CHAPTER 18

"Da-da" Amalie mumbles happily and hugs the manly figure who was a little surprised.

The manly figure soothes the hair of the little girl and lifts her up. The little one feels comfortable in the arms of the stranger she met.

"Miwk" Amalie mumbles to the man, she is hungry and wants some milk.

"Oh you want milk?" the stranger asked her and she nodded.

"Let's go and find your mommy to get you your milk okay?" The stranger suggested.

Amalie snuggles closer to the man like she doesn't want to be left. The stranger sighs and soothes her hair, looking around to see someone who is looking for this child. The man decided to buy the little girl a bottle of water and baby food. They are now sitting in a corner eating, the stranger feeding the little girl and wiping her face.

"Hope" a female came beside the two, "...Your mother is going to kill me when she finds out you were on the loose" she sighs in relief.

Dina is no longer worried when she sees her niece safe and eating? She looks at her niece and the food she is enjoying, neglecting the presence of someone behind her who only stares at the two. She picked her up and turned around then saw the stranger.

"Da-da" Amalie mumbles and makes grabby to the manly figure she met today.

Dina's eyes widened seeing the person standing tall, looking buffed with a scar of the left corner of her eyebrow going straight to her temple. She can't believe who she is seeing right in front of her.

"Dina, pleasure to see you again, Donna's kid?" Alexis greeted her with a smile, Dina nodded absentmindedly.

"Next time keep her close, good thing she approached a good person, I should go, bye" Alexis said and left without waiting for her to say anything. Amalie wiggling to be let down and screaming "Da-da" the little one felt comfortable with that person. Dina tried to calm her niece and bribe her to buy her an ice cream if she behaved and she did.

Dina still can't believe she met Alexis. She tried calling her friend to tell her what happened but nobody was answering. Samantha's phone was silent and was on the table. She is busy picking the flowers and setting it on the vase for the florist to follow which she wants it to be set up.

Dina came back to the toy store and bought two stuffed animals for Amalie, who pointed at the flamingo. They also bought the elephant toy. That's what they came here after all. The two drive back home to the mansion of Leone's family, everyone is setting up the place for the coming birthday of Alejandra. Dina spotted Julia and approaches her, she want to tell her what she saw earlier

"Julia" Dina quickly grabs her by the arm while carrying Amalie.

"Da-da" Amalie mumbles, Julia raises a brow, Amalie never calls her Da-da but Jojo that is easier for her.

"Yeah right Hope, tell her who we saw" Dina encouraged the little girl.

"Oh come on Dina, you know Hope can’t talk much yet" Julia annoyingly replied to her wife's twin sister.

"Well she's right though, we saw her Da-da in the mall earlier" Dina uttered with an attitude. She has been stressed out for babysitting Amalie and for losing her, yet there's a good thing that happened behind her disastrous day.

"What do you mean, you saw Maxxy?" Julia asked to clarify.

"You saw who?" Samantha asked when she heard the two talking about her lover that has been missing, she came when she saw Dina and her daughter she missed the entire afternoon.

"I've been calling you but you weren't answering. We saw Alex in the mall and I was too stunned to react" Dina explained in one breath.

Samantha's shocked face and Julia smiling to learn her cousin is back. Julia wanted to tell everyone though she wanted to make sure first. She asked Dina the location and what time it was so she could send her team to investigate and to confirm Alexis’ appearance. Julia left and did her investigations and also told the two to keep it as a secret first which they both agreed.

Samantha pulled her friend and carried Amalie to the corner where they could talk privately. She asked how she is now, is she healthy and looks the same.

"She looks better than before, she even looks way cooler now especially her scar from her left eyebrow till her temple it made her look like a Mafia boss" Dina emphasized every detail.

Samantha listened carefully, her heart beating so fast. She is excited to see the woman she loves once again and to introduce their lovely daughter.

"How did you two find her?" Samantha curiously asked her friend who was nervous to tell her the truth. "Dina, say it please" Samantha pleaded, making Dina swallow and breathe to prepare her reasons after.

"Hope here found her" Dina replies, Samantha waiting silently for her to continue.

"I lost Hope in the toy store and when I found her she was with her Da-da" she explained disappointed with herself, she waited for her friends reaction.

"What?! You lost Amalie?!" Samantha screamed still not believing her friend let her daughter disappear for some time.

People who heard some scream hurriedly went to where it came from seeing Samantha and Dina with Amalie staring at them cluelessly. Dina cowering, she knew she made a huge mistake, what if she didn't find Amalie, the elite family would surely punish her or send her to a forgotten place.

"What's happening here?" Rachel asked the two. Her, Glenn and Felicia ran to see what was happening.

"It's nothing we saw a cockroach approaching Hope, and I screamed" Samantha lied, giving a knowing look to her friend to back her up.

"Yes, that's true. Good thing the cockroach flew on the right side away from Hope" she backed up the lies of her friend.

Everyone nodded and left the three. Samantha pinches Dina's ears who's now pleading to be released. Amalie giggling at the situation of her aunt, she thought they were only playing. Dina groans at what's going on her miserable day. Samantha took her leave and bid goodbyes to the family and left with Dina and Amalie.

On their way back home they talk about Alexis. Samantha has learned that Amalie was fed baby food by her father. And it seems that the short time their daughter had spent with Alexis made her bonded with her father, because the entire drive on their way home, Amalie kept muttering Da-da.

"We will see Da-da soon, sweetie" she told her daughter who stared at her mother.

Julia sent her team to look for the camera footage that recorded the entire thing of Dina, Amalie and Alexis' encounter. She saved the datas in the flash drive. She is blissful to know her friend and niece really did meet her cousin. Her investigation took a day, they checked a lot of footage of where her cousin left after but failed to spot her afterwards.

She picked up the flash drive and called her uncle Maximus to tell him the great news she had with her. She came to his office, Paul is there guarding the door. She greeted the man and entered her uncle's office.

"Uncle" she greeted him.

"Julia. Found something helpful to tell your uncle?" He asked his niece. Julia usually came by to send him updates or asked him about his investigation datas.

"That's why I'm here," Julia said, making the older man attentively look at her, waiting for her to continue.

"Go on, I'm all ears" he muttered.

"Here's some videos where Maxxy appeared recently. Dina actually had encountered her with Amalie" Julia explained, Maximus quickly took the flash drive and inserted it to his laptop and watched the videos.

He watches how her daughter carried her child with her. She took care of her by feeding her baby food, wiping her child's face and how invested Amalie is to her father. He smiled at their little interactions, he felt delighted by this great news he just received.

He thanked his niece for this great news but Julia told him that if it wasn't because of Dina she wouldn't know her own cousin is closer to them by now. They are now looking forward to seeing her once again. They can't wait to see her back with her family, they knew that Alexis will probably attend their grandmother's birthday as a surprise so they didn't bother locating her for the time being and will just wait for her to show up at the birthday party.

The night they have been waiting for came. It is Alejandra's 82nd birthday and everyone is present including their business acquaintances and partners. Alejandra is sitting in the middle like a queen. Presents are placed beside her white with gold edges high back throne chair.

Everyone in her family is preparing to show her their presents they bought and prepare for her, iit is their tradition to show their present to the celebrant in front of everyone who was present. It's Glenn's turn to show off his gift to his abuela.

"May I present to you this Victorian Siberian Amethyst necklace" Glenn said and explained his gift to his grandmother.

The other family members present their gift to Alejandra one by one, it is now Samantha's turn.

"I've learned that you love fragrances, I thought you would like this and add it to your collection. This is Clive Christian No. 1 Imperial Majesty Perfume" Samantha showed her gift to the old woman whose eyes sparkled seeing the wonderful bottle of fragrance.

"The bottle itself is of nest polished crystal and in the 18 carat gold collar, there nestles a five carat white diamond" Samantha added the details about her present which everyone was stunned.

The party of interaction and fun started after the presentation of the gifts. Everyone mingles and some are waiting for someone to show up. Julia, Maximus and Samantha are waiting for Alexis to show herself tonight, they hope to see her here.

All of a sudden a smoke covered the entire place of the party, everyone whispering what was going on. The smoke subsided and a figure walked in the middle carrying a black box with a gold ribbon. The figure now standing where the birthday celebrant is positioned.

"Abuela" the figure greeted the old woman who gasped seeing the person she had been waiting for years.

"Mija!" The old woman muttered and hurriedly hugged her granddaughter. Everyone present here gasped seeing a ghost.

The missing heir is now back and standing tall beside her grandmother.

"Alexis" Rachel called out to her cousin who looked at her and gave her a smile.

"Here's my gift to you abuela" Alexis presented her gift inside her signature black box with golden ribbon. "Here is the 18th-Century Jade-Hilted Dagger" Alejandra gasped seeing the beautiful dagger her long lost granddaughter gifted her.

She thanked her granddaughter and embraced her once again. She misses her presence and is so happy to have her back. Alejandra brought Alexis inside their mansion, Their relatives following them inside leaving the guests who understands that the heir is finally back.

Alexis is seated beside her grandmother, Alexis' parents approach their daughter and hug her. Her mother crying and sobbing to finally see her alive, her father kissing her cheeks that he rarely does to her, Alexis smiling and telling them she misses them too.

Samantha is staring at the family that is reunited. Alexis saw the blonde stealing glances at her. A man came to approach Samantha.

"Sam, can I talk to you for a second?" Stefano asked, she nodded.

She decided to leave the family to interact first. There will be plenty of time for them to catch up now that she is back. Alexis noticed Samantha leaving with a man she recognized, Stefano.

"So he's the lucky guy," she thought.

She disregards the blonde and catches up with her family and learns that her cousin got married already.

"I didn't expect you to settle down first Jules" she said, still not believing it.

"Guess that woman enchanted me" Julia replied laughing with her cousin she missed.

"Congratulations for having a family. You had a beautiful daughter" Alexis said, making her confused.

"What do you mean?" Julia asked her cousin curiously, but was interrupted by a call. Donna is calling her wife now so she excused herself and answered it.

Donna and Dina are out of the country with their parents. They will come back after a week of vacation. Their dad wants them to spend time together most especially when Donna got married they rarely see her.

Alexis left everyone to mingle with some guests, a servant with drinks walked beside her, she took a glass of champagne and walked to where some of their investors were, however she noticed a man and a woman talking. She hid herself behind a wall and listened to their conversation.

"Hope was with her nanny, why?" Samantha asked Stefano who was looking for her daughter.

Alexis recognised the name, it is the little girl's name she helped. "So it wasn't Donna and Julia's child, that is why she was so confused" she thought while staring at the two.

All of a sudden Stefano hugged Samantha who froze. She was stunned about what he was doing and what happened next. Stefano kissed Samantha and Alexis saw everything, she felt a pang, she still has feelings for the blonde but she is already late. She decided to leave the two in private and do what she was supposed to be doing a few moments ago.

Samantha pushes Stefano away from her and slaps the man, she is furious.

"What's gotten into you?!" She said loudly, she wanted to yell but didn't want to take everyone's attention.

"I love you Sam. I can no longer tolerate hiding my feelings for you" Stefano said, grabbing Samantha's hand and kissing the back of it.

"I've told you we're only friends" Samantha said spating his hand away, not wanting to feel his touch.

"Amalie needs a father, she is bonding with me and even called me Da-da. Can't we make it for real?" he reasoned out to the blonde who was fuming with what he was saying.

"Are you out of your mind? Didn't you see Alex is back? The father of my daughter is back" Samantha muttered with anger, she wanted to slap reality onto him, he is being delusional right now.

"Alex is here? Why didn't she die for real?!" Stefano spatted enviously.

Hearing that Samantha pushes him once again. How dare he wish for her lover to be dead. Everyone was happy to have Alexis back but not him. Samantha left the man who was on the ground clenching his fist. He despised the fact that Alexis is back, how can he have the woman she adores now?

Samantha came inside the house where she left the family to catch up yet couldn't see the figure she was looking forward to speaking with and embracing.

"Where's Alex?" she asked Rachel. She pointed out that she got out and was mingling with their business investors. She saw her with them when she got some chocolate cupcakes.

Samantha left and proceeded to see the woman she longed for. She saw her talking to a group of people, she waited for a while and Alexis excused herself to get a new glass of champagne. Samantha grabs that opportunity to talk to her, she approaches Alexis who is now taking another glass of champagne from the server.

"Alex" she called out.

Alex looked at her and showed her a small smile. Samantha felt a little awkward with how distant she felt Alexis was.

"I'm so glad to see you again," Samantha said with pure joy.

"I don't feel the same way. If you excuse me I have something important to do" Alexis left after those words who left Samantha in daze.

She isn't used to how Alexis treats her now. The Alexis she know was a happy person, who loves to tease her and joke around not the cold Alexis she encountered right now

"What happened to you Alex?" She mumbles while staring at the back of the woman she loves.

Julia saw Samantha who's still in that position for a little while, she wondered what happened to the blonde who was spacing out. She approached the blonde, placed her hand on her shoulder and asked, "Is something wrong Sam?" Samantha turned to look at Julia and nodded no.

She informed her that the nanny has been looking for her because Amalie has been crying and looking for her mother. Samantha nodded and came to her daughter who stopped crying when she saw her mommy coming. She picked her and comforted her daughter who misses her, who has been trying to talk to everyone and getting the attention of Alexis.

She sighs remembering their weird encounter. She wonders what has gotten to Alexis and why she seemed distant and cold towards her. How can she let her daughter be close with her if she is that way?

The night was almost over, everyone started leaving the mansion. Samantha left the sleeping Amalie to her nanny and tried once again to talk to Alexis. She looked for her however she doesn't seem to be around. She saw Rachel who was by the parking lot waving at someone goodbye.

"Rachel, did you see Alex? I was looking for her" Samantha asked and Rachel pointed to the black car that left.

"She just left with that car. I thought she said she already bid her goodbyes to everyone" Rachel said, a little confused.

"Oh yeah. I only want to talk to her more but it's alright" Samantha said with a small smile.

Rachel noticed something was wrong but shrugged it off. She will talk to her cousin about it, Julia will ask the blonde what was wrong.

The night ended, Samantha in her bed laying, staring at the ceiling. She couldn't sleep and it's already 2am. She decided to get up and go to her daughter's room, she stared at her sleeping daughter, she crouched by the floor, held Amalie's hand and started talking to her sleeping angel.

"Da-da will soon know about you sweetie" Samantha said with tears, she is upset that Alexis is so cold towards her, she wanted her to know that for the long time she was nowhere to be found her feelings for her never changed. She wanted to tell her that with their love for each they created a beautiful creature. She didn't notice she fell asleep leaning by the crib of Amalie.

Alexis, back at the hotel she booked for the past week, was drinking a glass of martini by her hotel window looking at the city lights. She thought about the blonde.

"You're still as beautiful as ever" she muttered remembering their encounter earlier.

She couldn't help not to have a cold shoulder with the blonde, she hated the fact that she replaced her with Stefano, her cousin's cousin. And the audacity of her to approach and tell her she misses her. It boiled her blood hearing the blonde telling her she missed her but kissed the man she already had a child with.

"Did she think I'm already dead and have no chance of surviving?"

She hated the two of them, Stefano for stealing the woman she loves. She hates Samantha for breaking their promise together. She gave her the promise ring that represents her undying love for her. They even promised to marry each other in the future when they traveled in Paris. She throws the glass by the wall and it shattered into pieces, she is frustrated.

Alexis wanted to grab her by the waist and kiss her lips once again. She misses her lips on hers. Her green eyes that captured her and how she called her "My snail", she misses everything they had. Her thoughts were interrupted by a sudden call. She took her phone to see who was calling and it's the woman who she's with within five months. She dislike the woman yet stayed with her just because of their child on the way. She tried to be a good partner for her but to have her heart? that is a different scenario. She pretends to be sweet with her, most especially in front of everyone else. Her emotions are imbalanced due to her pregnancy so she had to cooperate and adjust within means.

"Livy" she answered the call. "Why call me at this hour? It's 2am here, let me have some rest" she said with frustration.

"Are you mad at me?" The female asked, sounding upset.

Alexis sighed, she apologized and reasoned that she is tired and sleepy. The female then bid goodbye and wished her to sleep well and will call her again by lunch time. She reminded her she will be flying to stay with her after everything is done with her health examination to travel. She is seven months pregnant and needs to get well.

The next day Alexis came to the mansion to see her grandmother. They talked last night that she wants to see her in the morning. She misses her granddaughter.

"Buenos dias abuela" she greeted her grandmother who was by the garden enjoying her cup of coffee and croissant.

Alejandra saw her, greeted her with a smile and invited her to have coffee as well.

"You came too early, mija" Alejandra pointed out, she didn't expect Alexis to come over at seven in the morning, she expected her to be here by nine.

"I'm still not used to the time difference. I couldn't sleep last night so I decided to have a run, shower and come here" Alexis explained.

Alejandra talked with Alexis about where she had been all this time. Alexis told her she was staying in Switzerland and was in therapy because she lost her sense of walking and was in comatose for a long time. She left the part where she was molested by a woman while she was bedridden. She doesn't want to worry her grandmother anymore.

Her grandmother was so excited to discuss throwing a party for her. She said her long lost granddaughter's homecoming party. Alejandra told her it will be next weekend and she will invite everyone that is close to their family. Alexis agreed and let her plan the party, if it makes her abuela happy then be it. She is planning to see Stefano the next day. She wants to learn how long he and Samantha have been together. Alexis doesn't want to see her parents for now, she wants to be left alone and compose herself.

She called her father about it and wanted to see them on the weekend at the party.

"Dad" she greeted Maximus on the other line.

"Alex, where are you? Why didn't you stay the night at home?" Maximus asked curious why.

"Not now dad, tell mom I miss you both so much but I need to get used to this place again. I'll see you both at the party planned by abuela" she explained, her father sighed yet understood, he thought her daughter must have been overwhelmed by everyone asking her what she's been up to within two years of not being around.

"Okay I will tell your mom, but don't you wanna see Samantha?" He asked, making Alexis confused why her dad would talk about that blonde.

"Not now, maybe sometimes. I gotta go dad, talk to you another time and see you soon" she dropped the call without waiting for her dad to reply.

It ruined her mood when she heard her father mention the blonde's name. Maximus on the other hand felt that her daughter was avoiding Samantha, he was wondering why she would do that to the mother of her child. Maybe she isn't ready to be around everyone yet? He thought.

The next day Alexis contacted Stefano, she asked Julia to give her his contacts and she wanted to speak to him about something important.

"What do you want to talk about with him?" Julia asked curiously.

"Something important, Jules." She replied.

"I'm so curious about it, can I know about it?" Julia asked, her curiosity was eating her.

Alexis and Stefano aren't close, they had few encounters when they grew up, maybe when the six of them were so little they were all close. The only closed one to Alexis is her and her brother Glenn. Stefano and Gianna are her cousins so they are much closer than they are with Alexis.

"Just please give me his contacts then I will tell you once I am done talking with him" Alexis persistently asked, Julia agreed. She doesn't want to annoy her cousin, she feels a little different from Alexis, there is part of her that tells her Alexis is a little distant and careful. She thought it was probably because of her incident.

Alexis is now meeting Stefano at a restaurant. She wants to talk to him about his relationship with Samantha and everything. She is so eager to learn about the two of them. She booked half of the restaurant, she wants people to still come over and eat yet want the half of it empty. She wants to let Stefano think it is just a deserted day for the restaurant and only few customers are dining.

"Alex" Stefano greeted her and seated, he looked around wondering why the area seemed quiet.

"Stefano," she said with a small smile.

"There aren't many customers today here" he stated and Alexis nodded. She figured it out he would notice something. "Why did you invite me here though?" He was also curious why all of a sudden she asked to see him.

"I'd like to ask some stuff with you" she paused and took a sip of her water, "I hope you will answer them truthfully" she continued.

Food came over and placed it on their table that interrupted the conversation. She already ordered the food before she arrived here. The servant poured them sparkling wine, she suggested it to be non-alcoholic, because she will be driving after. She thanked the server and told him that she would call them if they needed something else.

Alexis and Stefano started devouring the food, silently eating. Alexis took glances at the man, while Stefano is so nonchalant about it. Alexis stopped and drank her sparkling wine empty and started talking.

"How long have you been with Samantha?" She asked, Stefano choked and coughed.

He drunk his water and recovered from choking, Alexis waiting for him to answer

"Samantha and I?" He asked, Alexis nodding.

He wondered why she would ask him about the two of them. Didn't they talk already and figured out they had a child together and Samantha doesn't want anything to do with him, because the blonde dumped him.

"Why did you ask?" He asked, trying to learn more why Alexis is asking shits with him.

"Well I saw you together at the party. You two were kissing" Alexis explained.

Stefano thought and remembered how the blonde was fuming and slapped him for doing that. He smiled externally, Alexis saw them kissing so she thought they were in a relationship.

"Oh! You mean that?" He acted innocently, Alexis nodding, waiting for him to continue talking, "I invited her to come with me and kiss in private, you know there's a lot of people that evening" Stefano lied, Alexis nodding knowing that there were plenty of people.

"I didn't expect you to end up with my ex-girlfriend" Alexis said, making Stefano raise his brow.

Thinking why would Alexis say Samantha is her ex-girlfriend, while the blonde thinks that they are still lovers. He thought that something was wrong. He wanted to be careful and figure out what's going on.

"What do you really want to hear from me, Alex?" He was not patient enough with their topics anymore.

Alexis sighed, also tired of being nice and wanted him to spill everything already. All this time she wanted to punch and strangle this man.

"How long have you two been together? Did you date after I went missing? Samantha even had a kid with you already" she spite, it's obvious how annoyed and frustrated she is.

Stefano didn't fail to notice the bitterness from Alexis' words. He celebrated internally. He didn't expect her to think he is the one who got Samantha pregnant so he decided to fuel her anger more.

"Yeah we did. She grieves for you. I was there and helped her move on. We didn't expect to fall in love. The night something happened to us, we were both drunk, she was drunk because she was missing you and I was drunk because the girl I was really interested in dumped me" Stefano told each lie he could think.

Alexis listened, gathering all the information from the man she hated. Hearing it all made her despise Samantha. "So she grieved for me for a little time? Wow"

"By the time she figured out she was pregnant with our mistake, I decided to take full responsibility, so look at us now with a beautiful little girl" Stefano continued bragging with lies.

Alexis pitied herself, envious that the man made the blonde pregnant with just one night, why didn't Samantha get pregnant when they made love a lot of times? As far as Alexis felt envious, she didn't know that Samantha conceived their child the first time they slept together.

Stefano excused himself that he needed to go and see his family because he missed his daughter already. He chuckled when he got out of that place, he turned to look at Alexis who was drinking another glass of wine.

"I win this time," he said with a wicked smile.

Alexis ordered more drinks, she doesn't care if it's alcoholic anymore. She is hurt about what she just learned. She still has feelings for the blonde.

"Her love was so shallow" she mumbles, feeling her heart stabbed with needles.

The server who is staring at their VIP customer looks at her with pity. She called the manager and asked for help. The manager recognized Alexis, she is a college friend of her mother. She approached Alexis table.

"Alex" she called out. Alexis looked up and noticed the woman.

"Paola" she remembers her mom's college friend.

"Omg, I'm so happy to see you. How's your mom?" She asked the green eyed, she hadn't seen Gretta for years, that's when she remembered that her child went missing. "Oh god I'm glad you're found I heard you went missing" she asked Alexis who is a little tipsy from drinking wine, whisky and martini.

Alexis told her she's fine and came back last week. She also asked Paola to help her call a cab to drop her at the hotel she's staying at. Paola wondered why she would stay in a hotel, she shrugged the idea off and suggested that she will drive her there instead. Alexis gave her the car keys. She called some of her employees to help her carry their customer to her car.

Paola drived Alexis all the way back to her hotel. Alexis had fallen asleep on the way. She asked for some help from the staff to carry one of their guests. They checked which room she is staying over because Paola doesn't know.

One of the staff helped her, he scanned the card and the door opened. Paola and the male staff helped Alexis to get in, however a woman stopped them.

"Why are you here?" She asked, she didn't notice it was Alexis they were carrying.

"She's drunk so we helped to get her in the room" Paola answered.

The woman lift the face of Alexis and finally recognized her. She told them to put her on the bed,  gave the male staff a tip for helping. She also wanted to hand some cash to Paola but she declined and told the woman she is Alexis' mom's friend.

She thanked her, Paola then left to go back to the restaurant where she is working. The female soothed Alexis' hair, staring at her with loving eyes.

"Sam" Alexis mumbled sleepily.

The female heard the name and froze. She groaned, she thought she had already forgotten that woman. She really despised the blonde so much. She works so hard to make Alexis love her. She can feel Alexis love for her and their child on the way. That day Alexis saw those pictures she never heard her talk about the blonde, not until today.

Alexis woke up in the middle of the night and felt an arm hugging her, she panicked and got up. Later she realized she didn't end up sleeping with another woman. She looked at the woman's belly and sighed.

"I'm gonna be a parent, I should start moving on" she mumbles, she came back to bed and placed her hand on the baby bump.

She felt a kick and smiled. She is happy to feel her baby connected with her. She loved the baby already, however she hated her mother still. Alexis fell asleep talking to the baby bump. The female pretended that she was asleep. She was awakened by the kick of her child, she smiled while she listened to Alexis talking to their baby. The anger she had vanished.

Days have passed and it's the day of Alexis' homecoming party. Alejandra ended up inviting only few close personalities and business partners that they treated as friends. She heard from Maximus that Alexis was probably overwhelmed when she attended her birthday and there were plenty of people. This time she invited Donna and Rose's family. Alejandra once again invited the Herrera and Bianchi family which are Samantha's family.

The party had a dress code. Everyone can choose between white, silver, black and gold party outfit. Guests started arriving at the rented place to hold the event which is Vibiana. Alexis' family arrived in a group. Alejandra came in regal with her sons and their spouse, also her granddaughters.

Julia, Donna, Dina and Rose came riding a limo. The trio enjoyed the expensive sparkling wine inside the car, they started partying inside the limo already. Julia shaking her head to her crazy friends and wife. Samantha will be coming a little late with her family because Amalie was giving her a hard time. Amalie doesn't want her hair being touched by the stylist, Samantha sighed at the sight of her daughter.

She has been chasing her little girl around, telling her that she will leave her alone in the house and everyone will go to the party.

"Mommy and everyone will go to the party, look at them they already look pretty and handsome" she pointed at her family who are ready to leave but patiently waiting for Amalie.

"There will be lots of cupcakes there Hope" Shane said, catching the attention of their little devil.

"That's right. So do you want us to leave you here alone?" Samantha asked the little girl who shook her head no.

She then obliged to follow her mother to the stylist who gave the little girl a sweet smile to make her feel comfortable. Amalie let the stylist do her hair and it finally is done. Everyone is ready to leave and go to Vibiana for the home coming party.

Alexis came separately from the female. She needs to be here early because it's her party. She promised the pregnant woman that she would be there when she arrived and be by her side. Alexis looked at the people that were invited, she smiled at everyone who greeted her, she wished them to enjoy the party tonight.

She came to her grandmother and thanked her for this beautiful set up. She liked how it was prepared, it suits her taste. It doesn't look too bright or too dark, it is in fact pleasing to her eyes. The place was grand. There were lots of flowers and tables for everyone. She looks around to look for a specific blonde however she doesn't seem to be around this evening. She wondered why, she thought that it was probably because she gave her a cold shoulder at her grandmother's birthday party. She sighed, even though she despised her yet she still wanted to take a glimpse of her beauty.

The door of the hall all of a sudden opened revealing a family who walked elegantly. Suddenly everyone gasped seeing a beautiful maiden. She heard everyone murmuring, giving the beautiful maiden a lot of compliments.

"Wow she's gorgeous" a group of girls spoke in echo.

"I don't mind her having a kid, I would still date her" one of the younger male said.

"Yeah you're right. I don't care if she's a single parent I will date her too" another young male said making Alexis raise a brow.

"A single parent huh. She has Stefano" she thought then looked around to spot Stefano who was with his cousin, Glenn.

Alexis then felt someone tugging her pants, she looked at the culprit who was giving her a toothless smile. She looks so cute with her white dress, a little angel.

"Da-da" Amalie mumbles with a grabby hand.

"You again, young miss"
