03~The First Meeting
His Longing❤️
âSaarah's POV
The next morning, I woke up to the warm sunlight streaming into my face. I got dressed and went for a jog in the nearby park while Kriti was still sleeping. After my jog, I headed to my personal gym for a workout. As a fitness enthusiast, I loved starting my day with exercise. However, I couldn't shake off the feeling that someone was watching me. I shrugged it off as mere paranoia.
After my workout, I took a refreshing shower and put on my pajamas. I headed to the kitchen to whip up some breakfast. Just as I was cooking, someone crept up behind me and pressed a knife to my throat.
I froze, but the voice I heard made me relax. "Give me everything you have," the person said.
I smiled, recognizing the voice. "I don't have anything except a good slap for you. Leave me!" I said, and the person stepped back.
As I turned around, I saw Varun Singhania, my childhood best friend, grinning at me. "Sweetheart, how are you?" he asked.
I rolled my eyes good-naturedly. "Saale, kutte, haramkhor, suar aise kon milta hai?" (What kind of person meets their friend like this?).
Varun chuckled. "It's Varun Singhania's style to meet his bestie."
I teased him about being self-obsessed, but we both knew it was just a joke. We hugged each other tightly, happy to be reunited after so many years.
I met Varun in school, and we became inseparable. However, when we were in the 9th standard, Varun's parents moved to London, and we lost touch. Despite the distance, we never lost contact, and our friendship remained strong.
Varun knew about my arrival in London because of Instagram. I was excited to introduce him to Kriti and the rest of my life in London.
As we caught up, I asked Varun how he managed to sneak into my house. He explained that he came through the backyard door to surprise me.
I face-palmed, laughing. "Well, it's good to see you again, bro."
Varun smiled, his eyes shining with excitement. "Yeah, after so many years, you're in front of me. It's like a dream."
I grinned. "Can you believe the Saarah Khan, the baddest girl in school, is your best friend?"
Varun chuckled. "Don't be so dramatic, dude. It's nothing. And about your reputation as the baddest, it's still intact. But you know, I know you're not that bad for your loved ones."
I smiled, happy to have Varun back in my life. "Okay, forget all this. I have something to show you."
Varun raised an eyebrow. "What? Don't tell me you've got a boyfriend?"
I rolled my eyes. "I'm not the boyfriend-girlfriend type, you know. And you're still cracking lame jokes."
Varun chuckled, and I dragged him upstairs to Kriti's room. I knocked, but there was no response. I sighed and entered the room with Varun behind me.
Kriti was sprawled across the bed, snoring softly. I went near her and called out her name, but she didn't stir. I had to resort to drastic measures â I took a glass of water and splashed it on her face.
Kriti groaned, sat up, and rubbed her eyes. "Aaru, is that you?" she asked, adjusting to the light.
I grinned mischievously. "Yes, it's me. Who else?"
"But why are you looking like a guy?" Kriti asked, confusion etched on her face.
"Wait, don't tell me you're a boy who changed sex?" she exclaimed, her eyes wide with surprise.
I face-palmed myself. "What the hell are you talking about?" I asked, irritation creeping into my voice.
Varun intervened, "Hey, dumbo, it's me, Varun!"
Kriti's expression changed from confusion to surprise. "Oh, good!" she exclaimed, jumping out of bed.
"Wait, Varun, as in Varun Singhania, that dumbass, that school playboy?" she asked, her voice laced with amusement.
I nodded. "Yes, that's him."
Varun chuckled. "Good dude, you insulted me."
Kriti rushed to hug him. "Aree, I'm just shocked! I missed you, dumbass."
Varun hugged her back. "I missed you too."
As it turned out, Varun, Kriti, and I were childhood friends, an inseparable trio. However, after Varun moved away, and I left school, we lost touch. Now, after all these years, our trio was reunited.
After some emotional catching up, I headed back to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. Once I finished cooking, I called out to Varun and Kriti, and they joined me downstairs. We enjoyed our breakfast together, and then Varun left for his home.
Kriti and I retreated to our respective rooms to get ready for college. I chose a white crop top, paired with denim and white pants. I kept my makeup minimal, as I never liked the cakey look it gave. I left my hair open and straight, rolling the ends into loose curls. Finally, I grabbed my white handbag and sneakers.
Once I was satisfied with my look, I twirled in front of the mirror and headed downstairs. I called out to Kriti, and she joined me in no time, looking stylish and ready for college.
(Saarah's Outfit)
She wore black top with Balck jeans and blue jacket her hairs are also open. She is looking gorgeous and hot I winked at her and winked back at me we both are satisfied with our look for our first day of college.
We went out from our penthouse and headed to my car, then we both went inside my car and headed towards our college. Our college is London's best college, it's royal College.
( London's best college)
I dropped Kritika off at the entrance and told her to wait while I parked my car in the college parking lot. She nodded, and I drove off to find a parking spot.
As I was parking, another car hit mine, triggering a surge of anger within me. How dare someone harm my prized possession? I got out of my car and stormed over to the car that had hit mine.
I knocked on the window, and the driver rolled it down, raising an eyebrow. His nonchalant attitude only fueled my anger.
"How dare you hit my car?" I yelled, pointing to the damaged back headlight.
The driver shot back, "How dare you park in my parking space?"
I was taken aback. "What do you mean it's your parking space?" I asked.
He sneered, "The spot you're parked in is mine. Back off your car."
His arrogance infuriated me. "Who do you think you are?" I demanded.
He smirked. "You're new here, aren't you? How dare you raise your voice in front of me?"
I seethed, "I may be new, but that doesn't give you the right to damage my car."
He tossed a bundle of dollars and his car keys at me, saying, "This should cover the damage. Park my car for me, and keep the change."
His condescending attitude pushed me over the edge. I grabbed a rod from my car and smashed all the glasses of his car, including the backlights. The entire college was now watching the scene unfold.
The sound of shattering glass brought the driver back to the scene. He was shocked to see his car in ruins.
I approached him, shoved three bundles of dollars into his pocket, and said...
"I think this is more than enough for your damage, and don't ever try to mess with me," I warned him.
As I turned to leave, he grabbed my hand, twisted it, and pinned it behind my back, pulling me close to him. "You've made the biggest mistake of your life by messing with me," he hissed, his eyes blazing with anger.
I smirked. "I think you've made the biggest mistake by touching me."
I stepped on his foot, and he groaned in pain. "You'll regret this," he snarled, releasing me.
"Oh, really?" I replied playfully.
He clapped his hands to get everyone's attention. "So, now this girl is on my target list. No one will come between us. I declare a face-off with you, Miss Rude Ass!"
He strode towards me, slapped a sticker on my forehead, and walked away. The sticker read "Phoenix Target" in bold letters. I ripped it off, and the crowd began to gossip and snicker.
I declared, "Oh, so you want to fight me? But I don't think you're worthy of being my opponent."
The crowd erupted in cheers and whistles. The boy's face turned red with rage.
"First, become worthy, then come to me with your so-called face-off," I said, walking away.
I could see him seething with anger, smashing his car with the rod I had used earlier. Thankfully, I had parked my car outside the college; otherwise, this psychopath might have damaged it.
As I walked away, I couldn't shake off the feeling that I had heard his voice before. It sounded eerily similar to the stranger's voice from yesterday.
I pushed the thought aside and joined Kriti. She bombarded me with questions, and I filled her in on the incident. We then headed to the principal's office to complete some leftover paperwork.
"Good morning, Mr. Knight," we greeted him.
"Good morning," he replied.
We introduced ourselves and completed the paperwork. As we were about to leave, Mr. Knight said, "Students, I want to inform you that there are some seniors who belong to our college's trustee families. Stay away from them."
He paused, looking serious. "And yes, there's a guy named Zain Malik. Don't mess with him."
I smiled to myself, thinking, I'll show him who I am someday.
As we walked to our classes, I spotted Varun and went over to him. "What's up, bro?" I asked.
"I'm good, thanks. How about you? Do you like the campus?" he replied.
"Yeah, I'm good too. And yeah, I love the campus. That's why I'm here, dude," I said, and Varun nodded in agreement.
"Did you meet the principal?" he asked.
"Yeah, we met him and finished the paperwork too," I replied.
"Good. Okay, then we should head to our classes," Varun said, and Kriti and I chimed in unison, "Yes." Varun chuckled.
We parted ways, heading to our respective classes. I was studying engineering, while Kriti was pursuing fashion designing, so we had separate classes, but we shared some lectures, like language and technology.
After a few classes, we finally met up again in the canteen. Kriti teased, "Girl, you've become popular on your first day of college."
I ignored her comment, but she persisted. "Look, see this. In our college group, your interaction with that boy is already popular."
I hummed in response, not interested in discussing it further.
Kriti continued, "I think that boy is our senior, and he's popular too. And his name..." but someone interrupted her.
"Zain Malik," a voice said from behind me.
I glanced down at my food, my mind racing. Zain Malik â that guy. The principal had already warned me about him. Why did I always seem to find trouble? And why did I have to clash with the college's phoenix on my very first day?
I silently pleaded, "Allah, please help me now."
