âMother, how did it go?â Lenn earnestly asked.
âWill we have to move for losing sponsorship?â Renn added.
âNo, nothing of such Renn. Your mother decided to sell your uncleâs house. Furthermore, your father had a special condition in their sponsorship contract.â Ben informed.
âWe were surprised to hear this. It seems the Lionheart family promised to let any blood relatives keep the possessions given from the sponsorship. The Lionhearts are good people. Contracts like this are rare. No one is this generous.â Ben answered while showing how not all noble families are bad. Some good ones still existed.
[The noble family Ben mentioned sounds nice. We should look for sponsorship if you plan to stay here for a long time. Kevinâs child should be about twenty-four, so we arenât in a hurry.]
-Let me think about it in the future.-
[Youâre right. Sexy night still hasnât happened yet, and Ester is still under fifty percent Soul Synch. Hurry up to get a new power and become a man. I want to see your performance, hehehe.]
.....
Kazumi slyly teased. Vincentâs face became red, and he went to the yard for a breath of fresh air.
Yula looked at her worried sons and reassured, âDonât worry, my children. I received some money for the services your father and uncle provided. They also kindly gave me money for their passing while following orders to protect the Kingdom.â
âWe will have enough money for me to stop working and live an easy life. My sons, you donât need to hurry and look for ways to make money. Follow your dreams instead.â Yula wanted the best for her children.
Yula didnât want to force Lenn and Renn to make money or join the army for money since Tula is now not fit for work. As a loving mother, she wanted her children to choose their own path without being forced.
[I never thought the Lusterfall Kingdom was this loyal to its soldiers. After their death, the Kingdom pays a compensation fee for their services to help the suffering families. Itâs enough to let them find a new manner of income.]
-The more I learn about the laws of this Kingdom, the more I feel like the King wants to help but canât at the same time in fear of losing power and getting overthrown.-
[You might be right.]
Vincent sat on the grass and looked at the moon. âThis might be a good kingdom to settle in. â Vincent said with a smile.
Lupa quickly sat beside Vincent and placed her head on his shoulder. Ester didnât want to be left out, so she sat beside Vincent with a light blush on her face, visible under the light of the moon.
Tula frowned for being left with her brothers. Lenn and Renn bosted about Vincent and how he beat four armed people with a slap to the face each.
âLetâs go next to big sister Ester little Plow. â Tula said.
*Pho* Plow earnestly barked with her eyes on her bed... on Vincent. Plow looked better and more alive after being fed, taken good care of, and having a warm bed.
A while later, Ben left, but before he left, Ben asked if Vincent wanted to be escorted to the guildhall. Vincent rejected the offer since he didnât have a problem with getting lost. Kazumi remembers everywhere they went.
âGood luck. â Ben said before he closed the door.
When it was time to call it a day and sleep, a problem occurred. Plow frantically tried to get off of Tula. The little fox wanted to sleep on her bed. On Vincent.
*Pho, pho, pho*
Plow barked while staring at Vincent. At first, they didnât know what Plow wanted, but then Lupa said with a frown, âHumph, donât think that by sleeping with Vincent makes you his mate.â
âYou can understand Plow?â Vincent asked in surprise.
âNo, I only know wolf language, but this pesky foxâs look is easy to understand. My mate is the best Alpha, after all.â Lupa replied with an unsatisfied look.
[Thats interesting. Having a person understanding the wolf language might come in handy one day. I wonder if Plow could do the same if you make her your familiar?]
Kazumi pondered. She thought having a zoo harem would allow them to have a translater for all existing animals. She seemed interested in this idea, but not at the same time. Vincent would be squeezed dry with over fifty beast women.
Vincent sighed and asked, âPlow stays with me during the night and with you during the day. Howâs that sound, Tula?â
âUff... okay, big brother. I will sleep with mommy then.â Tula pouted. She wanted to sleep with a living and breathing soft toy-like young blue fox.
Everyone went to their rooms a while later. Vincent felt trapped on the bed. A woman at each side and a small fox lay on his stomach removed the chance of freedom.
Kazumi held her laugh as she watched Lupa latch to Vincentâs arm full of jealousy and Ester facing the opposite direction with a pair of blushed cheeks. Plow, however, was sleeping like a baby.
âPlow and Lupa donât mix well, haha. But alas, no steamy night today. They need their strength if they are tested in the Adventurers guild.â Kazumi thought.
*Day 51 â Morning*
The next day arrived, and Vincent opened his eyes. He turned his head from left to right and shortly showed an unhappy expression.
âIâm hoarding the money like I always do... Ester and Lupa are wearing clothes given to them... I want to keep my word today.â Vincent woke up with a goal in mind. Itâs to buy clothes for Ester and Lupa.
Vincent was starting to feel ashamed that he kept being cheap after calling the two beauties beside him his women and his family.
A while later, Vincent, Ester with Plow in her arms, and Lupa jealously glancing at Plow for being caressed all the time entered the kitchen.
Strangely, Lupa and Plow became rivals for attention as Plow would glance at Lupa a bark *Pho* to receive attention and a head pat. The competitive Lupa didnât show signs of backing down, even if the little fox taunted her.
âMorning, big brother and big sisters. I wanted to wake you up, but mommy told me to let you sleep.â Tula said. She then approached Ester and extended her hands to receive Plow. She didnât forget that Plow would be in her hands in the day as per Vincentâs words.
Yula didnât want her daughter to cause a scene like the previous day. She knew pretty well how her sons respected their sister and how they used to follow her around. Yula didnât want to experience every morning with a duel challenge.
âGood morning Tula,â Vincent replied. Then he noticed Lenn and Renn with a pair of expecting eyes.
Vincent waved his hand for the twins to follow and said, âLet me show you some core body training to grow a stronger body. Iâll teach you advanced stuff later.â
Lenn and Renn eagerly followed Vincent. They copied whatever Vincent showed and decided to do their best in every training he taught.
âHow many times should I do this?â Lenn asked while doing pushups.
âIâm starting to get tired. Will this help me grow stronger?â Renn asked while doing situps.
âTsk, tsk, tsk. Donât become impatient. If you can do around a hundred in a whole day, you can later begin with sets and reps in a short time. Only after that will the real training begins.â Vincent announced the training plan he and Kazumi devised on the spot.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
Unlike Vincent, Lenn and Renn didnât show to have a quick stamina regeneration. After every passing minute, the twins became more tired.
âBut *huf* how can I become good at fighting with this?â Lenn asked before slamming on the ground.
âI want to learn to fight *huff* not to lose to anyone. *huff... argh*â Renn stopped after he felt a muscle cramp.
âWith what Iâm seeing, your bodies only have the power to swing a sword or block an attack. But what about everything else? To jump higher. To run faster. To kick with intensity. To move with the footwork of a beast.â
âSimply swinging your weapons will only give you experience on how to move with a weak body. So you two need to achieve a strong body, build a durable foundation, and only then should you start sparring and training.â Vincent explained in great detail.
âWe understand...â Lenn and Renn replied while huffing and puffing.
Back on Earth, Vincent sometimes decided to train, build muscle, become better looking, and gain some courage. But after suffering from muscle pain from overtraining, he would quit a few days later. It was a cycle that repeated itself many times each year, almost every time he read about a heroic story involving training to become stronger.
[That should take care of the twins for the time being, and Tula is happy with Plow in her arms. Letâs eat and prepare. Remember that we have an appointment at noon.]
-I remember, but first, I want to buy us some clothes to wear.-
[Ooo. Sugar daddy wants to open his coffers for his girls. Iâm proud you want to stop hoarding money.]
-Sugar what!-
[Ahem. Fine, Iâll stop teasing. But it would be best if you hurried since it takes about half an hour to walk to the guildhall and another half an hour back.]
-Back?... Oh right! We donât know if the shops have a dressing room. We might need to return and change.-
Vincent took into consideration the time it would take if Kazumi were right. He believed they would have enough time for their appointment at noon.
Vincent, Ester, and Lupa later left after eating a scrumptious breakfast. Vincent placed a small bag filled with a few copper and silver coins in his pocket. He prepared the money beforehand as it was best not to show Soul Dimensional Storage too much.
After Vincent explained why they left early in the morning, Ester and Lupa visited many shops intending to look attractive for Vincent. Unfortunately, the middle-class district offered clothing articles for a few silvers each. The price was too much for their funds.
Next, they visited the stands in the lower district, and surprisingly, only a few were still setting up their merchandise. Like tourists or window shoppers, they browsed multiple clothing shops until visiting them all.
Vincent asked what clothes Ester and Lupa fancied and then visited those stands. Vincent also visited a stand he saw attractive and cheap menâs outfits.
Sometime later, Ester stored everything they purchased, and her storage bag became full.
Ester became in charge of their clothes after Vincent told her that she would be the best choice to take care of womenâs clothing if Lupa ever needed clothes.
