The festival was in full swing. The entire university buzzed with energy-stalls lined the pathways, laughter and chatter filled the air, and the scent of food, fresh flowers, and excitement mingled together.
Fourth and Gia, as the representatives of the business faculty, had been non-stop busy since morning, making sure their stall ran smoothly. Along with their classmates, they organized interactive games, handed out brochures, and ensured everything looked perfect.
But amid the fest's chaos and celebration, another faculty had come up with a particularly intriguing event-one that was already causing a stir.
A booth near the central festival grounds had a large banner that read: Say It With Roses !
The concept was simple: anyone could buy a small bouquet of roses and gift it to whoever they wanted. It didn't have to be romantic-it could be for a friend, a mentor, a crush, or even just someone they admired.
Naturally, it had quickly turned into a spectacle.
With students from different faculties participating, eyes were glued to every bouquet exchange-whispers, cheers, and playful teasing echoing across the festival grounds.
And that's when it happened.
Rai, a third-year engineering student, stood near the bouquet booth, holding a carefully chosen bouquet of red roses.
( He is Yorch )
He was popular-known for his sharp features, confident demeanor, and effortless charm. Some whispered about his countless admirers, others speculated who the bouquet was meant for.
As he began walking through the crowd, bouquet in hand, all eyes were glued to him.
Everyone assumed he was heading toward Gia-after all, she was not only beautiful but also the sister of Gemini, someone even Rai wouldn't dare cross easily.
But then-
He walked straight past Gia. And stopped in front of Fourth.
Fourth had been completely unaware of the event, too focused on adjusting the stall's display. He barely noticed Rai's presence until a bouquet of roses suddenly appeared in front of him.
He blinked, looking up in confusion. ...What's this ?
Rai smiled, his voice smooth. A bouquet. For you.
Fourth, still confused, accepted the flowers out of politeness. He held them in his hands, glancing at them before looking back up at Rai. Uh... thanks ?
The entire business faculty stall fell silent.
The whispers started.
"He gave it to Fourth ?"
"Wait, isn't Rai straight ?"
"No way, was this a confession ?"
Fourth, oblivious to all of it, simply set the flowers down on the table, thinking it was some kind of decorative gift for their stall.
Meanwhile, Rai was still standing there, watching him-clearly trying to flirt, but Fourth wasn't paying attention.
Because in the back of his mind, the only attention that had mattered lately... was Gemini's.
At that exact moment, Gemini had just arrived at the festival.
Fresh from a meeting, he had ditched his suit jacket, the sleeves of his white dress shirt rolled up, his hair still perfectly styled. His sharp gaze swept across the festival grounds until it landed on exactly what he wasn't prepared to see-
Fourth. With a bouquet. And some guy standing way too close to him.
Gemini's eyes darkened instantly. Something inside him snapped. His strides lengthened, his pace quickened-and before Rai could get another word in, Gemini had already reached Fourth.
Without a single pause, Gemini's fingers wrapped around Fourth's wrist, his grip firm but not painful. Fourth startled, looking up just as Gemini leaned in slightly, his voice low and authoritative. We're leaving.
And just like that, Gemini dragged him away.
Away from the stall.
Away from Rai.
Away from the lingering gazes and murmurs.
Straight toward the parking lot.
The grip around Fourth's wrist was tightening, and Gemini didn't even realize it.
He was moving on autopilot, fueled by the possessiveness raging inside of him, by the irrational jealousy that burned through his veins like fire. His entire focus was fixed on one thing-
Fourth.
Not the murmurs of the crowd, not the students whispering behind them, not even the way Fourth was slightly struggling against his hold.
It was only when a small whimper left Fourth's lips that Gemini halted in front of his sleek black Mercedes Benz. Fourth's breath was uneven as he looked up at the taller man, his soft voice finally breaking the silence. Phi G-Gemini... you're hurting me.
His voice wasn't accusing-just quiet and unsure, as if he didn't know whether he was allowed to say it. But Gemini, still clouded by his own emotions, didn't let go.
Instead, his voice came out cold, detached. Get inside the car.
There was no room for argument. No space for Fourth to ask why or what was happening. And Fourth, knowing better than to provoke an angry Gemini, silently obeyed.
The drive was silent.
The usual Gemini-the one who teased him, who stole kisses and smirked like he owned the world-wasn't here. This Gemini was cold, dangerous, simmering with silent rage.
Fourth, still holding the forgotten bouquet in his lap, swallowed and hesitated before speaking....Phi Gemini, where are we going ?
No response.
Gemini's grip on the wheel tightened, knuckles turning white. His sharp jaw clenched as he stared ahead, the glow of the city lights reflecting in his stormy eyes.
Fourth knew better than to push further. So he did what he did best-he stayed quiet.
The car pulled up to a luxurious five-star hotel, its name glowing elegantly under the night sky.
Fourth blinked in confusion. A hotel ?
Before he could question it, Gemini had already opened his door, grabbing his wrist once again, dragging him inside.
Everything happened so fast-Gemini walking to the front desk, coldly asking for a room, the receptionist processing it swiftly, and then the elevator ride where the air between them was unbearably heavy.
Fourth didn't say a word. He wasn't scared of Gemini, but he was scared of the unknown. Scared of why Gemini was acting like this.
The second the hotel room door clicked shut, Fourth barely had time to react before his back hit the wall.
Gemini had pinned him. One hand next to his head, the other gripping his waist just firm enough to keep him right where he was. The sheer intensity in Gemini's dark, burning gaze made Fourth's breath catch.
Gemini's voice was low, quiet-but terrifyingly controlled. What was it ?
Fourth blinked, confused. What...?
Gemini's jaw tensed, his lips parting slightly as if he were trying to hold himself back. The flowers. That boy. What was it ?
And just like that, Fourth understood. His brows furrowed in realization. That's what this was about.
But before he could explain his side, before he could even tell Gemini that he didn't think anything of it,
Gemini crashed their lips together.
It was rough. Desperate. Overpowering.
Gemini kissed him like he wanted to erase whatever had happened earlier, like he wanted to burn away any trace of another man daring to approach Fourth.
Fourth's small hands gripped the front of Gemini's shirt, his mind blank as he tried to process what was happening.
By the time Gemini pulled away, both were breathless.
Gemini's forehead rested against Fourth's, his chest rising and falling as if he were barely containing something inside himself.
When he spoke, his voice was softer this time.
I like you.
Fourth's heart stopped.
Gemini closed his eyes, taking a deep breath before whispering, ...More than I should. More than I've ever liked anyone.
Fourth, still catching his breath, stared at him. He wasn't sure if he was dreaming.
But in the quiet of the dimly lit hotel room, with the heat of Gemini's touch still lingering on his lips, he did what he always did- He asked the one question that mattered most.
...Why ?
Why him?
Why was Gemini, a man who had never once cared about relationships, suddenly looking at him like this?
Gemini's hand gently cupped his cheek, his thumb brushing over Fourth's soft skin. And in a voice so raw, so sincere, he gave him the only answer he had-
Because when I'm with you... even my untamable inner demons behave and sit down.
Fourth's breath hitched. Before he could even process those words,
Gemini kissed him again.
But this time-
It wasn't rough. It wasn't desperate.
It was gentle. Deep. Overflowing with emotion.
It was the kind of kiss that told Fourth everything Gemini couldn't say in words.
And Fourth-He didn't pull away.
