🍁chapter six 🍁

After the meeting, Shan immersed himself in his work. Rudra, on the other hand was restlessly sitting in his cabin. He kept writing something on his laptop and deleting it repeatedly. Suddenly, Rudra was distracted by the commotion outside his office.

Outside Rudra's office, Meera was arguing with Mona because Mona was not allowing her to enter into the Rudra's office. "Miss Meera, you cannot go into Rudra Sir's office like this," Mona tried to explain once again.

"Shut up and get out of my way," Meera yelled arrogantly.

"Miss Meera, please try to understand. I cannot let you go inside. It's about my job," Mona was furious at Meera but she couldn't do anything. She was trying her best to send Meera away from there because if Meera went inside then Mona had to face the wrath of Rudra's anger. Earlier Mona escaped from the punishment because that time the woman had rudra's emergency visiting card but this time if Meera entered the office then Mona wouldn't be able to escape.

Mona's phone rang, and it was none other than Rudra. "I'm dead," Mona thought to herself before she answered the call.

"What is this noise?" Rudra's heavy voice came through the line.

"Sir, Miss Meera is insisting on entering your office," Mona replied in a trembling voice.

"Let her in," Rudra said curtly and disconnected the call. Mona heaved a sigh of relief and stepped aside from the door.

"Be ready with your resignation," Meera said with attitude and stomped into Rudra's office.

Rudra was sitting in his chair like a ruthless king when Meera entered seductively and walked straight to him. "Baby, you don’t seem in a good mood. Let me help you," she said, sitting on Rudra's lap.

Rudra didn't object or showed any reaction reaction. His face remained cold as ever.

"Why are you here? Did you finish the work I gave you?" Rudra said, turning his face away from Meera.

"Baby, don’t be mad at me. I’m sorry for my bad behavior," Meera said and leaned in to kiss Rudra.

Before her lips could touch Rudra's, he pushed her away, and she fell onto the floor on her face.

"Ouch!" Meera cried out in pain, her face became red with embarrassment.

"Get lost," Rudra said, rising from his chair.

Furious Meera stood up and moved closer to Rudra. "Why did you push me, Rudra?" she demanded angrily.

Rudra's eyes turned red with anger. He grabbed her chin tightly and said while gritting his teeth, "How dare you call me by my name?"

At that moment, Rudra was looking like a devil. Meera got terrified and couldn’t utter a single word.

"Have you forgotten your place? I don’t want to see you in my company again," Rudra said, releasing her chin, causing her to fall to the floor again. This time, she didn’t even have the courage to get up.

Rudra pressed the bell on his table, and Mona entered the office in a few seconds. Mona wasn’t surprised to see Meera in this state; she had already guessed what might happen. She was relieved that she wasn’t on the receiving end of Rudra's wrath this time.

"Take her out of my office and make sure she is not in my company anymore. Settle her payment and throw her out right now." Rudra ordered with a spoiled mood.

"Yes, Sir," Mona replied respectfully.

Rudra walked into the bathroom, and Mona was dragged Meera out.

"What happened? Trying to cut someone else’s card got your own ticket canceled," Mona mocked. Meera had never been so humiliated in her whole life.

Meera looked back at Rudra’s office and thought to herself, "He thinks everything happens as per his wish. A day will come when he’ll be helpless, unable to get the thing he loves the most."

Meanwhile Rudra was in the shower, trying to rid himself of Meera’s perfume smell because That smell makes him feel nauseous.When Meera sat on Rudra's lap then a similar smell started coming from Rudra clothes as well and Rudra could not bear Meera's smell for even a minute.

Shan didn’t realize how time flew, and night fell. He had completed one of his designs and felt a bit relieved, but he still needed to finalize the material for the design.

On his way home, Shan remembered he needed to buy some kitchen supplies so he stopped at an A-Z store.

When Shan was shopping, he caught a familiar cologne scent nearby.

As he turned to look around he found Rudra standing near him.

"Boss, what are you doing here?" Shan asked in a surprised tone, while blinking his eyes.

"Why? Can’t I be here?" Rudra replied in his usual deep voice.

"No, no, that’s not what I meant," Shan quickly corrected himself. "Of course, you can."

Rudra looked at Shan but didn’t say anything and continued standing there without doing anything. Shan started feeling awkward and unsure of what to say, After all Rudra was his boss, not just some random person.

Rudra wasn’t picking anything or leaving the spot. Shan mustered the courage to ask "Boss, do you need any help? "

Without words Rudra looked at him questioningly.

"I mean if you need something, I can help you with that..." Shan explained politely yet with hesitation.

After a pause, Rudra said flatly, "Something sweet."

Shan looked around, picked some candies, and handed them to Rudra. "Try these. They’re my favorite."

"You like these?" Rudra asked with his straight face.

Shan nodded and moved toward the billing counter. After sometime when his turn came, he realized Rudra wasn’t there anymore. Shan looked here and there but couldn’t find him. "Did the boss leave?" He asked himself then thought to search for Rudra as maybe he was stuck with something again.

Shan went back and found Rudra standing in front of a shelf. "Sir, do you need any—" Shan stopped in mid-sentence and quickly ran away, his face turned red.

Rudra remained standing, confused. When he looked at the shelf, his eyes widened in surprise.

"Condoms."

"Shit... Shit... What must he be thinking about me?" Rudra muttered in frustration.

Earlier, after Shan left, Rudra had noticed a couple’s eye mask on a nearby shelf and walked over to look at it, unaware of the condoms displayed next to it.

Rudra decided to explain to Shan but realized Shan had already left the store. Taking a deep breath, Rudra went to the counter and said, "I’ll take all of these candies."

Meanwhile Shan had driven off from there but after sometime he stopped his car on an empty road. Resting his head on the steering wheel, he said  " Boss came to buy condoms, but because of me,he ended up buying candies."

Touching his red face, Shan groaned again "What must he be thinking about me? That I’m such an idiot! How will I face him in the office now?"

The more Shan thought about it, the more embarrassed he felt. "Was boss planning to do that tonight?" Shan’s face turned more red. "Shit… Shit… Shan, what are you even thinking?"

Rudra also left the store with all the candies. "I need to clarify to Shan that I wasn't buying condoms. And why would I buy them when I already have a decent collection at home?" Rudra thought to himself.
