Kay's P.O.V
Lunch was soon approaching, and with that in mind, my stomach did flip flops. I knew that Iâd have to face Dylan. Oh, how I didn't want to see him!
"So nice to see you again, Kay, on this lovely afternoon."
Speak of the devil.
My eyes snapped up to Dylan, as he stood in front of my desk.
"How are you today?" He asked innocently. I sighed.
"Dylan, please, just leave me alone." He smirked.
"That wasn't what you were saying Saturday." He told me. I felt my face heat up from embarrassment. Oh, shit, he remembered.
"I-I was drunk." I stated. He shook his head.
"Oh, Kay, I don't believe you. Someone that could do half the things you did to me couldn't have been drunk-" I slapped him across his cheek. He quickly shut up.
"You listen here; you better not tell a soul what happened last Saturday! No, one and I mean no one is to know!" I said sternly. Dylan gave me a hard look.
"No need to slap me." He said, with a hint of playfulness in his voice. I sighed and laid my head on the desk.
"You deserve it." I spoke, as my eyes became heavy.
"If you feel you need to slap me some more, I know a perfect place to go. Maybe, we can do a replay of Saturday." Dylan whispered in my ear, which sent a shiver down my spine. My eyes popped wide open, and I found myself staring into Dylan's eyes. Anger was boiling inside of me, yet, looking at him made me feel calmer.
"What would it take for you to forget what happened?" I asked in a pleading manner.
"Nothing." He told me. I wanted to bang my head up against a wall as the memory filled my mind.

Flashback:
I sat in the back seat of Savvy's car, trying to make small talk with Maddy, but she kept ignoring me. I wondered why she seemed so silent now, when just before I got in the car, she was talking to Savvy. But why won't she talk to me? ⦠ I started to wonder what I could have done to make her mad at me. I tried to think of what I did, but nothing came to mind.
Savvy started talking to me about how she wanted to team up with me for some science project, which broke my train of thought.
~~~~
Soon we were at the party, and I felt like we should turn around and head back home, because I didn't feel like getting drunk or dancing. This was basically all they did at these kinds of parties, well that and some stupid games.
"Okay, Savvy and Maddy, let's find the boys, show them we came and then leave." I suggested to Savvy and Maddy. Savvy gave me a skeptical look before turning to Maddy to see what she wanted to do.
"I think we should enjoy the party." Maddy said and then looked around the room at teens that were all over the place and already getting drunk.
"I just don't think it's a good idea." I muttered. As I locked eyes Dylan. He was with a group of guys ... Allen was one of them. But I didn't bother looking to see who else was in the group, just was focused on Dylan. He looked so hot, with his dark brown hair short, yet you could see his curls. Dylan wore a navy blue polo with some dark jeans. I wanted to walk over to him and kiss-
WHOA! Come on Kay, you need to get over Dylan; he's clearly shown that he doesn't want you. Over the past year he has made that pretty clear.
From the corner of my eye, I saw Savvy, take a few steps towards the group of guys, but Maddy stopped her. I became puzzled as to why Maddy stopped Savvy from going over to Allen, until I saw Helena a couple of feet from Allen. Helena snuck up behind Allen and tapped him on the shoulder.  He spun around, and began to say something but she cut him off by getting up on her toes and kissing him. I was shocked at the guts Helena had to kiss Allen, when she knew Savvy had dated him just a couple days ago. Something made me feel like Helena knew Savvy was watching too, which irked me. My mouth nearly dropped to the floor when I saw Allen kissing back. I looked over at Savvy and noted that she was holding back tears. She must heartbroken because Savvy loved that stupid douche bag ⦠that shit-face Allen!
"Who's ready for a drink?" Savvy randomly asked as she looked away from Allen and Helena. All of a sudden Savvy took off toward a hallway.
"I think we should go after her." I stated to Maddy.
"Fuck off." She told me with hatred in her voice. I looked at her with shock. "Wipe that stupid look off your face, you secretive bitch." With that Maddy stocked off in the same direction Savvy had rushed off too.
A deep gut-feeling arose, and I started to feel a tear escape my eye. What had I done for her to speak those words to me?
"Are you okay?" Allen asked me. I sighed and said nothing. "Where is Savvy? I need to find her." Allen told me. I looked at him.
"Stay away from her." I glared at him. With that I walked away and this time I was on the hunt for a drink. Soon, I found the alcohol and chugged down a can of beer. I crushed the can in my hand and tossed it in the trash.
"Hey, Kay." I glanced to my side and saw Vinny. I smiled.
"Hey. What you doing?" I asked.
"Looking for Savvy, do you know where she is?" Vinny asked me with eagerness. I sighed.
"I don't know, I'm on the hunt for her too." Actually, I was lying. Instead of looking for Savvy, I was looking for another drink...but Iâd promised myself that I would go after her, once I have had another beer ⦠but that was before Vinny came over to me and asked about her. Now, I felt guilty for wanting more alcohol more than I wanted to find my best friend. Savvy.  "I just hope Allen hasn't found her, I told him to stay away from her." I muttered more to myself than to Vinny. But Vinny heard me and nodded.
"Iâll look in the bedrooms, you can look outside." Suggested Vinny. I nodded and then we went our separate ways.
It was nice outside, not too hot like it had been for the past few weeks. The breeze rustled my honey-blond hair. I sighed and took the pony-tail from my wrist and pulled up my hair. My eyes scanned the backyard, and I saw that a few yards away there was a bonfire.
Maybe Savvyâs over there. I thought. And maybe there is alcohol over there too â¦
I walked over to the group of kids, to see that they were all playing ... duck, duck, goose? I watched as Payton (some student I took math with) walked around the bonfire.
"Duck, Duck, Duck, Duck ..." Payton stopped at some random girl. "Beer," With that he poured his cup of beer on top of her head. She jumped up with a shriek.
"That was not in the rules!" The girl yelled at Payton as she chased him around the bonfire. I sighed as I noted that Savvy wasn't out here, playing duck, duck ... beer? Speaking of beer, I leaned down by the cooler next to a nerdy-looking boy, and grabbed a beer out of it. I closed the lid and then opened the can. It took me a matter of minutes to wash down the cool liquid and then crush the can, like last time. I tossed it into one of the trash bins put out for people not to litter the yard ⦠although putting the bins out here was in vein because people seemed more fond of just tossing their cans on the lawn when they finished them.
I realized soon enough that I forgot that I was out here looking for Savvy. I glanced over the yard, trying to locate her, once again.
"Looking for someone?" A deep, male, voice said from behind me. I turned and saw Dylan looking at me with a smile. I glared at him, wondering what it was he wanted. Never in the years have I known him has he approached me at a party. I've tried many times to get his attention at social events, but he always ignored me.
"Why are you bothering me?" I asked coldly. He started to give me an analyzing look. It felt like he could see through me, but I sneered at him, even though I was kind of glad he finally did come to me. Yet, I wouldn't tell him, because I was afraid that it'd show that I liked him ... Omg, I'm actually admitting that to myself ... I like Dylan ... for real. Small problem though, he likes someone else. I heard him yell that at Jess just the other day. I wonder who he liked ... Did I know her? Was she pretty? Or was she a pencil pushing nerd kind of girl? Ha-ha, it seems like Dylan would fall for someone that is the opposite of his personality. Serves him right.
"Why are you pushing me away?" He replied. I wanted to sigh in frustration, because I had no idea how to answer that. The honest answer would be that "I'm afraid of getting to close to you, and you not wanting me, because for the past years you have never wanted me". But I dared not to say that to him.
"I-I'm just not interested in you anymore." I lied. He raised an eyebrow.
"Really ... Â So you are sticking with the whole 'I made myself believe I loved you, because the guy I actually liked broke my heart'?" Dylan asked.
"It's the truth ... I never really liked you." I felt so guilty for lying to him. I had to cross my arms across my chest to stop myself from wrapping my hands around his neck, kissing him, and telling him that 'I'm lying to you, Dylan ... please forget the girl you're in love with and be with me.'
"Too bad." Dylan said and then turned to leave.
"Wait! What do you mean too bad?" I asked as I tried to catch up with his long strides. Once I was caught up with him, he stopped and faced me.
"Because if you liked me, Iâd be able to do this." I wondered what he meant, but he made me stop wondering when he gave me a passionate kiss on my lips. Soon, I was hungry for more, but he pulled apart before i could get more. "But you don't like me." He said and with that he walked inside the house. The foolish girl I was, just stood there, letting him walk away. But as soon as I realized I was making a huge mistake, standing there, and not going after him, I took off inside. I eagerly looked over the crowds of people for Dylan. I saw him leaning against a wall, watching people dance, his eyes locked with mine, he smirked. I was making my way to him, when a girl walked in front of him, blocking my view.
Suddenly, Dylan was leading her to the dance area. I watched as she started dancing all around him, but he didn't pay attention to her. His eyes were on me; I smiled and went over to a table in the corner of the room. Scattered around the table was different kinds of liquor. I grabbed a bottle with dark amber colored liquid in it. There was a stack of cups, I took one and made myself a drink. Turning, I saw Dylan was still looking at me. I lift my drink in the air, "Cheers" I mouthed to him before drinking the contents of my cup.
"Want to dance?" I looked to my side and saw a guy with inky black hair. He stared at me, waiting for my answer. I emptied the cup and sat it down at the table.
"Lead the way." I told him as he grabbed my hand and led me to the dance floor. I made sure we were close to Dylan and the girl he was dancing with. I tried to ignore the fact that I could feel Dylanâs eyes on me, as I moved my hips to the beat. Soon, the guy that I was dancing with put his hands on my hip, and swayed with me. I let the music take over as I felt the warm, tingling feeling overflow me, which indicated that I was getting drunk.
A hand grabbed my wrist and pulled me away from the guy I was dancing with. I saw that it was Dylan and hid a smile of satisfaction.
âWhat the hell?! I was dancing with that guy!â I yelled at him, acting pissed. He sighed and looked at the man I was previously dancing with.
âTyler, do you mind if I dance with Kay now?â Dylan asked. Tyler looked at Dylan for a second before nodding and walking away. I stood there among all the teens that had taken over this once living room and turned it into a dance floor. The feeling that Dylan was staring at me made my head snap in his direction.
âBite meâ I stated, wishing he would look the other way. He leaned down until his mouth was at my ear.
âWhere you like me to bite?â He asked in a seductive manner. I immediately blushed, but tried to hide it. He pushed some hair of my hair out of my face, which then showcased my blush. He smirked.
âDylan, please, just stop. Iâm not here for you.â I said, trying to get him to leave me alone. The longer I was with him, the longer I wanted to ⦠Okay I seriously have some hormones that are going crazy right now. Like he had read my mind, Dylanâs smile grew larger.
âCan you just admit it out-loud?â He asked me. I exhaled loudly and looked at him.
âAdmit what?â I asked. He eyed me.
âYou canât control yourself around me. Itâs itching you from the inside out not be able to kiss me. Donât think I didnât know you were about to kiss me back when we were outside.â He stated.
I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms even though I couldnât help my cheeks from flushing even more than they were before. âYou wish.â
âKay...â He still had that stubbornly stern look on his face. I looked away, noticing the many drunken dancers shooting us glares. They wanted this living room to stay a dance floor ... with the non-dancers off of it.
âWhat?â I asked him. When he didnât give me my answer right away, I sighed dramatically and went over to the table with drinks.
âDonât you think you have had enough?â Dylan asked me. I scowled at him, before pouring a drink.
âDonât you think you have bugged me enough?â
âItâs not bugging someone if they enjoy the other personâs presence.â He stated, I started to drink some more, knowing he was right. I enjoyed every moment of his presence, even though I was wishing I truly didnât. A song that I liked started to play (Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO). I stood there awkwardly, watching the drunken teens dance. I wanted to dance with them ⦠after all I loved that song! I took another sip as I knew I wouldnât be able to dance to this song, since I was damn well wasnât going to go out there and dance alone.
âKay, wanna dance?â A guy asked me.  I turned to my side ⦠I canât really place a finger on where I have seen him before ... but he mustâve known me ⦠I mean he knew my name, so he must go to my school or ⦠something. I noted that the guy was tall, and had big, black, rimmed glassed on, but they were totally fake ... His hair was thick, curly, and golden blond. I gave him a wary smile, not sure how to tell him no.
âActually, we were about to dance.â Dylan told him. The guy examined Dylan, before looking at me to see if Dylan was telling the truth.
âSorry.â I mumbled before Dylan grabbed my hand and led me to the floor. The music seemed to be louder on the floor. âI freaking love this song!â I shouted and then started jumping up and down with the crowd.
Soon the song ended and was replaced by Rihanna singing Only Girl. Dylan eyed me as though he was wondering whether I was going to dance with him or not. I smiled.
Why not dance, and make him see what he shall never have? ⦠Was what my drunken mind was thinking.
I wrapped a hand around his neck and pressed my body against his. He looked at me with a stunned expression.
âWhat? Never danced dirty before?â I said in a very seductive voice. He grinned like a Cheshire cat, which made me smile back. My hips started to grind up against his, as the music got louder and faster. Everyone was starting to stare at us. I felt insecure in the way I was dancing, because this was not my usual style. I was more of the person just to jump up and down to the beat, but I tried moving the lithe and sexy way to seduce Dylan. I let my hands tangle in his hair, when I pressed myself harder onto him, the heat radiating off of us made me aware of my body temperature rise. Soon, I felt his hands on my waist. I didnât like the way that his hands had a firm grip on me. It almost was like he had control, which was not what I wanted.
I turned around to where my back was to his chest. I leaned back so that my backside was fully touching his pelvis. My body ground against his, moving to the beat, and trying to be a siren.
I want you to make me feel...
Like Iâm the only girl in the world...
The song pulled me along in my drunken state, and I turned and faced Dylan again, feeling my hips swaying to the beat as I buried my hair in his silken hair again. The words of the song rang in my ears as I maneuvered my face to his neck, and trailed my tongue from the nape of his neck to his ear, I heard him let out a moan. I tried to hold my smirk.
Like Iâm the only one that youâd ever love...
Like the only one that knows your heart ...
âTwo can tease, Dylan, but only one can please.â I smacked his butt before I walked away, knowing I left him speechless.
Only girl in the world...
End Of Flashback
~~~~~
The bell rang and I stood up, wondering if Dylan would mention what happened Saturday, with me and my dancing to the others. I guess us going to lunch will be a tester, to see if Dylan will open his big mouth. All yesterday I had been banging my head against my nightstand wondering what in my stupid drunk mind made me do what I did.
Before I entered the lunch room, Dylan caught up to me.
âAre you sitting with me?â He asked. I narrowed my eyes at him. Something in me wanted to tell him âyes, because I want to see if youâll go tell the whole world what I did Saturdayâ but thatâs what he wanted, I could see the yearning in his eyes.
âI wouldnât sit with you if you were the last damn man on this planet.â I told him. He moved until he was in front of me so I wouldnât be able to walk away. âKay-â
âCan you pretty please move out of my way, Dylan?â I asked him in a sugared candy-coated FAKE voice. He sighed, sensing my fake niceness...
âI think you need to be reminded that youâre still under blackmail. I have a very sexy photo of you on my hood ⦠not to mention that I donât think that youâd want everyone to know what happened last Saturday.â
Oh, Iâve never wanted to strangle someone so much in my life as I did right now! My eyes bored into Dylanâs.
âIf you ever, and I mean ever, tell anyone what happened ⦠Well! ⦠I-Iâll â¦â I had no idea what I would do.
âYouâll what?â He asked me, raising an eyebrow.
âI know where you live.â I threatened.
âWell, Iâm so happy for you! Do you also know where my room is located? If you do, then maybe you know where my bed is ⦠And if thatâs so ⦠I know a perfect punishment you can give me...â He leered.
âWhy do you have to make everything so perverted?!â I shouted at him and then stalked off towards the lunch table. Once Dylan sat down across from me, I started staring daggers at him. I didnât pay any attention to my surroundings because I was heavily glaring at Dylan, while he smirked at me.
"Holy shit! You two had sex!" I half jumped in my chair at the voice beside me. I looked to my side immediately to see Savvy staring at Maddy and Troy. I looked at Maddy to see her blushing.
No, fucking way. I thought as I saw Troy smile and nod, but no one was focused on his reaction. No, we were all staring at the 50 different colors of red Maddyâs face was changing to.
"Oh my gosh, Savvy is right." I said, with a smile. I was so happy for Maddy! She and Troy are going to be a cute as a couple. I can feel that theyâll last, if Maddy will let them. I knew she had mixed feelings for Troy. As for him, I knew all he felt towards her was aggravation, but I think that was just his bodyâs way of understanding the attraction it had to her.
Maddy stopped blushing and looked at me with a vicious look. Â "Butt out of it, you bitch." Maddy spoke to me with hatred clearly in her voice. I felt myself sink in my chair, and my expression drop.
What had I done?
Why did she hate me?
I was hoping that Saturday, she was just PMSing, but now ⦠Why did I have all these questions and all Maddy could do was glare at me instead of telling me what the hell was going on? I mean, weâd been best friends for years!
My eyes focused on the table, and I could feel tears swelling up in my eyes.
"Control your girl," Dylan said to Troy. Troy stood up from his chair.
"You should control your tongue." Troy shouted at Dylan. Dylan stood up, and I could see he was mad.
"You little fuck face." Dylan replied, and they started to push and shove one another. I grabbed Dylan.
âStop, please, donât fight.â I begged. Dylan backed away at my words. He didnât look at me, but the second I said those words, I think he started to realize it was not a good idea to fight Troy. I laid my hand on his shoulder. âCome on, the bell is going to ring soon.â I spoke in his ear. He nodded and grabbed my hand. We walked out of the lunch room, but before we left I saw Maddy ⦠glaring at me as I walked out.
âDamn, he always seems to know how to push my buttons.â Dylan said to me as we were walking down the halls. I stopped walking and so did Dylan, he looked at me. Â âWhat?â He asked.
âThank you for listening to me, and not getting into a fight with him.â I said in a low voice. Dylan wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me closer to him.
âKay, if you told me to jump off a bridge, within reason, I would do it.â He joked. I smiled.
âWhy?â I said, joking back. His expression that was once full of humor, changed.
âBecause Kay ⦠I â¦â His expression was very serious as he struggled with his words. âI...â
