Epilogue
Zale
It wasnât long after Adira returned home that we were married and she was officially named the Lady of the House of Ohlson and, shortly after that, she gave me another miracle: a beautiful baby girl.
A baby girl with the same fire in her soul as Adira, the same auburn hair, the same green eyes, and the same ability to wrap me around her finger with a single look. We named her Meg in honor of Adiraâs mother, Megan. A year later, came Morla, our second daughter named in honor of my mother. Lastly, came Reg, our son named for Adiraâs father.
We didnât know then what we know now. The world our children would grow up in would look so much different than one Adira and I fell in love in. But, thatâs just how the story goes. The world we know wasnât always this way, either. Once there was the Council and their rogues, now there is the Legion of Darkness and their rogues and their witches. Two wars fighting for the same thing: unity.
I donât know how this war will end. I donât know what our children will see decades from now when they meet their own mates and raise their own families. All I can do is love the woman the Goddess gave me like my life depends on it, raise our children to believe in the good, and go to war with anyone who stands in our way.
And oh what a war it would be.
