M.S.V P.O.V ... There Goes The Blackmail, Talking, And My Heart

I Dare You! / I Got You! {Completed}

M.S.V = Maddy, Savvy, and Vinny

Maddy’s P.O.V

I heard my bedroom door open. “Maddy, wake up. Savvy will be here in ten minutes.” My dad said. I moaned, thinking how my covers were so warm, and my room was like an icebox. Slowly, but surely, I sat up in the bed.

“Maddy! Your butt up, now!” My sister Lisa yelled from the other side of my door. I cringed. I hated when she acted like she was my mom by telling me when and even sometimes how to do things.

“I’m up, damn it!” I yelled. I got out of bed and went over to my mirror.

My hair literally looked like a rat’s nest. I sighed, feeling as though this was going to be a long day.

<><><><><><><><><><><><>

A Few minutes later, I walked out of my room, fully dressed, and ready for school.

“Hey, Maddy, have you seen my soccer ball?” I heard a male say as I walked into the living room. My older brother, Christopher, stood near the sofa. I shook my head.

“No … what are you doing here? Don’t you live in a dorm?” I asked when I noticed the sofa had covers on it. I concluded that he must’ve come over last night and  slept here instead of going back to his dorm.

Christopher was only one of my many family members. Currently, he was in college studying to be a therapist, which half my family was betting that he’d drop out. Let’s just say he doesn’t like to commit and stick to one thing for long, yet I think his passion for being a therapist was really strong and he would finish school …

“What? I can’t visit my family … Or did you snap at me because you’re stressed? You know you can talk to me, no judgment will be given. All you’ll get from talking to me is open ears.” He stated.

“Don’t pull your therapist ways on me.” I said and then rolled my eyes at him.

I made my way to the kitchen. I saw my dad cooking breakfast.

“Good morning Sunshine.” He said in a chipper voice.

“Please, don’t call me Sunshine.” I muttered as I grabbed a piece of toast from off a plate.

“Hey, that was mine!” Bonnie, my 10 year old niece said coming in the kitchen.

“Great, the whole family’s here.” I muttered and took a bite of her toast…well, now it was mine.

“Bailey just dropped Bonnie and Gwen off here because they don’t have school today. “ My dad stated. Bailey, one of my many sisters, loved to drop her kids off here whenever they didn’t have school.

“Lucky.” I mumbled. Bonnie gave me an evil grin, which made me glare at her. “Stay out of my room.” I noted. Bonnie’s smile got wider.

Why did I even give her the idea?!

“Dad, please, I don’t want Bonnie Gwen in my room while I’m at school. Last time Gwen broke my keyboard.”

“Did not!” Gwen yelled as she ran into the kitchen.

“Did too?!” I fired back.

“I did not! You broke it yourself!” Gwen argued. I glared at her. Gwen and her sister were a major pain in my rear.

“I hate to break up this fight, but there’s a guy at the door asking for Maddy.” Christopher stated. I went wide-eyed.

A guy? At the door? Asking for me?

Has hell frozen over?

“A Guy? Who?” My dad asked.

“I think it’s the boy from across the street.” Christopher said.

“Troy?” I questioned with shock.

“… Ummm, yeah, I think so.” Christopher stated.

“Let me go get my shotgun.” I heard my dad say with anger.

“No, dad, don’t! I’ll handle him!” I shouted, you might think he was lying when he said he was going to get his shotgun, but oh no. He was dead serious. My dad hated Troy because he knew that Troy always said mean things to me.

My dad ignored me and went to his room. I dashed out of the kitchen, ran to the door and there Troy stood. I had no time to gawk at how incredibly hot he looked today …

Yes, I thought he was very cute! I mean brown hair with slicked back with dark jeans and a green shirt. The shirt hugged his muscles … and …

Maddy! Snap out of it!

“What do you want?” I asked quickly.

“Allen called and said that Savvy’s running late … I’m supposed to take you to school today.” I was going to argue with Troy, but I heard Christopher talking loudly to my dad. Christopher was telling my dad how he needed to think rationally and not shoot Troy.

I gripped Troy’s arm and dragged him to his car. We got in. I saw my dad exit the house with an angry look on his face.

“If you want to live, drive.” I stated in an eager manner.

Soon, we were driving down the street and silence filled the car.

“So, are you going to answer my question from yesterday?” I asked Troy. He didn’t look or respond to me, just kept his eyes on the road. “I guess that’s a ‘no’.” I sighed and looked out the window.

“Do you remember a couple of months ago when your sister had car trouble? I came over and helped. We aren’t too far from you and Savvy on the porch. I over hear your conversation. You were upset that you were failing all of your classes. You kept talking about how your whole future was ruined because of the grade you got. You didn’t think you could be a doctor like you wanted. Then Savvy caught a glimpse of me listening. She’d known for a couple of years that I wasn’t middle class, that my family was rich. I’d told her not to tell anyone but she told me there would be a day that she’d need me to do something for her. Savvy came to me the next day and begged me to change your grades … So, I changed the grade to keep my secret.” I looked at him.

I want to believe, him, but something’s off … But I didn’t question him. Just nodded and thought about how when I got to school, I was going to talk to Savvy …

“Did Allen tell you why Savvy was running late?” I asked.

“No …” Troy said with a smirk. I knew that Troy knew exactly why Savvy was running late to school.

“Liar.” I mumbled as we drove down a street. I knew we were a block away from school. “Hey! Stop!” I yelled. Troy slammed on his brakes.

“What the-“ I didn’t listen to him, just got out of his car. “Maddy, what are you doing?” He asked, rolling down his window.

“I’m walking the rest of the way to school.” I stated.

“What? Why?” He asked.

“You lied to me; I know that’s not the whole story and you know exactly why Savvy’s running late. Allen and you are buddies. I’m sure he told you ... Plus … honestly, I don’t want to be seen pulling up to the school in your car.” I said. Tory looked at me with a weird expression.

“Why?”

“Why what?” I asked as I started walking. He slowly drove his car beside me.

“Why don’t you want to be seen in a car with me?” Troy asked.

“Well, let me think … You’re a jerk that I think needs to leave me the hell alone!” I shouted. Troy chuckled. “What’s so funny?” I snapped.

“N-nothing.” Troy said. “Come on, get in the car.”

“No, I can walk.” Troy stopped his car.

“If you don’t get in the car, I will not hesitate to send your dad the picture.” Troy said. I stopped walking and sighed. I put on a fake smile before turning to face Troy. Putting one foot in front of the other, I made my way to his car. When I got to the driver’s window, I bent down, getting face to face with Troy.

“Listen here Troy. You are currently in a very sticky situation.” I stated, looking at him straight in the eye. “For one, you need a girlfriend, and for some unknown reason, I volunteered. I guess you can say I like helping the hopeless. But, by all means, I’ll surely be more than happy to go to Flora and Helena, and tell them I’m not your girlfriend. Who knows? I might tell them some lies. Let just say when I get down to talking to them, you won’t be able to walk down the halls without one of them seeping their nails into your skin …. And secondly, you’re rich, buddy boy, and rumor has it, you want to keep the fact that you’re rich a secret.” Troy’s eyes went wide.  “So, here’s how it’s going to work. You’re going to delete that photo of me on your hood. Then, starting lunch time … I’ll blackmail you, you’ll do as I say. Got it, puppet?” I asked him. Troy said nothing; he just sighed and then drove off. I smiled.

I think he heard that loud and clear.

Savvy’s P.O.V

I rolled over in the bed, but I felt arms stop me from falling off the bed. I rolled back, and realized where I was.

“Shit!” I hissed as I saw the sun through the windows. I always got up before the sun, so I could get ready and pick up the others. I looked at Allen’s alarm clock that was by his bed. It was seven o’clock. I cursed silently. School began in thirty minutes! I was supposed to pick the others up about a half hour ago!

I glanced over at Allen, he was still asleep. I used my super ninja moves and got out of his hold. As I began to sit up, I felt a hand grip my arm.

“Where do you think you’re going? We haven’t talked about yesterday.” Allen said, I sighed.

“Fine we can talk about it in the car, on the way to school.” I stated.

<><><><><><><><><><><>

Silence filled the car, I was starting to think we weren’t going to talk, which was fine with me, but then Allen spoke up. “Savvy … I like you, a lot.” Allen said. I sat there, trying to remember to breathe.

“But … When I asked you if you liked me, you were like ‘Yeah, as a sister.’” Allen sighed loudly.

“I was nervous and shocked you asked. I had to think fast.”

“Oh, you thought fast alright, and said what I didn’t want to hear.” I admitted.

“And what did you want to hear?” Allen asked.

“That you liked me, the way I like you.” The words came out of my mouth faster than a speeding train. I couldn’t believe I said that. Allen seems surprised to, by the way he swerved into a parking spot, stopped the car, and was silent.

“You-You like me?” He asked. Avoiding a weird situation I jumped out of the car. “Savvy!” Allen shouted, “Don’t run away, Savvy.” He said. When I heard him say don’t run away, I stopped walking towards the school.

Was I running? I don’t want to run away from things like my mom did …

I went over to Allen and leaned against his car.

“Don’t say I run away from things.” I said with venom in my voice. He knew why I didn’t like that.

“I’m sorry. I’m just tired of you walking away from me.”

“I don’t walk away.” I said.

“Yes you do.”

“No, I don’t.” We started arguing.

“Savvy, you do.” I slapped Allen, he didn’t flinch, just looked at me.

“Allen, I –“ Before I could say anything, he kissed me …

Vinny P.O.V

I looked across the parking lot for Savvy. I saw her, leaning against Allen’s car. They looked like they were in a heated debate. I smiled when Savvy slapped him … but then … They kissed. My heart sank.

To see the girl you liked kissing another guy … It took the breath out of my lungs.

“I’m Isabelle.” I heard a girl say. I looked to my side and saw a black girl. She had raven colored hair, that went to her shoulders. A head band was in her hair, and she wore a white, long-sleeved shirt and black pants. I nodded at her, and then made my way to the front of the school. I didn’t care who that girl was, I was more concentrated on how my heart felt like it was ripped from my chest…

“Vinny?!” A girl’s voice said from behind me. I turned to see Kay running over to me. “What’s up?”  She asked.

“N-nothing.” I lied.

“You saw them, didn’t you?” She asked. I looked at the floor, and gripped my blue backpack strap tighter. I didn’t want to admit that I saw Savvy … or maybe she thought I saw something else …

“What do you mean, I saw it?” I asked Kay, she sighed.

“I’m not stupid, you like Savvy.” I looked into Kay’s blue eyes.

“Yeah, but she loves Allen ... that jerk!” I ended up shouting. Kay giggled.

“I think there is a part of her that likes you too, you just got to show her you care about her.”

“I didn’t think so. Yesterday, I tried hitting on her, and I got in a fight with Allen. You should have seen my mom’s face when she saw me with a black eye. My dad for some reason thought I was beat up because I was an Asian …” I started remembering how my dad was talking about suing the school because of racism. I told him it was not because I was Asian.

“Well, with the help of me I think you'll be able to get her, because once I am done with the two of you .... Savvy will be thinking of you and you only.” Kay said with a smile.
