Chapter Thirty-Four
Twisted Mate
Eric moved to the bed with Nataly still in his arms. He sat her on the edge of the bed. He grabbed the ring and kneeled down between her legs.
" I bought you this ring as a promise that once the luna ceremony is done I will be the best mate you could have wished forâ his words sounded sincere maybe he was, but Nataly didn't trust her step farther. That made her shudder in disgust how did she end up like this?
Nataly was left out with no words what she could respond to this insane person before her. He took her silence as acceptance and took her hand in his putting the ring on her. When he moved to kiss her on her lips, she moved her face making the kiss land on her cheek.
He groaned in annoyance with his hand he grabbed her face in a tight grip to forcefully keep her in place. He was about to kiss her when he felt his beta mind link him. âAlpha Eric we have seen strangers coming into our territoryâ he moved slightly away from Nataly. âwho the heck is on patrol?â
âSome rogues you hired because you wanted the guards and warriors to take the night off to celebrate our new Lunaâs birthdayâ David answered.
Eric remembered he asked the rogue guy he was working with to let him take some of his men that night to patrol his territory. He wanted all his pack with him on this special day. He didnât think these rogues would be so stupid to let other wolf's trespass.
" I will be there in some minutes if you see any of them before I get there kill it on sightâ he was seething when he was about to get his price when this happened.
âNataly something came up there is trouble outside stay in this room until I come back for you donât you dare go outside do you understand?â
Nataly nodded. âWords Natalyâ he said angry.
âYes Eric, I will wait here.â
No, she won't stay in the room. As soon as she sees a chance she will flee. This is her opportunity to escape.
Eric rushed down the stairs almost flying to the door where he caught set with wolves from other packs coming out of the forest, they were moving toward the pack house with their hackles raised and baring their teeth.
He knew that this fight was inevitable, but he still tried to steer them away with his demanding voice. "Go back to your packs if you don't want to end up six feet below my feetâ he threatened but it didn't work.
âDavid, it seems we will have to fight shift and get in position to attackâ he ordered his beta.
