish this fight."
"Don't be a fool, Arabella..."
Oliver scolded her.
"I can't allow you to fight in this condition..."
Arabella looked at Arthur but Oliver grabbed her jaw and made her look at him.
"He is not your only boss, I have equal rights on you..."
Arabella looked into his angry eyes and Oliver noticed the smiling look in her eyes. She could play with her eyes and he noticed it.
"What are you doing, Kitten?"
He whispered so lowly that only she could hear it.
"Just ten seconds, Oliver..."
She whispered back and he heard it.
"I have already won the match."
Oliver was still unsure but realised that she took the pain to draw reaction from him. He let go her jaw and stepped back.
Ombre was scared after seeing Oliver's reaction, she knows that she is doomed. April was burning with jealousy after watching little romantic scene of her soon to be fiance. She was praying for Arabella to loose badly.
Meanwhile Arabella entered the ground again and Ombre attacked her, it took Arabella exactly ten seconds to kick the jaw of Ombre. She fell on the ground as everything started spinning.
Everyone's jaw was dropped after watching that she finished the fight with just one kick even when she was injured.
Oliver was rubbing his head, not sure if he is amused that she played with him to get reaction from him or if he is frustrated because she hurt herself to do that.
"You are not coming out of your room."
He ordered.
She bowed in front of him like a good girl she is.
"Yes, Sir!"
He looked at Arthur and shook his head when she walked away. Arthur also rubbed his face and sighed in disbelief.
"Get back to work, guys!"
He ordered and everyone left.
Rosetta helped Ombre to get up. Ombre groaned in pain while wiping her bloody face.
"Aren't you mad that your mother gave it to her but not you?"
She was annoyed.
Rosetta chuckled while shaking her head.
"Yes I wanted that bike but I also know that my mother knows who deserves it. It's not just about fighting skills, Ombre. It's also about your loyalty and passion towards the martial arts. I trust my mother, if she has given that to Arabella then she definitely deserves it... You should be better than me when it comes to managing your emotions. Ombre, you have potential in you and that's why Mom has hired you. Don't miss this opportunity, you are lucky."
"She killed my friend."
Ombre complained.
"How is she worthy?"
"It's might be true but what you are doing is no longer mourn of your friend... Rest you are smart to understand."
Rosetta patted her back and walked away.
Arabella cleaned her wound and laid on the bed with just bra on to let her wound breath. She closed her eyes and April's face flashed in front of her. They were really getting engaged and Oliver was showing no signs to stop it.
She was feeling little restlessness because of that.
Her both hands were under rock, she can't confess her feelings and she can't watch him with someone else either.
If that girl would have been a good person then the worry might have been less but April doesn't deserve him.
She had her eyes closed and she felt footsteps coming closer to her, she didn't open her eyes but she knew that it's Oliver.
He sat beside her, thinking she is asleep.
His hands gently caressed her belly and applied medicine on her wound.
She opened her eyes and looked at him. Oliver looked at her blankly and closed the medical kit.
"If you hate me then why are you here?"
She asked while grabbing his hand when he was about to leave.
He almost fell on her but balanced himself while resting his elbows on her both sides. His eyes filled with emotions as he inhaled her scent.
"Why?"
She asked as her eyes looked the same.
He leaned down and kissed her forehead like he was pouring his soul in it. Her heart felt alive when his lips touched her.
She grabbed on his shoulders when he placed kisses on side of her face. He was admiring her.
Her head tilted back when he pampered her neck with kisses. Her hold on his shoulders turned needy and he cupped her face to kiss her but stopped when he recalled how she denied loving him.
How she refused to accept her own feelings and didn't care about his. He was mourning for five years but she didn't care.
Those wounds are still fresh in his heart and he can't forget it so easily.
His face turned stern.
"I am getting engaged and pulling someone's else's fiance in your desperation is not something dignified woman should do..."
He shattered her heart with those words and it got visible on her face. Her hands slowly pulled back from his skin as she stared at him heartbroken.
He got away from her with heavy heart, he said that thing but he was feeling guilty now.
Arabella watched him as he stormed out of the room and took a deep breath to control the itchy feeling in her heart.
"Fine, I'll not touch you until you yourself come to me."
She pledged.
