317 Preparing for a date

“...” Vincent didn’t know what to say.

“I want a cup of tea.” His nose twitched when the smell of tea reached him.

Vincent headed to the kitchen and found Yula filling a cup of tea with a luxurious-looking porcelain kettle. It had a golden flower on each side, and the handle was colored gold. Not only does it look pricy, but it gave the feeling of being a gift from Lilith’s parents.

Yula heard the sound of footsteps. She finished pouring tea and raised her head.

Yula displayed how professional a maid she is. Not even when hearing someone entering the kitchen did she pause pouring tea. She didn’t make the slightest mistake.

“Good morning Vincent.” Yula greeted with a nod.

“Ester, Lupa, Iris, and Sakura were waiting here until you woke up.” Yula grabbed an empty cup and asked if Vincent wanted tea. Vincent nodded and sat opposite of Yula.

“They were most probably waiting for Lilith. I don’t know the full details of what they talked about yesterday, but I will be going out with Lilith today. Maybe they are chatting about that.” Vincent dragged the cup of tea to his side and took a whiff. The tea smelled premium. It was similar to the tea new tea leaves Yula sometimes used.

“The ladies were in the kitchen when I woke up. The sight of them scouring for tea, cups, and a teapot almost gave me a heart attack.” Yula sat on a chair and took a sip of tea. She revealed how a messy kitchen troubled her.

“Luckily, I remembered Maid Xu telling me where she used to hide clean utensils, pots, cups... well, everything she used to offer her lady healthy food and beverages.” Yula continued.

Vincent nodded and took a sip. He turned his head and looked at the opened window and the thin white curtains gently swaying along with the breeze. “This environment is relaxing. I hope everyone living here can be happy.” He said with a smile.

“The kids and my daughter went to sleep after they returned covered in dirt and later helping them get cleaned up.” Yula said, then she paused for a moment and continued, “Iris and Plow went into a different room to clean their bodies. Iris looked shy, and Plow wanted to be with Iris for some reason.”

“Speaking about Plow, where is Plow?” Vincent curiously asked.

*sigh* “Plow cried to sleep when she couldn’t sleep with you. She is still sleeping with the kids, Tusk and Nix.” Yula lightly sighed before saying how Plow caused a stir.

Vincent drank the delicious tea and raised a smile. “Everything happened too quickly. Now is the time to take it slow and get used to this life. You, Sofy, and Maid Xu will mostly be in charge of what happens around here, so there will be no demanding noble owners asking the three head maids for the impossible to happen.” He said.

“Head maid? Me?” Yula asked with a surprised expression. She knew her new role would be far different from her previous maid positions. However, being in charge was a position Yula never thought she would have.

“I... ” Vincent flustered and hesitated. He felt terrible to ask Yula to manage the property with Sofy and Maid Xu in his stead.

Kazumi gave Vincent an idea, and he quickly regained his cool. “I will need to leave this mansion for months one day. You see, I need to find the whereabouts of my best friend’s child. He did a lot for me, and his child should be twenty-five or so years old if they are alive.” He said.

Vincent and Yula turned their heads when five women entered the kitchen and proclaimed their future goals. Kazumi joined them, yet Vincent was the only one who could hear her.

Kazumi expressed her resolve after she felt left out. Even if Wolfie and Freerie were keeping her company, she feared becoming irrelevant one day. Hence the harem plan to keep a place by Vincent’s side.

Fortunately, Kazumi’s current concern weakened when Vincent reassured Kazumi that he would not forget about her, even if she needed to use her skill to meet with him soul to soul and face to face.

Ester went beside Lilith and placed her hand on Lilith’s back. “We have your back, sister. I lived a miserable life when all the people I saw called me a freak or a monster in human skin. But now I don’t care because I am not alone anymore.” She said to reassure Lilith of her worries.

“Or you can swap the people you don’t know looking at you. Think of them as animals, hahaha. ” Vincent joked.

“Yeah. Evil people are all animals.” Sakura agreed in a heartbeat.

*Gulp* Lilith gathered her courage. She clenched her causal dress and decided to place her trust in Vincent. “I... I will change my clothes.” Lilith turned around and left.

“Let’s help Lilith.” Ester told Lupa, Iris, and Sakura.

Vincent saw Ester, Lupa, Iris, and Sakura about to leave. He asked, “Ask Lilith if she has a hat. We are going to walk a lot, and the heat might get to her before her legs give up.”

Ester nodded and the sisterhood left. Vincent turned around to ask for a meal, but Yula was already slicing bread.

“Is one set of lunch enough? Or should I make more?” Yula asked.

“Make another one just in case, but Lilith can not eat much for now. ” Vincent answered. He got up from his seat and added, “I will be in the garden cleaning the cart. This gentleman will need to prepare the lady a ride for when she gets tired.”

“I will notify the ladies that the gentleman is in the garden. ” Yula replied with a smile.

‘Koss was romantic like Vincent once in a blue moon. It makes me smile every time, hehe.’ Yula thought as she prepared sandwiches for lunch.

A while later... one hour later.

[I don’t have memories about my past life, but don’t you think they are taking a bit too long? An hour has passed already.]

‘Kazumi doesn’t have memories of her past life and saw me grow up. I did not care about my appearance that much... well, only when aunt Trisha and grandma Tessy didn’t complain about being too sloppy.’ Vincent thaught sith a smile.

“Hehe. ” Vincent chuckled. He stored the damaged side pannels and gazed at the cart. It looked different without side panels, a pile of fabric for a comfy seat, and a small rope attached to both sides of the cart handle.

“I didn’t think fixing the cart and changing it for transport use would take so much time.” Although Vincent said this, he felt satisfied with the result.

[Oh look, they are ready. Lupa is waving at you. I guess she wants you to visit them.]

Vincent stored the cart and headed for the kitchen. Soon, his eyes couldn’t stop but stare at Lilith. She looked stunning.

Lilith wore a light blue hat. A golden-colored embroidered flower was attached to it. The hat matched Lilith’s eyes, the glasses, and golden hair. Additionally, the makeup made her face more attractive.

Lilith wore a light blue blouse with thin see-through sleeves. A long light blue skirt and a pair of ordinary-looking comfortable shoes. However, the clothes looked a little bit tight on her body.

Lilith appeared to have gained a lot of weight now that she is eating more frequently.

*Sigh* Vincent shook his head. “Now, everyone will look at Lilith. You helped Lilith look amazing. It will be harder for the people. No. The animals not to stare at her beauty.” He expressed with praise and worry.
