Maddy and Troy's P.O.V ... The Bun In The Oven
I Dare You! / I Got You! {Completed}
Enjoy!!
Maddyâs P.O.V
âWell, the over the counter tests are not always right. Did you know that I took three of these things when I was pregnant with you? They all said negative. Theyâre not all that accurate. The doctor can do a better testing.â My mom said then she patted my knee. I shook my head.
âYou mean to say that ⦠I could still be ⦠be ⦠pregnant?â I asked.

Troyâs P.O.V
It had been two days since Maddy yelled at me. I wanted to tell her I was sorry for not telling her what I knew sooner, but it seems Maddy has skipped the past two days of school. Iâd planned that when I got home today that I would march right over there and explain everything to her.
Part of me actually wanted to skip lunch and head there now. It took me all of two seconds to realize that was a perfect plan, because the sooner I talk to her, the better. I stood up from my table, but stopped when I heard my name being called.
âYo, Troy, guess what.â Dylan said coming over to me.
âWhat?â I asked.
âInx is back, and I saw him in the office registering for school.â Two things crossed my mind, one: the year must be up for Allen to have Savvy, and now Inx is here for her. And second: why the hell was Dylan in the office. âHe says when heâs done, heâll come to lunch.â I nodded thinking that Inx and I had a lot to catch up on. Even though Inx and Allen were not really on good terms growing up, because they liked the same girl, Inx still managed to be a part of our group. He was my best friend, along with the rest of us.
âTell him Iâll catch up with him later.â I said and then began to walk away.
âWhere are you going?â Dylan asked me. I sighed.
âI have some unfinished business I need to take care of.â I admitted and then left the lunch room. I was in my car in a matter of seconds.
When driving to Maddyâs house I was debating on what I would tell her when I saw her. I pulled into my drive way and figured that I would walk over to Maddyâs. I got out of my car and then was about to walk across the street when I saw a car coming down the road. I waited for it to pass me, but it never did. In fact, it stopped right beside me. I tried to look at the driver, but the windows were too tinted to see who it was. Soon the car door opened and the first thing I saw was a pair of high heels.
âTroy, baby, if you wanted a quickie all you had to do was call.â I saw Flora step out of her car.
âDid you follow me?â I asked her.
âWell, technically itâs not following. I already figured you were going to your house and I know the way.â She said as she closed her car door behind her.
âI have things I have to do, can you please leave?â I asked her.
âTroy? What are you doing home?â I looked at my front door and saw my mom standing there with flour covering her from head to toe. I sighed. I bet she was trying to cook again. I furrowed my eyebrows wondering why she was home.
âWhat are you doing home?â I questioned her back.
âItâs your fatherâs birthday. I left work early to bake him a cake.â She said, her eyes traveled to Flora. âFlora? Is that you dear?â My mom asked.
âYes, maâam.â Flora stated innocently, but I swear Flora had a halo held up by horns.
âOh my gosh! When did you come into town?!â My mom quizzed as she quickly walked off the porch and over to us. My mom gave Flora a hug and then started to lead her in the house.
âOver a month ago.â Flora answered her. My mom shrieked.
âIâm so glad you are back! You were always like a daughter to me. Since all I can seem to have are boys. Speaking of boys, Troy! Honey! Come inside with us!â My mom yelled after me from the front door.
âYeah, Troy, come inside, with us.â Egged Flora. With the look my mom was giving me, I knew I didnât have a choice.

âFinally we are alone,â purred Flora as she walked into my room and closed the door behind her. She sent me a look under lowered lashes. A sultry smile stole her mouth. âWant to do something fun?â She murmured, advancing towards me.
âUm, well, I just feel like ... uh, sleeping.â I lied to Flora ⦠and then I mentally slapped myself.
Why would I even mention anything to do with a bed?
Her smile grew wider before she pouted her full lips. âI feel like doing something fun, though, but we can get in bed...â She giggled as she reached me, wrapping her arms around my neck.
âActually, I want to go for a run.â I said, trying to take off her arms from around my neck, but she pushed me back, and I fell on the floor due to me not expecting her to do that to me.
âOuch! Damnit Flora!â I yelled at in anger. Couldnât she get a hint that I didnât want to be with her?
She just laughed and climbed on top of me. I could practically feel her hot breath on my neck as she leaned down with a toothy grin.
âBaby, I am about to rock your world, again.â She admitted to me. I shook my head and tried to push her off of me. âI like it when itâs hard to get, and baby, youâve made it so hard to get this time around. But I am here, come on, itâll be like old times.â She told me. I felt her lean closer and closer down towards my face. Right then and there my door opened. Flora and I both quickly jerked our heads to the door to see who it was.
âI-I-I am sorry for interrupting.â Mumbled Maddy, her eyes started to tear up and then she quickly turned around and ran out my room. I pushed Flora off of me and took off in the direction Maddy went.
âTroy! Baby, come back!â Flora cried out to me. I ignored her as I ran out of the house.
âMaddy! Wait!â I said as I chased after her. I caught up to her before she was able to cross the street to her house. I stood in front of her and yield her to stop. âListen to me, butterfly.â
âWhy do you call me that?! I am not a damn butterfly! Now if you donât move out from my way I will slap you!â She shouted at me. I could see she was pissed off. She had every right to be because of the compromising position that she found me in. But I needed to let her know what she saw was not exactly what it looked like.
âMaddy, I am sorry, but, please, hear me out!â I begged her.
âHear you out?! What are you going to tell me!? She tripped and brought you down with her, and gravity just happened to make her big ass head lean towards yours?!â I chuckled at her explanation, but soon I saw that was a mistake.
âShe attacked me! I swear! She came on to me!â I started to plead for her to understand.
âYou didnât seem to want her off you. If she did come on to you, you didnât seem to mind!â
âListen-â
âNo, you listen here! I am sick and tired of your lies! I was wrong to think you would be a good dad!â I became confused, why was she talking about me being a dad? We took a test and it said negative, so why was she pouring salt on an open wound ⦠Unless...
âWait ... Y-Youâre not â¦?â I was highly confused. She glared at me.
âYou Mister, I want nothing to do with you! Even if youâre going to be a father, I want you to...â Her eyes got big and she turned her back on me. âDamn.â She cursed. âI didnât even want to tell you...â She turned back to face me and then started to call me all kinds of names as she cried her eyes out in front of me.
My whole world seemed to shrink smaller and smaller. âMaddy... youâre pregnant?â I asked in a hushed, surprised tone.
âEven if I am pregnant, you wonât have anything to do with the child.â She said quietly.
âWhat? If you were pregnant Iâd want everything to do with the child!â I told her honestly. She narrowed her teary eyes at me. âMaddy, are you pregnant or not?â I asked her, she said nothing. âAnswer me Damnit!â I grabbed her shoulders and shook her lightly.
âYes, yes! I am pregnant!â I let go of her, and then slowly my eyes drifted to the dull colored concrete below my feet. My mind was running ninety to nothing with thoughts ⦠I am going to be a dad â¦
âHow? I thought the test was negative ...â I asked for an explanation as I looked into her dark green eyes.
âMy mom took me to a doctor. She said that sometimes, the over the counter tests can be wrong. The doctor confirmed it yesterday.â
âYesterday?! Why didnât you tell me?!â I was now upset at the fact that she held this from me for a day.
âBecause! I was mad at you! Why should I tell you about me being pregnant? When you already had a hunch all along and didnât tell me?! I really want to know how in your right mind did you not think to tell me about the fact we didnât use protection?! Or the fact that I might be pregnant! Even if it was just a hunch!â
âWell, I ⦠I mean, you were ⦠and I was ⦠it was hard to bring up ⦠because, well...â My shoulders dropped. âI was being selfish. I wanted us to stay together. I was glad that you accepted me, in a way, and I didnât want to mess up the relationship I had with you by telling you that we didnât use protection or that I think you might be pregnant. You would have flipped and got mad at me.â I stated honestly, looking to the side of me at the neighborâs green grass.
It was silent, and I was too afraid to look at Maddyâs reaction to my words.
And then....
âTroy...â My heart thumped, but I still didnât look at her. âDonât ever...â My chest seemed to restrict itself, and I felt like I couldnât breathe. âCome near me again.â
A lump formed in my throat, and I had to swallow countless times. My heart dropped to my feet, and my body felt weighed down as I slowly looked at Maddy. Her eyes were hard as she looked at me. Her face was still damp with the tears she had cried and she turned around and walked across the street, leaving me with this lifeless feeling taking over me.
Maddy...
