Alpha’s Regret Pregnant Rejected Luna Novel
Chapter 7
âWhat exactly do you want?â Christopher probed, his voice laced with annoyance with Ethanâs indecisiveness.
âEven if you found Hazel, what would you do?â he continued, urging Ethan to confront the implications of his actions.
With a heavy sigh, Christopher gracefully exited the office, leaving Ethan alone with his thoughts. Just as Christopher departed, Bella stormed into the room, narrowly avoiding a collision with him on the
way.
âI want to be alone,â Ethan declared, his voice laden with a sense of weariness and frustration.
âWhat?â Bella inquired, moving closer, her genuine concern evident. âWhatâs wrong? Did something happen at work? You can tell me anything,â she insisted, circling around to where he sat. She reached out to touch his shoulder, but Ethan abruptly shrugged her off. âPlease leave,â he said, his patience wearing thin, his voice tinged with exasperation. âButâ¦â Bella began to protest, determined to understand what was troubling him. âNow!â he yelled, his emotions finally breaking through the surface.
âYouâre thinking about your ex, arenât you? This is blatant disrespect, after what she did to me. Now youâre even pushing me away!â Bella retorted, her frustration and anger spilling over, her deepâseated resentment for Hazel resurfacing. Even though Hazel had
disappeared, her presence still lingered, haunting their relationship. Ethanâs inability to move on fueled Bellaâs irritation.
Ethan remained silent, caught in his inner turmoil, and unable to articulate his feelings. âYou want to be alone? Fine! Iâll leave your house. Iâll leave and never come back. Go find your precious Hazel. Iâm nob*dy anyway,â she said, turning to leave. She paused at the door. hoping and expecting Ethan to chase after her, as he always did. She often guiltâtripped him and threatened to leave whenever he got lost in thoughts of his exâwife. However, today was different. Ethan remained seated quietly, his decision firm and unwavering.
âGo to your room, Bella, and remain there,â he finally commanded, his tone resolute. With an annoyed sigh, Bella slammed the door behind her, her brashness a reflection of her mounting frustration.
Inside the room, Ethanâs fists clenched in anger. Bella had become increasingly challenging. acting like a brat, and testing his patience.
She would make threats like that whenever she didnât have her way, but now he was too fatigued and stressed to give in to her demands. The strain in their relationship was clear. and even members of his pack had begun to voice their dissatisfaction, longing for his former wife and Luna, Hazel.
He sighed once again, burdened by the complexities of his life and relationships. He sat there for hours shuffling through documents and folders concerning work and the pack. Amid his contemplation, a knock echoed through the study.
âCome in,â he beckoned.
Martha, a longtime member of their household staff, entered with a polite greeting. âGood evening, Alpha.â
âMartha,â Ethan acknowledged, reclining into his seat. His composure remained steady as he inquired, âIs something wrong?â
âNo, Alpha. Nothing is wrong, Itâs just that I would like to resign,â Martha explained, her voice tinged with sadness.
âYou no longer want to work for me?â Ethan inquired calmly, knowing that Martha had been with Hazelâs family long before she joined their household.
âItâs not that way, sir,â Martha replied, her head bowed respectfully. âI would love to retire and move to the seaside.â
âOkay,â Ethan said, understanding her desire. âIs there anything I can do to make you change your mind? I can offer you a raise or something.â
âNo, sir. I would like to retire, to live with my family on the island.â Martha insisted, her resolve unwavering.
âVery well,â Ethan agreed. âYouâll be missed, Martha. When do you intend to leave?â
âBy the end of this month,â came her reply.
âAlright then,â Ethan acknowledged. âThank you for your services. Please send for James on your way out.â
Martha exited the study quietly, leaving Ethan to his thoughts. Moments later, James entered, waiting respectfully.
âJames, Martha will be retiring next month. Please make the necessary arrangements,â Ethan instructed without raising his head, still shuffling through documents.
âYes, sir,â James replied, but there was a moment of hesitation in his demeanor.
âIs there a problem?â Ethan inquired, sensing Jamesâ reluctance to speak.
âWell,â James began, âthe maids were cleaning Maâam Bellaâs room, and they found this,â he said, passing an envelope to Ethan. âI believe itâs addressed to you.â
Ethan looked up, his brows furrowing with curiosity. âWhat?â he asked, collecting the envelope and tearing it open, wondering why Bella had left a letter.
As he read the contents, his face contorted with concern, and he rushed out of the room, his steps echoing on the stairs as he dialed a number on his phone.
âWhatâs going on?â Christopher inquired, noticing Ethanâs agitated state.
âBellaâs gone,â Ethan replied, his voice filled with worry.
âGone where?â Christopher asked, bewildered by the sudden turn of events.

âSheâs gone. She said sheâs leaving, that she isnât good enough for me, and that I donât want her,â Ethan explained, exasperation and regret evident in his tone as he ran a hand through his hair.
âWhat?! Get your act together. First Hazel, now Bella. What exactly do you want?â Christopher asked in annoyance, preparing to follow Ethan in his search.
As Ethan waited for Adam to bring the car around, he muttered to himself, âPick up phone, Bella.â
the
He entered the car and began searching the streets for her, deeply regretting how he had treated his mate. He had constantly pushed her away and ignored her. Christopher was right, he and Hazel were divorced. But all he ever did was make Bella feel unwanted, at that moment he made up his mind. He had put it off long enough, once he found Bella, they would get married.

His phone rang, and he answered it. It was Christopher on the other end.
âCome to Willow Hospital right now. Bellaâs here she was hit by a car,â Christopher urgently informed him.
Ethan froze at his words, the weight of guilt crashing over him. âWhat?!â he bellowed, as panic gripped him.
âCalm down. Just drive over,â Christopher advised, urging Ethan to collect his thoughts and not do anything rash.
Guilt gnawed at Ethan as he navigated the streets, fully aware of the consequences of his
actions.
Its all my fault, I pushed my mate away he thought sadly to himself
