Chapter 2 Aunt Mary

**19 hours later**

I get woke up by the flight attendant telling me we have landed

And then it sets in I’m in Australia I’m away from mom and hunter and it hurts hunter and me we’ve always been together we are best friends and now I have a full year without him and truth be told it sounds frightening

But as I get off the plane I see aunt Mary how I have missed her she still looks younger than ever even though she is in her late thirties as I grab my bags and get in the car I see her looking at me and I give her the look of saying ‘what’

She just said “darling look how big you’ve got, “she said with a slight Australian accent but I don’t answer I’m more caught up on thinking about what hunter is doing and if he misses me.

Mary pulls up a street that has lots of big houses or mini-mansions she pulls into the far left one 6 houses up

And I’m astonished that I will be living here for a full year.

As she opens the door I’m greeted by a long Hallway one set of stairs open rooms showing the kitchen to my bottom left a dining room at my top left and a living room to my right and I’m assuming a basement at the far bottom right and bathroom

Mary leads me up the stairs to my room and as I walk in I see duck egg walls with a big queen size bed facing the window with two draws ether side with one grey lamp on each an alarm clock a desk and chair on the right side of the window which you can see one you walk in a fur rug a walk-in closet and a door that must Leeds to the bathroom.

“like it,” Aunt Mary asks

“like it... I love it thanks so much, aunt Mary”

“Just call me Mary”

“nope aunty M it is,” I say joyfully

“OK whatever I’ll leave you to unpack”

“OK”

I unpack my belongings which are mostly cloths shoes and jewelry into the dresser draws and vanity table I put my toiletry in the bathroom which I haven’t been into till now it was large yet cozy but not too big. It has a big tub a bathroom that is separated with a wall two sinks and a mirror it also has a towel cabinet and washing basket.

After leaving the bathroom I jump on the bed and kick my shoes off I lie sprawled out with one leg bent on the bed and one on top of it I rotate my upper body towards my bag with all my electronics inside

I grab my phone and call Hunter.

“hello” I hear his voice it sounds like he just woke up hunter and his naps

“hunty bear I miss you” I whine into the phone

“hu wai Ava?”

“the one and only,” I say to him while I grab my laptop

“I miss you too Aves what’s it like?”

“it’s hot and hotter but wonderful but it just doesn’t have you”

“oh I know I wish I could be there too all those hot guys in shorts and no tops yes please”

“ugh really? Anyway, I miss you I hope you don’t forget about me” “Me forget about you? Nah but you forgetting about me could be possible”

“How could you? you’re My second half my best friend my amigo”

“I know I am so..”

“so... I saw some hot boys at the beach driving here”

“okay. Don’t tell me how hot they are as you put it since it will destroy my ego and you know how much I like it and there is only room in your life to one sexy best friend” he says probably flexing his muscles

That’s how well I know him

Two hours and many talks about the heat and beaches, later and I get called downstairs

For food

“Hey Ava foods on the stove I have to go to work I don’t know when I’ll be back Netflix is on the TVs bye,” Aunt tells me pulling her coat on and walking out the door.

Aunt Mary is a nurse so she gets called to the hospital all times of day that’s the reason she moved back to Australia.

I walk to the stove and see what she made it was chicken stew I wash my hands then grab a bowl and a glass of coke which I found in the fridge and I set them down on the kitchen island and then I sit and eat I look to the back patio door and see the woods through the glass. I watch the trees away and the forest move the fireflies and dears run its a wonderful location to be in I think personally.

After I eat and clean up I walk to the Patio door and open it the breeze hitting me in the face I step down and sit on the swinging chair I slowly rock myself back and forth with my foot while watching the night sky I feel my eyes droop and then I’m out.

I’m in a forest looking up at the moon I look down to see I have paws not feet. That’s cool. I turn my head side to side I can see everything all animals that are shuffling in the bushes everything clear as day I walk forwards with ease I then run testing out my paws I run like I’m chasing the wind I run for what feels like forever then I spot a lake and I walk up towards it I have a feeling of someone watching me so I turn around looking for what could be watching me but I find nothing. I look into the ricer that is bathed in the moonlight to see myself well a wolf she has a blue and golden eye brown with dashes of white fur to me she’s beautiful I slowly not knowing what to do I lap at the water it seems so easy yet hard but I soon pick it up but the same feeling of being watched is still there so I do a maneuver I never know I could do it consisted of turning around with my upper half down and my teeth showing a low growl conning from deep in my throat that’s when I spot 6 eyes looking at me but before I take a step I wake up

I wake to see I’m on the swing chair still and it’s dark out so I go back inside and lock the door I head up to bed and get changed into shorts and a black vest I clime under the covers and fall back asleep but this one is dreamless
