Chapter 420
I Am The Luna
Chapter 0420
ZADE.
âIâm so sorry I got you dragged into this.â
âDid you rent this property in your name?â I ask.
She shakes her head. âIâm trespassing⦠It was empty. I was just crashing here as I had nowhere else I
could go.â Adrianaâs saying guiltily as she tries to walk, but sheâs in a pretty bad state.
âWeâre a team,â Valerie replies, fixing a shirt sheâs put on Ada.
âAlright ladies, letâs go. Iâll carry Ada, Val if you can help Adriana. I just need to burn this fucking place
down. Do you have anything you need to take?â I ask, looking at Adriana.
âThereâs a large gym bag under the bed. Thatâs the main thing.â
I crouch down and pull it out as Valerie grabs her medical supplies and helps put Adrianaâs arm around
her shoulders and holds her waist.
âDidnât think this would be how our first meeting would go,â Adriana says to her as I flip open the bag.
Valerie chuckles. âItâs memorable at least.â
âZade that!ââ
âIâm not taking anything with me without searching,â I reply coldly, cutting Adriana off, but itâs just cash,
bandages, some herbs, and a few other items, including her laptop. Zipping it up, I shoulder it, picking
up the items I had taken from the first two men.
âDo you think sheâs going to be ok doctor?â Adriana asks as I pick up Ada.
âCall me Valerie. Her body is stabilising, but Iâm not sure about her comatose state, especially since
sheâs been in that state for a while,â Valerie explains gently.
I doubt sheâll wake up, but I donât say anything, leading the way out of the room and downstairs.
âGoddessâ¦â Valerie murmurs, and I donât need to turn to know sheâs sickened at the sight.
âAny other way out of here, aside from the front door?â I ask Adriana.
âThereâs a back gate that leads down to the alleyway,â she replies.

I nod, placing Ada down and head back upstairs. I just need a minute. I head upstairs to where I had
placed the items I had removed from the first bodies and pick up the two grenades. These are good,
but I needed to make sure that this place is completely destroyed.
I pile the bodies together in the hall before I enter the kitchen and turn the gas from the cooker on,
hearing the whistle as the room begins to smell.
âLetâs get out of here,â I say, lifting Ada once more. Unlocking the back door, I assess the area, before
letting Valerie step outside first.
âGet to the back gate now,â I order, carrying Ada to the gate, as Valerie and Adriana manage to unlock
the gate and step inside. I motion them to move further back and place Ada down along with the bag.
âIâll be back.â
âZadeâ¦â
I turn to Valerie, worry clear in her eyes. I reach over, caressing her cheek.
âI wonât be long.â
She nods as I return to the kitchen and take out two grenades from my pocket. I pull the pins out of
them simultaneously and fling them through the kitchen and into the hallway.
As much as Iâd rather there be no trace of the bodies left, thatâs not possible, but at least I can destroy
as much evidence as possible. Right now, my priority is getting the girls somewhere safe. This has
gotten out of control.
The moment I tossed the grenades, I turned, running towards the back gate before they erupt. Iâm
thrown off my feet by the impact, making Valerie cry out. âZade!â
Iâm good, baby girl.â I reassure her as I break my fall and roll over before getting up and rushing through
the back gate as the second one goes off and pulls the gate shut.
âKeep going!â I command as we hurry down the alley, as I hear several explosions, the flames rising
high into the sky.
We move swiftly, sticking to the shadows until we reach the spot where my car is parked. Luckily, the
roads are pretty deserted, and my only concern is if we left any blood in our wake, âGet in, we might
need to ditch this car too.â
This is a messy getaway, the worst and in my fucking eyes, a failure.
âWe need to move the meeting forward. We need to go back home.â Valerie
whispers as she helps Adriana in before I place Ada beside her.
I shut the door and look at her.
