Chapter Nine

They were lucky that the wind had not spread the scent, so when they reached the cabins on the northern side of the pack grounds, they found one small cabin with an open door. Catalina swallowed hard, “that’s my aunt’s cabin.” She opened the door around this time every night hoping Aly would come and go to her room.”

Courtney feels sick to her stomach her mate was the worst monster of them all, he broke a family and spread lies about the young girl, she was sure Eric did that so no one would put any kind of effort to find the lost omega not that the pack members cared from what she has notice the rest of them all are arrogant and self-centered like their alpha. The only ones who truly have a good heart are the omegas. They are all united and take care of each other although they have nothing.

As they got closer to the cabin near the door a small woman came out to greet them “Catalina, what are you doing here so late come in child you could get sick” Alys’s mother didn’t see her Luna that was standing behind Catalina still in wolf form.

“Come luna let’s go in, we have to give the sad news to my aunt” Courtney put the sack down and shifted to her human form, “Cata give me the bag to put on my cloths” Catalina gave it to her, bended down to grab the sack and walked into the house, “I will be waiting for you inside mam” she told Courtney.

“What do you have in there? It smells awful” Aly's mom said “you will know soon aunty; I’m just waiting for luna to come in.”

“Our luna came with you! I did not see her why did you leave her outside Cata”

As Alys mom rushed out to look for their luna, she saw a young woman putting on some shoes with her back turned to her. She imagined it was her. Since she works in the kitchen, she wasn’t familiar with her. The only ones who can be in the halls are the maid omegas. If they find one wandering around, she’ll be punished.

When Courtney turns, she sees the woman that greeted them there bowing her head “I’m sorry Luna, I did not see you, with my nice come in.”

“don’t worry, let’s go inside. I came to give you some news about your daughter.”

“Luna, how would you know my daughter if she left the pack before you arrived.”

“Let’s go in and sit. I will explain everything to you.”

“Yes, luna” when they went in, they both took a seat, in one of the stools of their dining table.

“How rude of me I haven’t offered you any drink, what would you like to drink luna, I haven’t had any visit in a long time.”

“Yes, please all this running has got me thirsty can I get some water.”

“Cata, get three glasses of water, one for our luna, you and one for me.”

“Ok, oh aunty, where is my uncle? We would like him to be present as well.” Cata said.

“I just linked him, he was out in the woods looking for Aly, he will be here in a couple of minutes.”

They were just talking of him when he appeared on the threshold breathless. “Are you ok?” he said, running to check on his mate “he thought something had happened to her “I’m fine, but the luna came here to talk to us.”

“oh” he said, noticing the strange energy around them and seeing the young woman sitting next to his mate he quickly bowed to her “my apologies Luna, I didn’t acknowledge your presence” he said sincerely.
