Dodgeball anyone?

"Avery wake up! Our meeting's in two hours" Danny shouted, pounding on my door.

"I'm up you poopy head" I shot back, not exactly my finest insult, but when you live with two kids who repeat everything they hear, you learn to be careful with what you say.

"No need to be meanie, Ave"

When I heard him walk away, I rolled over and checked on Chakar. He was still sound asleep. I shook him gently, and he grumbled, swatting at my hands. "No, mummy, no wanna wake up."

"Come on daddy will be here soon, and you get to play with grandma Alice and grandpa Zach.

His eyes shot open at the mention of his grandparents. "Yay! I see Grandma and Grandpa!"

"Yes, sweetie," I said, grinning at his excitement.

He quickly got out of bed, running to our bathroom. "Wait for me, my little Usain Bolt!".

"Come on mommy, I need to get clean" He giggled.

"Yeah yeah I'm coming" I chuckled as I followed him.

It made me happy to see that he was using full sentences now. He still liked his baby talk, but on days like this, I realized I didn't need to worry. He was so intelligent for his age, and maybe this was just his way of taking a break from being a little grown-up.

"Mommy, come on!" he urged. I walked into the bathroom seeing him already undressed and waiting by the tub.

"Alright, buddy, here we go."

I filled the tub with warm water and sat him in it. Wasting no time he grabbed the loofa sticking it out to me. Someone's in a hurry.

After his bath i quickly dressed him and sent him to the living room for breakfast. I knew Danny had already ordered, and I couldn't wait to join him.

My turn,I took a quick shower, got dressed, did my makeup, and headed for breakfast.

"Finally we have to go soon its a thirty minute drive to the conference centre"

Just as I was about to sit down, a knock at the door stopped me. I didn't need to look through the peephole—I could smell Camden's scent. It pleased my wolf, but it also worried me. She was getting attached faster than I thought.

When I opened the door, Camden smiled. "Good morning."

Before I could respond, Caleb jumped into Camden's arms. "Daddy!!!" he squealed.

"Ready for a fun day?" Camden asked, smiling at Caleb.

"Yes!" Caleb giggled bouncing.

"Hey, finish your breakfast, your hands and lips are sticky you know you're not to leave the table without washing your hands".

"Sorry mommy"

He jumped down from Cams arms and walked back to the dining area.

Camden followed me to the dining room, where he had a frown on his face. I raised an eyebrow at him but he didn't say anything

Good cause I'm honestly not in the mood.

"Uncle Cam" Sophie greeted after shoving a piece of fruit in Danny's mouth.

"Princess Sophie what a surprise and how do you do" Cam joked making her giggle. The guys greeted each other and I took this time to eat. Danny ordered breakfast for Cam too.

When it was time to leave I kissed both kids goodbye "Be nice and don't give Camden any trWhen it was time to leave, I kissed both kids goodbye. "Be nice, and don't give Camden any trouble."

"Okay!" they both replied.

"Promise?"

"We promise!"

"Good, I love you guys."

As I started to walk out, Camden stopped me. "Don't I get a kiss too, Avery?"

I felt my wolf's reaction, but I forced myself to brush it off. "I have to go. Bye."

I heard his laugh as I slammed the door behind me.

Asshole.

***************CAM POV************

After the guys left, I decided to spend some time with the kids before taking them to Skyzone. My sister Alex and nephew decided to join us. The kids were bursting with excitement when we entered.

"Okay, here are the rules: Stay close to me or Aunt Alex, no talking to strangers, come to us when you need the bathroom or food, and have fun."

The place was pretty empty, since the rush didn't come until later. We paid, grabbed our socks, and headed straight for the foam pit. The kids were laughing, ducking under the foam and mimicking Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory, shouting "Bazinga!"

"I'm gonna get you guys" I called.

"You have to find us first!" they screamed, popping up from different directions.

"Bazinga!" they squealed when I tried grabbing them.

To the left "Bazinga"

Behind me "Bazinga"

Everywhere "Bazinga"

I was exhausted. We finally decided to move on to another activity. I tried getting out of the foam pit, but kept falling back in—until my sister yanked me down just as I was almost out.

The kids cheered her on while I tried to catch up, only for her to taunt me, standing on the podium with the kids beside her.

"Naah Nahh Nah Naah nah, too slow, big brother."

I sighed and climbed out, defeated.

"Can we go jumping now, Uncle Cam?" Mikey asked.

"Sure Mike's, let's go"

The trampolines were a blast. I recorded the kids jumping, falling, and trying (and mostly failing) at tricks.

While we were jumping, I heard Sophie squeal, "Daddy!" I looked over and saw Danny and Sophie dressed in sportswear, ready to jump.

"Dodgeball, anyone?" Danny called.

"Yay!" Sophie cheered.

"Sure," I said, distracted by how good Alex looked in her sportswear.

Damm she looked "So hot".

"Why, thank you" I heard her snicker.

When I snapped out my daze I realized i had said it out loud, making everyone laugh.

Lets just get ready for the game.
