Chapter 23 : Obstacle On The Way!

Okay, before we continue with the next chapter, I will explain to you all about the previous chapter.

Now, about Thorn.

In here, it's really common when people missing in the middle of the woods- Ah let me rephrase it- Haunted woods. In fact, some people believe that the victims were lulled by the ghosts who represented the people the victims knew very well and causing them to believe that the ghosts were really their friend when in fact it's not. So if they're still not found for days, we believe that they were brought by the ghosts to their realm and will never come back.

And that's what Thorn see! He didn't see any abnormal from the girl since the girl used illusion for him causing him to believed that the little girl was normal, but not Taufan and Blaze because Thorn took the little girl interest.

Ice stared at them calmly and just now those three realized that Ice was holding something they familiar with.

"Is that the mysterious power sphere that we have to find?" Taufan asked as they walked near and inspected the power sphere.

Blaze and Thorn stared at the power sphere with spark in their eyes and various 'ooohh!', 'waahhhh!', 'woooww!' occasionally tumbling out of their mouth like a curious newborn baby.

Ice couldn't help, but sighed softly at them. "Come on. We have to meet Gempa, Halilintar and Solar quickly."

Blaze rose an eyebrow at him in slight disbelief, "Have you even find the way out from this forest?"

Ice stared silently at him before turning his gaze away to Taufan. The latter shifted uncomfortably under the former heavy gaze.

"I didn't find it, but Taufan should know the way out using his wind elemental."

And there was a really heavy silence. Ice confession really struck down at them like a lightning. Blaze and Thorn turned to the said person wordlessly with dead fish eyes while Taufan stood frozen as sweat profusely pouring down from his face.

Blaze and Thorn, "..."

"I can do that..? Wait- That's true, I really can do that!" Then he gave a nervous laughs, glancing at Blaze and Thorn from the corner of his eyes.

Blaze and Thorn's faces distorted as they looked at him while shaking their head slowly in rythm.

"I've been walking with you and lit up our surrounding for hours non stop while you flew with your hoverboard, yet you know the way out? All this time?!" Blaze's voice trembled in disbelief.

Taufan interfered, "Do you think you're the only one who is really tired?"

"Then, who's the other one? You?!"

"Yeah! I'm tired of keeping my eyes opened to accompanied you."

Blaze gasped, "Are you blaming me?"

Ice could only exhaled softly through his nose as if releasing his frustation in one breathe. Taufan and Blaze fought as they rolled around on the ground with Thorn cheering for them with his innocent face in the background and he was holding-

Is that pom poms?! Where'd he get that from?!

"Enough. Let's hurry and get out from here. I can't wait to cuddle with my whale plushy." Ice yawned.

The trio stopped and looked at Ice at the same time. Taufan and Blaze stood up from their position on the ground. They dusted off their clothes before Taufan closed his eyes to focus more on his surrounding.

"Arahan Angin."

Instantly, the wind around them swirled around, causing their clothes to swayed in a soft motion before being completely still. After few seconds of waiting for a miracle, Taufan finally opened both his eyes and grinned. He eagerly turned around and pointed to the forest behind him.

"This way! It's not that far from here! And if we run with all of our remaining energy, it won't take hours to get out from this forest."

Those three stared at the direction Taufan was designated with tight lips. They looked back to glance at Taufan's finger, afraid that they'd mistaken. The problem is... that direction was the darkest area they had seen.

Blaze was really doubting his eyesight right now.

No, they're not afraid. It's just that they're really at a disadvantage situation. They have no energy left to run while at the same time Blaze had to lit up their surrounding to get a better view. Frustation really ate him up and he felt like tearing up all his hair as his eyes felt hot.

"Are you sure that's the way out?" Ice rose an eyebrow at Taufan.

"100% sure!" Taufan enthusiastically replied.

Ice shrugged before walking forward to the direction. Taufan followed behind with little skips on his steps. Thorn and Blaze looked at each other in hesitation before running to catch up on them.

Let's be honest, it's been hundreds years since the last time they explored various planets with their previous users. Since their connection with Boboiboy as their new user, they'd been staying on earth for almost ten years.

Don't misunderstood. The scenery on earth were pretty and relaxing with its own unique. So many difference race and culture is what made earth looked special.

However, their familiarity made them feel alien to the place where they were born. They don't regret it though. What's important to them is to get back their home. Determination sparked in their eyes as they walked forward.

They will definitely get their home back!

"You still can't connect with them?"

Gempa kept pressing on his power watch with frown on his face. A pair of golden eyes narrowed in deep concentration as his lips pulled into a scowl. But the same words kept appearing on his power watch with every attempt he pulled.

Gempa sighed and his shoulders slumped forward, "Sadly yes, Hali."

Hali pursed his lips. His red eyes darkened, not suitable for the almost visible dark bag under his eyes. His hat was already taken off and put aside, revealing his messy brown hair. He sighed, closed his eyes and brushed his hair back while clicking his tongue.

Solar, being the nerd and the always want to know everything he is, choosed to stared out of the window with sparkling eyes. Full of modern technologies wandered around outside, and the light from various size of advertisement holographics outside reflected in his eyes, making his silver eyes shone with glee and awe.

It's been hundred years since the last time he was used and the technologies that time were still average and simple compared to nowadays. With Boboiboy as their new owner, it was still hard for them to have one day holiday and go sight seeing to another planets because of his job as power spheres protector. Stuck inside Ochobot really made him curious for the situation at the outside world after all those years full of emptiness in his heart.

In contrast with Solar's feeling, the other two elementals were anxiously trying to communicate with the other four. Gempa kept fiddling with his power watch. He silently hope– pray– in his heart for his brothers safety.

Halilintar couldn't hold it back anymore. Gempa's anxiousness really screaming loudly and reached his ears in an almost deafening volume. He straightened his back and walked over to him.

He grabbed both Gempa's shoulder, forcing Gempa to flinched and looked up to him in shock, "Gempa, you worry to much about them. Remember that this isn't our real age, we're not teenagers. You also already knew that Taufan can use his wind to help him get out from the forest and find the others safely."

In Gempa's shock and daze because that was probably the longest words Halilintar to ever uttered, he whispered softly, "...I didn't know.."

Halilintar, "..."

Gempa, "..."

"..." Halilintar slowly retrieved his hands back.

"He never told me about that." Gempa coughed and looked to the other side as he continued.

"That's fine." Halilintar stoicly replied.

His pair of red eyes darkened. He'll make sure that he raise the intensity of their training until Taufan couldn't feel nor move his body when they get back. Halilintar took a deep breathe and stepped out of the room to breath fresh air.

"There one was a ship that put to sea~" Blaze started.

"The name of the ship was 'The Billy of Tea'~" Taufan grinned as he continued while swinging his index fingers side to side.

"The winds blew up, her bow dipped down~" Thorn nodded his head up and down to the rythm.

"Oh blow, my bully boys blow~ Huh!" Those three sang together in perfect harmony while sticking close to each other and grinning.

Ice walked one step ahead from them. The dormant power sphere safely put in his arms. Dead branches and leaves being crushed under them as they walked together to their destination. Earlier, Thorn was trying to avoid the dying part of the plants but failed in the end since there were too much of it that it almost covered the ground.

"So sleepy.." Ice yawned as he snuggled and put his chin on top of the power sphere.

Ignoring those trio's voices, Ice's eyes dropped and slowly blinked. Tears were all already gathered at the corner of his eyes, threatened to fall. Despite those three attempt in trying to energize themselves, in the end only sleep could cure the highest level of exhaustion.

Blaze and Thorn yawned repeatedly from time to time the same as Ice, Taufan stretched his eyes wide using his fingers and looked to the starless sky above them. The trio already stopped their singing session and now walked quietly in a comfortable peace.

ROAAARRRR!

Of curse, peacefulness wouldn't last long. They stopped and turned to their right where the sound came from, readying themselves to attack the uninvited monster.

The monster appeared not long after it announced it existence with the appearance of giant slug with big slimy mouth. The height was probably 13-15 feet or close to four hundreds centimeter.

In conclusion, it's huge and gooey.

"I'm really not in the mood to deal with this disgusting slimy creature. I will burn this down!" Blaze hands lit up with flame as his fiery orange eyes shone wildly.

"It's a slug." Taufan deadpanned.

"A very big one at that." Ice muttered.

"And very adorable!" Thorn beamed.

The other three quickly turned and stared at Thorn weirdly at the same time.

"...You know what?! Something must be wrong with his eyes! Let's go that peanut guy after this!" Blaze advised as he ran to the slug.

Taufan looked lost for a moment before snapping his fingers after he recognized the person Blaze was refering to, "Oh! You mean Nut?"

"Yeah, that guy!" Blaze punched the slug's back with his fire punch.

"His name is Nut, not peanut." Ice sighed as he spread the ice under his feet to the slug.

But, Blaze still stubbornly defended, "It's the same thing!"

"But peanut is food and Nut is a person." Thorn added as he sent vines from under the ground to the slug, trapping it.

The slug roared when it couldn't move its body as the ice started to crawl up to its slimy body, slowly freezing it. It tried to fight back the vines that wrapped tightly around it to prevent it from moving.

Thorn frowned when some of the vines started to tear apart one by one, so he strengthen the remaining vines and grew another vines. Ice's chilly blue eyes shone colder when the ice cracked from the slug loud roar. He pressed his feet harder and the ice became thicker until it freezed the inside and harder to destroyed.

The slug roared and started to trashed wildly as if desperate to be free. Blaze wasted no time in holding back, he jumped when the ice reached the slug's head and punched strongly. The ice cracked and crumbled into pieces in front of them.

Blaze landed and looked down to the pieces of ice under his feet and scrunched his eyebrows.

"This is too easy. Are we not gonna destroy it to little pieces?"

"Hahh, we shouldn't even kill it since the start." Ice rubbed his face, trying to lessen the exhaustion visible on his face.

Blaze blinked in confusion, "What? Why?"

Thorn hummed in thought, "Thorn remember that Solar once said slugs are really important for ecosystem since they act as... umm.. de.. de...–"

"Decomposers. They eat detritus or dead organic matter, like fallen or dead leaves, dung, and carrion." Ice continued.

Blaze and Taufan only blinked slowly at them. You could faintly heard the sounds of gears turning and moving inside their brain to process such informations. Blaze narrowed his eyes and then opened both his eyes wide in slow motion.

Ice sighed again for the tenth times, "Nevermind, let's just–"

"So, here you are." A cold voice sounded from in front of them.

Me : Aww, Ice snuggling with the power sphere is just wholesome.

Me : Hali brushing his hair back with dark bag under his eyes, making his feature sharper. Need the fanart of that.. :(  Really looking forward for Hali's fans to go crazy(*˘︶˘*)

Me : Just TTM singing 'Wellermen' with their sweet voices (✿ ╹ ◡╹)b

Me : Oh! And for you who questioning about why Taufan didn't join the action, they all save his energy so he can escorted them out with his wind without him draining too much of his energy until he passed out because of fatigue.

Me : Ahh, it's already almost 9 p.m and I've been sleepy since 5 p.m when I wrote the part the TTM&Ice exhaustion. The exhaustion really reached to my bones despite the fourth wall~~ (-。-;
