CHAPTER 10

"Sammy lost consciousness" when they heard it, Rose stepped on the gas, to go back home quickly.

When they get back, they see a panicked Donna, trying to fan Samantha some air, trying to wake her up. Rose notices Samantha become paler than before. She gave Dina the keys and hurriedly walked to Donna, asking her to take Samantha's bag with her wallet and phone.

She carried the unconscious Samantha to their car, telling Dina to go. "Drive to the nearest hospital" she is so worried about what is going on with Samantha. This past week has been so difficult for them, it's so hard to make her eat food, or to make her go outdoors. All she did was look at Alexis' photos on her phone, hugging her shirts that are with her and spray the perfume on it that Alexis gave her.

She remembers the day Alexis gave it to her friend.

"Here" Alexis handed her a box. Samantha took it and looked at her curiously, "Just open it" she said smiling to her girlfriend.

When Samantha opened it, it's a bottle of perfume.

"A perfume?" she curiously asked her girlfriend to raise her brow at her girlfriend.

"Yeah, a perfume. It smells like me. Try it" the blue eyed said letting her smell the scent, making the blonde smile.

"Whenever you miss me, you can spray it on the t-shirts here that I left in your apartment, or if you want to smell like me" Alexis joked laughing, making her frown.

She doesn't want to smell like her, but she loves the scent of her girlfriend.

"You two get a room" Rose jokingly teased them. The twins joined the teasing too, making Samantha blush like a tomato.

They got to the hospital and got a room for her. A female doctor came with a nurse to check her up. She is still unconscious, so she asked the three to get some blood samples of the patient, making them nod in agreement.

"She looks so pale, hasn't she eaten anything lately?" the doctor asked them.

"She has had no appetite for the past week, since her lover's plane crashed," Donna answered, making the doctor look at Samantha with pity.

"Alright, since the blood samples are taken, I will come back here in an hour for the result." the trio nodded.

They sat down and looked at their friend that is sleeping in bed with an IV. She looks much more peaceful now than the other days, The IV surely helped to give her some nutrients she lost the past week.

Samantha's phone rang, Donna picked it up inside the bag she was carrying, looking if who was calling. "It's Julia," she said looking at Rose.

Rose answered the call, "Hey Sam" Julia greeted on the other line.

"This is Rose, Sammy is unable to talk to anyone right now" she replied while looking at her on the bed.

"Did something happen again?" Julia asked with a worried voice, the last time she called Samantha wasn't feeling well, puking the food she just intake.

Rose sighs, making Julia in another line more worried, "we're in the hospital right now waiting for the results of the blood sample. She passed out and looked so pale before we brought her here" she explained to Julia.

The door of the room suddenly opened, the doctor came in, Rose told her to just stay in the line for a moment, they will just talk to the doctor.

"I have the result here," the doctor said showing the papers.

"Starting today, make her eat healthy foods and take her liquids to not get dehydrated" they nodded, while Julia listened carefully.

"What's wrong with our friend doctor?" Dina asked, still not feeling relieved.

"There's nothing wrong with her, she just needed a lot of rest and not to be stressed a lot..." she paused looking at the patient in bed with pity, "your friend is pregnant, please let her have an ultrasound to see how far along is she" she said and hand the test result to the nearest person beside her who is, Dina.

The doctor left them, they are all silent including Julia whose mouth agape hearing about the news. Rose's eyes blinking still grasping the news, Donna looks at her frozen sister Dina, and snatches the paper, reading what is written on it.

"Sammy is pregnant" she said and looked at the two who nodded absentmindedly.

What are they going to do now?

"Hello" Julia calls the attention of Rose who is still holding the phone near her ear.

"Did you hear it?" Rose asked, Julia nodding then realized she can't see her so she said, "Yes, I heard everything loud and clear"

"What are we going to do now?" Rose asked.

"You wait for Samantha to wake up first, but don't tell her directly, tell her after she has eaten" Rose nodded and thanked her. She asked the twins to get some healthy foods and water, so when Samantha is awake she can have her meal.

She will gladly eat it, when it is what the doctor has advised. The two came back with some fruits and a freshly made egg sandwich with a bottle of water.

"Don't tell me you two made this?" Rose asked with a raised brow. Dina pointed at her twin sister to confess.

"Well... We don't know what to buy, so we..." she paused looking at Dina who was glaring at her, "...so I pleaded with an old lady to let us make this sandwich for our patient" she explained.

"You two can just buy a Caesar salad down the street. Why shamelessly asked an old lady?" Rose smacks Donna's arm while Dina speeds away to the corner, not wanting to get hit.

"Why so noisy?" they heard Samantha say, they quickly came close to her and helped her sit.

"Where are we?" she asked looking around the room, then realized she was inside the hospital. She sighs and looks at the three who had a concerned look. She told them she is fine and feeling much better now.

Rose handed the food, fruits and water bottle the twins brought for her to eat.

"The doctor advised us to let you eat your meals, and take as much liquid as you needed. No more skipped meals she said" Samantha nodded taking notes, she hated being inside the hospital, the smell grossed her right now.

She asked them if she can go home and leave this place, the three nodded but wanted her to finish her meal. Rose settled the bill for them to leave when Samantha is done. She gave the two the death glare before leaving that room, for them not to spill the news yet. She decided to tell her when she is done with the bill.

When she came back inside, there's no one in the room but heard some noise inside the toilet. She knocks and the door ajar opens, revealing a puking Samantha, Donna rubbing her back and Dina handing her the water bottle.

They waited for Samantha to finish. Samantha gargle not wanting to smell like puke. She finished changing and came back sitting on the bed, her friends looking at her every move.

"Is there something you three want to tell me?" she asked knowing something is bothering them, the three looking at each other, nodding at Rose to reveal it.

Rose walked and sat beside her, holding her hands and giving it a comforting squeeze. "We don't know how to tell you, but you should know that..." Rose paused and stared at her in the eyes, "...someone is starting to grow inside you" she indirectly told her the news, not wanting to shock her.

"What do you mean?" Samantha looked so confused.

"You're pregnant, girl. That's what she meant" Donna said, making Dina smack her head. Donna covered her mouth looking at the now glaring Rose.

Samantha looked at Rose, who nodded to confirm the statement was true. She gasped , one hand covering her mouth the other place on her stomach. Tears building at the corner of her eyes, thinking about Alexis and her having a baby inside her.

She smiled at the news, happy about it. "I'm going to be a mom," she said in a whisper. The three hugging her for comfort, talking about being a future aunt, and who is going to be the cooler aunt out of them three. They laugh, and the twin arguing who is going to spoil the child when it is grown.

While Julia, who had gotten the news, went to her uncle Max's house, looking for her aunt Gretta. She looks at her aunt who lost some weight, and eyes get hollow from the restless night.

"Auntie" she called her, she is now in the garden looking at nothing in particular.

"Jules" her aunt Gretta called her, gesturing to join her at the table.

She saw the photo album where most of Alexis' pictures are stored since she was a baby and grown up. She feels pity for her aunt, she knows how difficult and devastating it is. It has been more than a week since the plane crash yet there is still no news of Alexis being found.

Her family couldn't mourn until they saw Alexis' body. They refuse to believe she is dead, some still in hope of her being alive.

"Auntie, I came here to talk to you about something" she looks at her aunt who is still silent, still looking at the latest pictures of Alexis they have taken at the Herrera's gala.

"It's about Samantha" it made her aunt stare at her, she knows it is her daughter's girlfriend. She almost forgot about that girl.

She must be devastated knowing about the accident. She was the last person Alexis spent the last hours of her life before the plane crashed.

"How is she? I almost forgot about her" her aunt admitted.

"She's also devastated when she hears the news, I have been in touch with her and her friends since then" Gretta nodded, feeling better knowing she has her friends to comfort her.

"But I am here to tell you some news about her" Julia took one of her aunt's hand and gave it a squeeze and smiled at her, making the older woman confused why her niece is smiling with a glimmer in her eyes.

"She's pregnant" Julia broke the news and the older woman gasped.

"Who's pregnant?" her uncle Maximus, asked while walking close to them with her grandmother, "Are you pregnant Julia?" her grandmother looks at her waiting for her to answer.

"No abuela. Alexis' girlfriend is pregnant with her child" she told them, her grandmother's and uncle's eyes widened. Her sad aunt now is smiling, the sadness in her face is washed away with joy.

"I didn't know mija had a girlfriend," her abuela said with confusion.

"Remember she wanted to stay for more days right after she had the ancient plate?" Julia asked her abuela, nodding remembering it. "...she wanted to stay longer with her girlfriend. She met someone who caught her eyes, and I had a chance to meet her. All I can say is my cousin had a great taste" she said smiling remembering how she teases her about Samantha.

Julia spends the evening telling them about Alexis and her girl. Telling them how she is feeling right now, now that they know Samantha is pregnant with Alexis' child, they are feeling a little better. There is still going to be part of Alexis inside her girlfriend growing.

Her abuela ordered her to fly back to Italy and talk to the girl. They want her to stay with them to make sure she is safe, together with the baby inside her. Alexis' mom wanted to come with her to meet the girl her daughter fell in love with.

"I will let you come with Julia here on one condition" her uncle Maximus said seriously looking at her wife who was waiting for him to continue.

"Use the private jet. I don't want to lose anymore family member" they nodded agreeing. Her uncle promised her aunt Gretta that he will still look for their daughter, now that her girlfriend is pregnant she needs to know the news. They can tell she will be happy when she finally hears the news.

The niece and the aunt prepared what they needed before leaving the next day first thing in the morning. They will be leaving at 9:30 am so they can arrive in Italy in the morning. They don't want to disturb the girl who is still resting.

Gretta and Julia arrived at seven in the morning, Julia called Rose to ask her how Samantha is doing. "How is she right now Rose?" she asked while covering her ear because the plane is still so loud, they just landed.

"She is still sleeping actually. Why is it so loud? Are you at the airport?" She curiously asked because she can hear the loud engine sound of a plane.

"Yeah, I am. We just arrived here" Julia replied, now away from the loud noise coming from the plane, her aunt talking to the people who will be guarding them. Her uncle wanted them to be safe, he is so overprotected now after what happened to Alexis.

"We? Here? What do you mean by that?" Rose asks her a lot of questions, making her chuckle.

"We just landed here in Florence, and I'm with Alexis' mom. She wanted to meet Sam" she explained, making Rose's eyes widen.

They just heard the news yesterday, now Alexis' mom is here to see her friend. Isn't it that fast? She is impressed how quick they come here. They just heard and knew from the news that Alexis' family is one of the Elite, which means super rich.

"Please send me the address, I and my aunt will settle first in a hotel" Julia and Rose talk for a little more, she sends her the address of their apartment. She noted in her mind that they need to prepare some food and drinks, because some guest is coming.

"Why are we making lots of food, Rose?" Dina asked in confusion, while helping cut the garlic.

"Yeah, why am I cutting my worst enemy" Donna complained, her eyes are teary from cutting the onions she hates so much.

"Some guests are coming over, so please stop complaining and help" she stated while getting some expensive bottles of wine from the cabinet they kept.

"Oh nice, I love it, we will drink that expensive wine" Donna clapped, feeling ecstatic to see the wine.

Rose nodded, making Donna now excited to chop her enemy knowing she will have a taste of that wine.

"What is that smell?" Samantha said, pinching her nose.

Dina came beside her to help her sit on the chair, they have been very protective since they knew from yesterday that she is pregnant.

"Get away from me. You smell awful" she shoo away Dina.

The two laugh at now frowning Dina, her twin sister teasing her that she smells so bad, she just stomps like a little kid and walks out. Dina sulks at the couch smelling herself, she runs to their room and get her favorite perfume and sprays it on herself. Looking at the mirror smiling, very confident that she is now smelling better.

She walked back to the kitchen and walked beside her friend, "Now smell me again. I smell much better now" she confidently stated and leaned closer to Samantha.

The blonde pinch her nose again and push her away but just softly, "Now you smell worse. Please get rid of that perfume, that smells so bad, Di" Samantha complained to her smelly friend, who in fact doesn't smell bad, but to her she does.

Rose and Donna laughing their ass off, stomach starting to hurt from laughing too much. Donna kept teasing her twin sister, she knew it was her favorite perfume. She teased that she will be the one who will throw it away in the trash, making her twin sister's eyes widen.

She ran back to her room and took her perfume and kept it away. She locked it to her built-in safe, making sure her sister couldn't get her hands on it.

They ended up making three dishes, one appetizer and some desserts. Rose makes chicken teriyaki, Donna and Dina help make their favorite strawberry pie for their desserts, Samantha only watches them cooking, still wondering why they are making a lot of food when it is only them four. She also noticed one of the wines she likes. She took the bottle, making the three hurriedly take it away from her hand. She frowns at them, her moodswing is on, she's trying to reach the bottle of wine. She is the one who bought it, she bought three bottles before and that is the last bottle she kept in this apartment.

Suddenly the door burst open, they didn't notice the doorbell rang. They were busy playing cat and mouse, Samantha being the cat trying to get the wine from the three mice. Julia, who got in first look at the four of them with wonder, her aunt came after her and saw Donna holding on Samantha's waist keeping her on that spot, Rose holding one of her hands so as not to reach the bottle of wine that Dina is holding.

"Umm... Is everything alright?" Julia asked, scratching the back of her head, feeling a little embarrassed for getting in because they have been ringing the doorbell many times.

The four fixed their posture, their guest just arrived and they looked not so presentable when they came in.

"We're very sorry for entering, we have been ringing outside for five minutes already" Julia apologized .

Rose came to the two and invited them to sit down on the couch. She came back to their kitchen telling the twins to behave. She had no time to tell them who were coming. The twins and Samantha, recognised Julia but not the older woman with her.

Rose called Julia and her aunt to join them for lunch, and so they could converse there. The two nodded, thanking them for preparing such a meal.

Samantha kept looking at the older woman, she wondered if she looked like someone she knows dearly. Her blue eyes remind her of the woman she loves, the same with how her lips curved when she smiled.

Gretta, Alexis' mother glances at the girl she had seen only on her daughter's phone. She looks very gorgeous in person, no wonder her daughter fell for her. She looks so elegant, beautiful and sexy. She is also an intellectual woman, her daughter prefers smart girls, knowing Alexis, it turns her on to meet someone who is smart.

"We're sorry for intruding here in your abode" Gretta apologized. The four felt like they needed to act sophisticated in front of this older beautiful woman.

"It's good to see you again Sam" Julia smiled at the blonde, "...it's the first time I met the three of you but thank you for welcoming us here"

The three noted how different Julia is talking to the phone, compared to her in person. She is much calmer in person that you don't want to mess with.

"I and my aunt actually came here for you Sam" Julia stated, eyeing the blonde who is devouring the pasta.

She swallowed it first before saying, "Me? Why?" She looks so confused, she wonders who this other lady is.

"I am Alexis' mother..." Gretta paused, staring at the blonde whose eyes are now staring at hers, "...call me Gretta. I've heard you're pregnant with my daughter's child" she nodded confirming it.

"We would like to invite you to stay with us. Our family wants to keep you and the baby safe, and I as Alexis' mother wanted to keep the person she loves being taken care of and safe" she explained with a softened eyes.

They hoped she would agree to come and stay with them. Samantha looked at her friends and the two, sighing. She can't just come with them, she still needs to tell her family about her being pregnant and to finish her work here.

"I cant..." she paused. "...for now" they sigh in relief, that means she will stay with them but not now.

"I would like to tell my family first about my situation and settle the remaining time of work I have here in Italy. The four of us will actually be back to the States after our three months work here. Meeting and loving Alex wasn't part of the plan" she explained then they started to notice the sadness in her voice by mentioning Alexis name.

"Losing her wasn't part of our plan too" her tears falling down her cheeks, making Alexis' mother stand up and comfort the blonde.

Gretta understands how sad she is and how emotional she can be when she is pregnant. The emotion is easily triggered when you are pregnant. Samantha sobbing on the comforting hugs of Gretta, she soothes her hair telling her everything is going to be alright.

Gretta and Julia decided to stay for a few days, she wanted to spend time with the blonde her daughter loves. All she can do is make her loved ones safe and taken care of. If Alexis is here she will be overprotective, that is how she is. She remembers those times when her niece Rachel was being bullied at her school. Alexis came together with Julia and some bodyguard, she lifted up the poor young guy who bullied her baby cousin, making him piss himself and everyone who saw them laugh at his poorself.

His parents decided to transfer him out of that school, they didn't know that their son bullied a rich daughter from an elite family. Their family doesn't flaunt their riches to others, that's why Rachel's classmates don't know much of her background.

"Auntie" Julia called her who was looking at the window of their hotel room.

She looked at her niece waiting for her to continue speaking, "I've done the background check of her family..." Julia paused and gave her the folder, "...but there's nothing to be found" . She opens the folder and the only thing that is in it is saying that Samantha is a researcher of historical artifacts.

"What about the others?" She asked her niece about Samantha's friends.

"All the same, we couldn't find anything about their background. It is like everything has been wiped out but only left the details of them being an artifact researchers" she explained making Gretta nod in understanding.

It is not her who decided to send people to investigate about the background of those girls, but it is her mother-in-law, Alejandra. She disagrees at first, she doesn't want to invade their privacy, especially Alexis' lover. But knowing her mother-in-law, she will do what she wants is best for them, Alexis is her favorite grandchild, and she knows even if Alexis is here she will still send her people to do a background check on them.

"They are not just ordinary people, Jules" she stated making Julia nodded in agreement.

"Let's leave it this way and don't dig much deeper, soon we will know it" Julia nodded and called their investigators to stop.

Gretta thought that if the family of these four girls found out that someone was digging for information about them, they might find some enemy. It is better to be safe now that her daughter is still missing, they don't want to have more enemies. She needs to keep her daughter's mother and child safe and not put in danger.

"How do you think your parents will react when they find out you are pregnant?" Rose asked the blonde who was eating a cheese and dipped it in the honey.

"Eww" Donna said watching her friend enjoying the weird food combinations.

"I don't know, probably mom will be alright, and dad will be digging the grave of whoever made me pregnant" she said with a chuckle.

"Can I try that?" Dina asked Samantha, she is curious what cheese and honey taste like, because she is enjoying it with a moan.

Samantha gave her some, she chewed it and shivered. She ran to the nearest sink and washed away her tongue. Her twin sister laughed at her miserable sister.

"I told you it will not taste good" Donna said, making the pregnant blonde glare at her. She smiled at the blonde, zip her mouth and sat at the couch silently. Rose who is looking at them just giggles, they all act like siblings.

"Anyway I told the organizers that I and Dina will do the hosting of the auctions for now. We don't want to exhaust you, the doctor said you need to rest and schedule an ultrasound" Rose reminded her.

She called an OB clinic near where she is staying and asked to be scheduled for an appointment. The doctor had scheduled her for tomorrow afternoon appointment which she is glad to know. She also can't wait to know how far along she is.

She always looks at Alexis photos she had with her, talking to her whenever she misses her. She also hopes to see her soon to tell her about the great news.

"I miss you so much," she spoked while touching Alexis' face on the screen. "We're having a child, I wonder if he or she is going to look like you when it's born" she smiled at the thought of the baby looking like her snail.

"Please be alive and be safe" she hoped and kissed the screen and went to bed and sleep.

Tomorrow she needs to go to the OB, Donna is going to come with her.

While in another part of America someone is fuming.

"It's been more than a week and still no updates" she complained while holding at the railing of the boat.

"William!" She yelled and the man came rushing beside her.

"Tell the captain to go on the west coast, I have a feeling we will find her there" she ordered him. He hurriedly followed the order of the brunette.

They went to the west coast and started searching. It's already dark and hard to navigate the area but knowing their boss they need to keep on searching.

Samantha and Donna are getting ready to leave their apartment when the doorbell rings. Donna came to the door and opened it. Julia, together with her aunt, Gretta came in. They stare at the two who are dressed to go out.

"Oh are we intruding?" Gretta asked.

"No. We're just headed to an OB appointment" Samantha answered, making the older woman smile. She asked them if she could come with them, she also wanted to see the ultrasound of her future grandchild. Samantha agreed and also invited Julia to come with them, joking that the more the merrier.

They are now inside the room and the doctor is applying a gel on her stomach and putting the thing that scans the inside. The machine will show to the monitor what the baby looks like while still growing, and will tell how far along it is.

"There you go, that's your baby there growing" the male doctor said pointing at the monitor. Samantha and Gretta smiling at the image of the baby.

Julia just silently looked at the monitor, wondering what the baby looked like inside. While Donna squinting her eyes at the monitor, "that nut looking thing is a baby?" her stupid mouth asked.

Samantha glaring at her friend who is now cowering and covering her noisy mouth. The male doctor only chuckled at the curious girl and nodded and explained to her that as the time goes by it will look like a baby, and they can know and see the gender of the baby by the 19th week or 20th week.

"Here is the copy of the ultrasound, please make sure to take your vitamins and no stressing, you're almost on your 8th weeks. I advised you to not do heavy work not until you pass the first trimester" the male doctor explained, making her nod and remember every bit of it.

They thanked him and left the clinic. Gretta told them to go to a grocery nearby and buy food. She wants to buy healthy foods for them to make sure Samantha eats healthy.

She made sure to buy plenty of fruits, veggies, and milk for pregnant women. Donna stared at Julia who only smiled and gave her a shrug. She knows her aunt is spoiling the woman her daughter loves, and making sure she is feeling well.

The two only follow behind Samantha and Gretta who are laughing and talking while picking up more things to buy. Donna and Julia are only staring at them and having a conversation as well.

"So your family is filthy rich huh" she stated while picking up a bottle of rootbeer.

"If I were you, I won't buy that, you will only tease the pregnant woman who can't drink alcohol" she teases Donna who's  eyes widen and puts the beer back. Julia chuckles at her reaction.

"You didn't answer my question" Donna stated, still wanting to know how rich they are.

"Hmmm we are. Alexis is the richest in our family though because she is the heiress" Julia answered while looking at her aunt who is now happy. She is so glad to see her second mother happy, she wishes to see Alexis again. She misses her cousin and their closeness.

"Wow. Can I marry you and be richer?" Donna asked her, Julia  stopped and looked at the shorter woman who was staring at her seriously.

"Are you serious about that?" She raised her brow at her.

"Of course, marry me and we will be richer" Donna answered truthfully, making her shake her head in disbelief with this girl.

She is impressed by how straightforward she is. She kinda likes that kind of girl. Alexis likes intellectual and stunning women, while she likes frank and confident ladies.

She stretched her hand to the shorter woman and said, "We have a deal" making Donna's eyes widen. She didn't predict she would agree to her offer, she was half joking when she said that.

"Let's go my fiancee" Julia teased the frozen woman whose eyes were blinking, she grabbed her hand and pulled her to go right after the two who are now paying the bill.

They brought seven paper bags with groceries and essentials inside. When they come back home, Rose and Dina are seated on the couch. They both just arrived and are now chilling in front of the television watching cartoons.

"Why with so many groceries?" Rose asked curiously when Donna came to the kitchen with four bags.

"Wait and find more of this" Donna stated, then Julia came with three more bags that were full.

Rose and Dina look at each other wondering why so many groceries, it is just the four of them. Julia helped Donna place the stuff they bought inside the fridge and inside the cabinet. They heard Donna yelp making the two whip their heads to the kitchen, Samantha and Gretta got inside the living room and also looked at the kitchen area.

Julia now holds Donna by the waist not wanting her to fall down the ground, "Fiancee, be careful" making Donna blush.

"Fiancee?" The four who were in the living room asked in unison.

"Yeah she's now my fiance, we made an agreement while we were grocery shopping" Julia answered the curious four, making Rose and Dina raise a brow.

Dina is now staring at her twin sister, mind linking. Donna nodded at her sister as a reply.

Samantha teases her friend who is now crimson red, she actually is happy to know her friend is going to date Alexis' cousin. She knows she is a good person, and she knows Alexis will be happy for them too.

Before dinner came Julia and Gretta bid their goodbye to the four, reminding Samantha to eat on time and if she has cravings, only call Julia. They will be spending a few days with her then will fly back to L.A. to plan her stay with them when her work in Italy is finished.

When it is only the four of them left they tease their friend more, asking about their conversation while shopping.

"Congratulations my dear sister" Dina wishes her twin a congratulation for getting herself a fiancee.

"I didn't expect you to get married first" Rose stated obviously surprised at the news they had.

"First I was pregnant, now you are engaged" Samantha added to the tomato faced Donna.
