Chapter 437
I Am The Luna
Chapter 0437
âGordon Santino, twentyâsevenâyearâold electrician, his mother is a human, his father was a werewolf.
Never been part of a pack, but his DNA at a hospital appointment gave away what he was. Four weeks
after being chipped, he was missing. The body was found a few weeks later and police suspected âNo
foul play.â Although he was given back to his mother, I managed to ask her if we could conduct our own
autopsy.
I look at the screen of the man who clearly looks like any ordinary person.
âAnd we found wolfsbane and ashbane in his system.â
Silence fills the room as everyone listens.
âHe was stabbed with a blade, although the cops put it down to him meeting a hiking accident and that
he was impaled on a tree down a cliff when they found him. Wrong. I know a knife wound better than
anyone,â Zade continues.
I have to admit I have never heard him speak as much as he is now, but it just shows how serious he is
when it comes to this matter. He means business. âI managed to hack into some CCTV area around
the area where he lived and worked. Luckily for me and not so lucky for him, he had a pretty consistent
routine and here you will find one of the Arkan watching him. For three weeks prior to his death, one of
these two men is around on most days.â
My stomach twists as I realise that if only he was trained and alertâ¦
âAnd then he was watched day and night for the last three days before his death.â
Zade sits back as he scrolls through the images of Gordonâs body, which makes me sick. Although I
have seen many dead bodies in my line of work, these make me sick.
Thereâs CCTV footage, postâmortem results and even police files, which obviously he acquired
illegally, but Iâm glad he did. It only furthers the fact they really did just brush the entire case away.
Everyone in the room is watching, reading, and assessing the report.
Zade switches back to another case, this time a woman. Sheâs got several tattoos and coloured hair.
âThis woman was part of my old team, she was found dead by the had driven Valerieâs car when it
crashed.â He frowns deeply as he scrolls through the report. man who âAnd she was not so lucky⦠she
was drugged, raped and then brutally murdered.â
His eyes flash as he looks across at them. âHer identity was discovered when she was waiting on two
offâduty cops in the cafe she worked at, who reported her and she was forced
+15 BONUS
to be chipped⦠She was murdered seven weeks after being chipped.â Zadeâs eyes flash
before he continues.
âThey go for those who are isolated from their packs.â His anger is clear in his voice as het opens her
medical reports. âAcquired autopsy reports shows she had suffered severe vaginal trauma, and there
was at least two separate DNAS on her. Her body is still with the local authorities and Iâm not sure what
theyâve done with it, but the case was still pending with no viable leads, and they even insinuate she
was possibly working as a sex worker and that was what they were trying to prove and write it off as
consensual.â
I look away, disgusted, my anger shared by many in the room.
âThere are obvious signs of rape and I am no officer!â Zaia says, her eyes burning as she sits there
staring at the screen, her anger rivalling Sebastianâs from earlier.
âA werewolfâs death is nothing to them,â Zade says before he shows a few more files. There were some
cases where the police were âtryingâ to find the culprit, but as he said, most were just brushed under the
carpet.
After showing a few more victimsâ cases, he then moves on to the proof he gathered around me. Some
even Iâm shocked he has. I look over at him, thinking he may have been raised to kill, but he was born
to be a detective! This man is incredible.
Looking around the room, others are asking him questions. The hostility and tension when we entered
is gone. Almost forgotten by the majority. If we didnât have such substantial proof, things might have
been different. But Zade came with the facts and those are before them, and everyone knows this
could happen to one of their own.
âThe one chilling pattern
