Chapter 22 : Troublemaker Indeed

A black pony tail haired woman walked through the empty corridor. Sound of her footsteps echoed in the corridor of the spaceship. Her glasses reflected the light from the glass window showing the space outside beside her, giving a sense of mystery around her with her lips formed into a frown.

On her right hand, she held a helmet she used to see through someone memories and on her left hand, she held a broken watch which she gripped tightly.

As she made a turn, she came across a door and it immediately slide open. She quickly stepped inside and walked straight to the only table inside the room.

The person sat on the spin chair grinned up at her, "So, how is it? Did you find a way to fix it?"

She put both the helmet and the power watch on the table while clicking her tongue, "Boss, it's more complicated than I thought."

"Why?" The grinned dissapeared, replaced by a scowl.

Aura sighed. She took the broken power watch, removing the cover and pointed to the complicated shape of the circuit board.

"I've never see anything like this in my whole life as a technichian. Even if I did, I would already make countless of technology with this circuit board and become a succesful woman whose living her life as a millioner and married with lots of hot men, not as a single poor woman who still hesitated to buy the cheapest instant noodles in the shabbiest market."

Ronien ignored the sarcasm dripping in her words as he stared intensely at the power watch. He felt anger settled under his skin since none of his methods succed so far.

After a long silence, Aura spoke up as she suggested, "Boss, why don't we give the power watch to Galang?"

Ronien slammed his hand down to the table and angrily shouted, "That shameless man will only drain our money, same as that short and green squared head alien!"

"..."

Aura barely restrained herself from snorting at Bago Go's nickname given by Ronien.

"...But boss, our equipments are still low in repairing such high technology compared to him."

Ronien gritted his teeth, his knuckles turned white as he tightly gripped his fists. Inside, he cursed the world for their favoritism in testing his patience.

"Damn it, fine! Give it to him! Tell him to repair it quickly!"

Aura exhaled before bowing her head, "Sure, boss."

She took out her tablet from her white coat and sent messages to Galang when she finally got Ronien's approval.

Ronien leaned back to his chair. His fingers tapped the table as he stared at the power watch with his eyes still narrowing in anger.

"How's that boy condition?"

"He's unconcious, boss." Aura said without looking up from her tablet.

Ronien clicked his tongue as he slowly spun on his spinning chair. It maybe really childish of him. However, you might want to think back before saying that.

He, who bring destruction and massacres on his way, is childish?

You should take a look at tenth of planets he destroyed since their first appearance in public.

He continued to stare at the power watch on the table. His instinct told him that there's something off with it. Yet, he couldn't pin point what is it.

He waved his hands, "Prepare the money and transfer 10 billion to him. I want a satisfied result once this thing is fix."

Aura nodded before she walked out of the room with the power watch. Ronien gazed her retreating back and closed his eyes as a picture of a cheerful little girl entered his mind.

"Damn it! I think I'm going crazy with this endless forest!" Blaze pulled his hair and shout in frustation.

They've been walking nonstop in hope to find an open area to rest. But all they could found are dead trees and a dark sky with no stars sparkling.

Taufan lied on his back on his hoverboard with his legs dangling. He yawned, causing tears to produced from the corner of his eyes.

"So tired..." He murmured as he wiped the tears away from his eyes.

Hearing Taufan's yawn, Blaze couldn't resist and also yawned loudly, "Agh! I never feel this tired before! Feels like I just want to sleep for years."

Taufan peeked at him and attempt to made a joke, "That's really as dark as this forest."

Blaze snorted at him.

As they walked, they rely on their sharp hearing rather than their sight. Thus, they didn't stumble into any monsters or wild animals on their way. With this, they at least could stored up their energy longer.

"..."

Blaze stopped on his track when his hearing caught something not far from their location. He sharpened his hearing as his blazing orange eyes observed his surrounding.

"...–haha..."

Taufan snapped his head to their left, the same with Blaze. They looked at each other before turned to their left again.

"...I really think today is our unlucky day." Taufan deadpanned.

Blaze could only extinguished his flame silently and their surrounding turned dark all of a sudden. However, it didn't last long when two fire balls suddenly appeared around Blaze and floated behind him.

They lit up their surrounding brighter than the previous one. Taufan and Blaze nodded at each other and they ran together to that direction.

Ice ran with the power sphere safely tucked in his arm. He panted as he tried to called the others through the power watch. But the writing 'no conncetion' was the only thing appeared on the screen.

Ice blankly muttered, "I really hate doing missions that have to move a lot."

His pyshical was not as good as Blaze despite them being twins since all he did was lazing around, sleeping or eating. That's fine since he's not a close combat attacker like Hali or Blaze.

But still, he shouldn't be this tired just from running for almost half an hour. Yes, he can make an ice slide and just slide above this cursed forest while sleeping.

However, his brain already calculated the advantage and the disadvantage of his action if he do that. Using his power on his behalf just because he want to sleep would drain his energy quickly. And he didn't want to be vulnerable in the middle of an unknown forest if he couldn't use his elemental power.

Ice narrowly dodged from a branch that almost smack him on the face. He was sweaty and the jacket made him uncomfortable. The chilly air blown right to his face, causing him to shiver in delight.

Coldness had always been his favourite. He didn't like something hot or warm— Blaze is an exception— and always found them uncomfortable. He liked it when he lounged in a cold room accompanied by the others.

But, this kind of cold, dark, and lonely was not something he found comfortable. It felt empty as if he was standing in a dark and endless void. Very unpleasant.

"...–nd you!–"

Ice halted, "..."

See what he meant by unpleasant?

Who would play in the middle of a dark forest? Well, them were an exception. He knew the trio troublemaker wouldn't play around in this situation. Ice closed his eyes and resigned to his fate.

I still want to cuddle with my whale plushie..

Thorn and the little girl certainly had their little time. They kept playing another game once the previous game end.

Thorn hide his face in his folded hands, "8.. 9... 10! Ready or not, here I come!"

Only silence answered him. He opened both his eyes and peaked from his shoulders. He didn't saw the little girl so he started to search her.

His green eyes swept over every corner before fell into one particular area. His lips formed into a grin as he slowly walked there.

He tiptoed slowly before his sharp hearing caught whispers behind the twitching bushes. His eyes glinted as he rose his hands to reach the bushes and—

"Huh?" Thorn made a confused noise.

He didn't see anyone the moment he peeked behind the bushes. Thorn scratched his head and turned around only to be met with Taufan and Blaze faces suddenly.

"Boo!"

He yelped in surprised and fell down to his butt. Taufan grinned at him while Blaze laughed loudly as Thorn looked up at them with his wide green eyes, pouting.

"Hahahaha! Man, you should see your shock face, Thornie! It's really precious!" Blaze laughed.

Taufan giggled and outstretched his hand to help Thorn get up, "It was the best sight I've seen ever since we started this mission on this planet."

Thorn held onto Taufan's hand and got up. He dusted off his clothes before looking at them with puffed cheeks.

"Where were you guys earlier? Thorn was lost and found a cute little girl who was also lost. So, we decided to play little game to pass the time."

'Little girl?' Were the thought that ran in Taufan and Blaze minds.

Taufan looked lost for seconds and asked warily, "Thorn, which little girl are you talking about?"

Thorn beamed, "A cute little girl with pale skin and white dress! She looked like an angel."

When their suspicious was confirmed, Blaze held both Thorn's shoulders and shook him.

"Thornie, my most naive brother, have you ever thought how come a little girl get lost in the middle of this endless forest?!"

Thorn stared at Blaze with confusion written all over his face, "Well, she could be playing and gone to far inside the forest."

Taufan interrupted, "But Thornie, remember what Fang said about this planet? This is a dying planet, almost dead, and is currently abandoned. No one should live here."

Thorn opened his mouth when a gust of chilly air brushed past them. He and Blaze shuddered and simultaneously glanced at Taufan. Taufan was also shivering and rose both his hands in the air.

"Not me."

Another gust of wind came and they felt presence nearby. They looked left and right in alarmed when Thorn felt someone tugged his pant and looked down.

"Brother, let's play another game." A little girl with face full of holes and maggots stared up at Thorn. Her eyes socket was empty, which full of maggots crawling outside.

Taufan and Blaze stared horified at the little girl with gaping mouth. Thorn smiled at her and looked up to those two pale faces.

"This is the little girl Thorn was talking about. Oh, these two are my brothers, Lazey and Upan. So, isn't she cute?" Thorn grinned at them.

Blaze and Taufan, "..."

What do you mean by cute huh? Is face full of dirt and maggots what you called cute? Something must be wrong with his eyes.

Blaze gulped, "W-we can't having an eyes problem, ca-can we..?"

Taufan slowly nodded, "...It's actually impossible with our status as elemental."

"What are you guys talking about?" Thorn tilted his head to the side.

"We're talking about her." Blaze pointed to the little girl standing still beside Thorn.

Taufan hurriedly stepped forward and held Thorn's wrist. Blue carribean eyes stared straight and deep into a pair of innocent wide green eyes.

"Thorn, we need to go. We have to find the others quickly and get the power sphere."

"But what about the lit–"

Before Thorn could finish his sentence, clawed hand came from behind him and soared forward toward Taufan's neck. Everyone watched in slow motion as it was only one centimeter apart from piercing Taufan's neck, but Taufan swiftly dodged the incoming attack using his wind element.

In a flash, Thorn and Blaze already stood beside Taufan with Thorn checking Taufan's neck for any injuries and Blaze acting like a shield from the culprit.

Taufan only smiled brightly at Thorn's concerned gaze, "No worries! I'm as good as morning breeze!"

They turned toward the little girl whose bang was covering her upper face with both her clawed hand limply hanging to her side. Then, her chapped lips open and voice as soft as cotton was heard from the little girl.

"Brother, where are you going? You promise that we will play games forever."

Blaze stared stupefied at Thorn, "Forever? Dude, what?"

"...But she didn't say that.." Thorn whispered in horor.

Taufan, who was silent, suddenly spoke up, "I remember that Boboiboy always scream something in weird language everytime he sees the jumpscare part when he watches horor movies. I think this is the right time to say it?"

"Say wh—"

The little girl disappeared all of a sudden, cutting Blaze's sentence before he could asked what Taufan meant. Immediately, they checked their surrounding for her presence when Blaze felt something approached him from his left.

Turned to that side, he was meet with a rotten face that showed half of a look alike human skull. Blaze reacted fast and blocked the claw that was stretched to pierce him to death with his fiery kick.

Seeing that already two of her attacks did not succesfully hurt the oponents, she jumped back, and at the same time sharp wind slash soared to her at a fast speed and she leaned back.

She leaned to much that she did the upward bow pose and started to crawl like a spider. She turned around to faced them and rotated her head until her face was visible to them.

To say that it was a disturbing scenery was true. Pale appearance with empty eyes sockey and half her face was rotten, showing a part of her skull.

Those three put on their fighting stance, readying themselves for when the little girl decide to attack. As on cue, the little girl suddenly crawled to them really fast the same time the air felt a little colder.

Sounds of crackling reached their ear, and before none of them could react, a berg of ice shot up and succefully trapping the little girl half of the body.

"SHRIEEKK!!"

She dissapeared as if dissolving into the air with last shrill scream. Those three were really in a surprised state and turned to the forest behind the previous little girl.

The culprit of such surprised attack decided to step out from the darkness and revealing themselves under Taufan, Blaze, and Thorn wary turned cheery gazes.

"...So, it seemed that my prayer were answer, but not in the way I imagined..."

Taufan and Blaze, "Ice!"

"Icey!" Thorn beamed.

There he stood, panting with his hoodie fell down to his shoulder. His figure was illuminated by the moonlight, causing his cold icy blue eyes to shone colder. And those cold blue eyes were syaring at them with its usual calmness with a little hint of warmth.

Narusyan, suddenly barges in to the living room : Guys! Breaking Nrws!!

Me, surprises : Ruru, calm down! You even stuttered!

Narusyan : I can't! I'm really excited! Do you guys know?!

Kuro, rolls her eyes : What is it?

Narusyan, beams : TAUFAN GOT HIS THIRD TIER!! FU— GUYS, I SAW HIS HAIR TURN BLUE IN FRONT OF MY EYES AND I FEEL LIKE FAINTING!!

Me, slams my hand down : HOLY MOCHI! REALLY??

Narusyan, nods vigorously.

Shiro : Shiro wants to see with her own eyes QwQ

Kuro : Let me guess, we're gonna invite the elemental brothers to have dinner together?

Us three : YES!

Kuro, sighing : Haahhh, okay, you guys invite them over.

Us three, dancing around : HORAYY!

But, seriously! It was really surprising! He didn't get any part with fusion, but he got the first third tier!! Congratulation, Upan!!
