SLOAN

“You, mister, are a troublemaker!”

“Give me a break, I haven’t even shown you the bedroom yet,” Kade says with a smirk.

“Kade, you have to give me a minute to adjust. We live here? We’re getting married?”

“Whenever you’re ready. I’m not rushing you out of the apartment. We can take our time to make changes and fix things here, to make it perfect.”

“Thank you, Kade, for all of this, it’s so romantic.”

“Well, come to bed with me, and I’ll show you just how romantic I can be.” He raises an eyebrow.

“Okay, cheese ball.”

He laughs and throws me over his shoulder and carries me up a flight of stairs into a beautiful master bedroom. When he sets me on my feet, I can finally look around.

There are really high ceilings with exposed beams and a wall of windows that look out over some trees. The entire house has a kind of upscale cabin vibe to it.

“You can change whatever you want, but I tried to make it something you’d like.”

“It’s gorgeous. This is insane.”

He smiles. “Well, I have some more news.”

“What?”

“I’ve been sitting on it for a few days, and it felt like lying, so I’m sorry for that, but, well…, ~we signed.~”

“What?” I exclaim.

“We signed a ~new~ contract with the label, three albums.”

“Kade!”

I start to jump up and down because I can’t contain myself. “Congratulations, oh, my God! I knew you could do it! Oh, my God!”

“Thank you, baby.” He pulls me tightly to him and kisses me; I can feel how happy he is.

“Kade, I love you. I’m so happy I can say that now; you don’t know how hard it’s been.”

“I do, Sloan. I wanted to tell you I loved you at the LILAC party. The first night we were together, I knew.”

“Kade, this is unreal.”

“You’re unreal. Now, come here.” He scoops me up and spins me once before he tosses me onto the bed.

He lands in front of me and slowly removes my shoes. He slides his hands up my legs and hooks my panties with one finger, dragging them down.

Once he removes them, he lies on the bed with his face centered over my sex.

“Babe…”

“Sloan, you’re so sexy, you’ve been teasing me in this dress all night. I can’t wait to taste you.” He crashes his lips into me and parts my folds with his tongue.

“Ahhh, Kade.”

He drags his mouth up to my nerve bundle and playfully flicks his tongue. “Cum for me, baby. I want you nice and wet so I can make love to you.”

His words send shivers through my body. I throw my head back and give in to the feeling until the tip of his tongue throws me over the edge.

“Yes, Kade!”

He looms over me while he strips the rest of his clothes off, and the first thought that comes to mind is, ~I can’t believe that I get to marry this man.~

He takes my dress up over my head until I’m naked under him, then he drinks me in. “You’re so perfect; I can’t wait to put a baby in you.”

I pull him close to my face. I’m not sure about the timing, but with everything he’s surprised me with tonight, it’s fair game. “Kade, you’re gonna be a daddy,” I say quietly.

“What?” he gasps, and I can’t quite read his face.

“I was going to tell you tonight. You kind of stole my thunder.”

“Oh, God, Sloan, I love you so much.”

“I love you too. I’m so glad you’re happy.”

“Of course, I’m happy! I’m over the moon! This couldn’t be more perfect. How long have you known? Is it a boy or a girl? What should we name them?”

“Whoa, tiger. It’s early. I’m going to the doctor tomorrow. You can come, too, if you’re able to. I want you to.”

He laughs. “Sorry, this is just the most exciting news! I can’t believe you didn’t tell me until now.”

“You kind of surprised me with a lot tonight. You threw me off my game,” I admit.

“Come here.”

He lifts my body and holds me tightly while he gives me a slow, intentional kiss.

I break away, breathless because I can’t wait anymore. I pull him down on top of me and wrap my legs around him.

He gives in to his desires, and with a hard thrust, he bucks into me while he holds me close. I go almost limp in his arms, letting him mold my body however he wants to.

He kisses me deeply with passion while making slow, intentional thrusts and it’s like heaven.

~I never want it to end~.

“Kade, I love you.”

“I love you, too, baby, so much.”

He kisses my neck, and when I moan his name, he increases his pace. He takes a tight grip on my hips and gives me all of him so I start to tremble and reach my release.

Soon, I can feel his hot arousal fill me up, and he lies down next to me, cradling me to his chest.

“Kade, look.” I roll onto my back, take his hand, and sling it low on my belly, where an almost undetectable bump is forming.

His eyes light up. “Hi, baby!” he says.

“I think I might be three or four months already. I just thought all my symptoms were due to stress from the new job and everything, but I took a test a few days ago and it was positive.”

“They can tell you tomorrow, right?”

“They should be able to. I just hope everything is okay, I truly didn’t know. I don’t have any bad habits except when we have wine with dinner, but that’s usually only a glass here and there.”

“It’s going to be okay; everything is perfect.” He kisses me sweetly. “Do you want to stay here tonight? I stocked the bathroom.”

“That’s a perfect idea.”

“Marlene told me that it’s okay if you’re late tomorrow,” he says with a wink.

“Oh, yeah?”

“Yes, ma’am.” He scoops me up in his arms and carries me to the bathroom.

When Kade sets me on my feet in the bathroom, I can hardly believe it. It’s gorgeous, with a huge bathtub that looks more like a hot tub.

“Want to take a bath?”

I laugh. “Um, yes! One thousand percent, yes.”

“One thousand percent, huh? Well, come on.” He starts the bath, and we both get in.

“I don’t know how you did all of this without me knowing.”

“It wasn’t that hard, I just did it when you were at work. But it was hard not to tell you everything.”

“It was an incredible surprise. I knew we were in love, I felt it, but it’s just nice having it all out in the open now. I love telling you that I love you.”

He smirks. “Whoa, high praise.”

“You deserve it. So, tell me about signing. I want to hear everything.”

“Well, it’s a three-album deal. Right now, we’re only concerned with the first one that we’ve been working on.”

“You said you were almost done with it, right?”

“We thought we were, but now that the label is involved, they want us to work with a certain producer. I have to go to Chicago for a while.

“I don’t want to be away from you, but if you can get time off, you can come with me. Otherwise, I’ll do my best to make it short.”

“Kade, this is your career, this is everything you’ve been working for. I’m not going to get in the way of that.”

“Sloan, baby, I appreciate that but it’s not just you anymore. We need to find out about that little bean in there before we can make any decisions.”

“We’ll know more tomorrow, but I’m just saying, don’t be worried that I’m going to be upset or something. I support you, the same way you support me.”

“Come here, baby, I want to hold my fiancée.”

Kade takes me in his arms, and everything about the moment is completely relaxing. I almost want to fall asleep, but then he starts to work on my shoulders and back.

“So, this is why your back has been bothering you, huh?”

“I guess that makes sense. That feels perfect.”

“Now that I know you have a bun in the oven, I’m going to have to take even better care of you.”

I giggle. “Oh, yeah? I don’t know how that’s possible.”

He laughs. “Prepare to be amazed.”

After Kade and I finish our bath, he gives me one of his T-shirts to sleep in, and we get back into bed.

“Kade, thank you for today, for all of this. I’m just happy that you love me, but this ring, the house? Everything is so perfect.”

“You are so perfect. You are all I need; everything I’ve ever wanted. I’m telling you, Sloan, since the day I saw you, I knew it.

“When I caught you falling off that ladder, I was done, the end. Once I touched you, smelled your hair… I was never going to be okay without you.”

“Babe, you are so romantic.”

He chuckles. “You make me feel all mushy inside.”

“I love you and your sweet mush.”

“I love you so much.” He pulls me close and kisses me goodnight, and it doesn’t take long before I’m falling asleep.
