GINGER POV
Alessa is acting strange lately, it started after our vacation anniversary. She became extra sweet, I mean she's usually sweet but it's a bit different now.
She makes sure to always tell me how much she loves me, she'll even call just to tell me that. She also started bringing me to romantic places everyday after my shift at work and make love to me afterwards.
It's not that I don't like it but I feel like there is something wrong with her and I'm starting to get worried.
Today is Sunday and we decided to just stay in her house and made dinner together. It is the place where we plan to live after we graduate from college and make a family.
We're drinking wine while listening to the music. She's been silent for almost thirty minutes already and I need to know why she's like that. I emptied my glass of wine before opening the topic that's been bugging me for the whole week.
"Lessa what's going on with you?" I asked gently before reaching for her right hand. She pressed my hand gently before smiling.
"Nothing's wrong with me babe, what are you talking about?" She said chuckling before sipping her own wine.
"You've been acting strange lately, I know that there is something that's bugging you. Did you do something that will make me mad? because if you do just tell me already and I will forgive you right away" I paused because my voice started to sound broken.
"Just don't make me worry please" I added.
"I'm just upset with my parents because they want me to do something that I don't want to do" she said before releasing a heavy sigh.
"Then don't do it" she smiled before pulling her hand away from my grasp.
"You don't understand babe, my parents won't stop until they get what they want" she looked so frustrated and sad.
The reason that she can't introduce me to her parents is because they don't fancy poor people. Her parents doesn't know that she's gay and it doesn't matter to me because mom accepted our relationship wholeheartedly.
I don't mind being hidden from her parents forever. As long as Alessa loves me, everything or everyone doesn't matter at all. I love her with all my heart.
"Okay, what is it that your parents want you to do? Is it about us?" I asked suspiciously. She became uneasy upon hearing my question.
"No! It's not about us, it's about our business" she said hastily, contradicting my suspicions.
"They want me to take a course that's related to business and I don't want that" she added.
I sighed in relief, I thought her parents found out about us already. I don't know what to do if Alessa chooses to leave me because of her family. I can't live without her because she's became part of my life now.
I smiled afterwards and leaned forward to kiss her.
"I love you Lessa, you're the only person that captured my heart, you're the first and the last person that I will ever love" she giggled before pinching my cheek.
My life became worth living and more exciting, she and my mom is my strength and inspiration in everything that I do. Soon she will graduate from high-school and will go to college.
She promised me that once she graduate and has a work, we will live together. In that way her parents can't interfere with our relationship because she can finally stand on her own.
After eating dinner, she led me to the living room to cuddle on the sofa bed. Whatever we do makes me happy and it doesn't bore me even for a bit. If I could just stop the time and stay like that forever I'd do it.
"Babe are you sure that I'm the only person that you'll ever love?" she asked while tracing my shoulder with her finger.
"Hmmm yeah, since I won't gonna have a chance to find another one" I said before giving her a peck on the lips. She frowned at my response.
"So if you have a chance you'll find another one?" I chuckled and pinched her cheek lightly. I like it when she's jealous.
"Nope! I will only love once and that lucky person is you, so don't waste it or you'll regret it forever" I saw a trace of sadness on her face upon hearing what I said. She averted her eyes somewhere afterwards before smiling again.
"Of course I am lucky, so lucky" I became worried again when her tears started to fall.
"You are being so emotional these past few days Lessa. Are you sure that this is just about your family business? cause if you ask me I don't think so" I said before releasing a heavy sigh then wiped her tears afterwards.
Why do I feel like there is something wrong?
"I'm just happy knowing that you really love me, knowing that I'm the first in everything when it comes to you" she paused to cup my face.
"I'm just afraid that...I mean what if you'll be gone? What if you found someone else? What if you fall out of love for me? I'm sorry babe my paranoia is hitting me big time" she's always confident. I never once thought that she can be this vulnerable.
I took her right hand from my face and kissed it gently. I will never fall out love from her, she's the person that I am seeing myself to be with for the rest of my life.
I released a soft laugh when the song Only one by Yellowcard played.
"You have lots of things on your mind Lessa. Please listen to the music" she closed her eyes before I leaned closer to kiss her. The taste of wine on her mouth is sweet.
"You're my only one" I said between our kiss.
I started removing her shirt without breaking our kiss. It's the first time that I initiated making love with her. I want our night to be special for the both of us.
She gently pushed me away to stop me from what I'm doing and gave me a questioning look. I smiled to assure her that I know what I'm doing, the wine boosted my confidence. She's always the one who initiate things first, but now I want to please her, make love with her until she's sore.
She raised her both arms to make it easier for me to remove her shirt, I threw it to the floor afterwards before my lips started tracing her jaw line down to her neck back and forth.

I woke up with the sound of birds chirping, I covered my eyes because the sunlight is blinding me. I forgot to close the curtain last night. Alessa's right arm is resting on my chest. I chuckled when I noticed that her mouth is slightly ajar.
I need to get up already to cook breakfast for the both of us.
"You're still gorgeous! Even when you look like that" I kissed her face multiple times and chuckled when she groaned.
It's only six in the morning, my shift is at eight so we still have two hours to spend. I decided to cook omelet and meat loaf to pair with fried rice.
I woke her up with a bite on her lips afterwards.
"Good morning babe" she greeted me before yawning out loud.
"Morning too, breakfast is ready wifey" She frowned at me before standing up.
"Wifey?" I didn't expect her to not get what I said. I rolled my eyes and about to explain when she interrupted me.

I obliged smiling, we're like a real married couple. I can't wait for her to graduate from college and get a job already.
Four years is not that long Ginger I said convincing myself.
After we eat, we both prepared for school and work. She drove me first to the shop, good thing my work place is quite near her house.

There are lots of customers already because it's Monday, I smiled and greeted Marcus before I headed to the locker room to change to my work clothes. I'll be working the whole day because I don't have class in the afternoon.
Time went by fast that I didn't realize that it's almost five o'clock already.
"Fifteen more minutes and I will be done" I mumbled while counting the money in the cash drawer.
When I'm done, I ran to the locker room to change my clothes. Alessa will be around at five twenty so I must be ready by that time. It's bizarre because she hasn't texted me the whole day.
She must be busy, but I'm sure that she's on her way. I said mentally as I sat on the couch beside the window.
I'm so excited to see her, I'm gonna tell her that I'll be sleeping in her place tonight to ease her loneliness of missing me.
30 minutes.
1 hour.
2 hours.
Have already passed and Alessa didn't come to fetch me. I texted her multiple times but she didn't reply, and her phone is unattended when I decided to call her.
She disappeared like a wind, she didn't even greet me on my 16th birthday.
17th.
18th.
19th.
20th.
21st.
I finally accepted that she's gone.
