Chapter 3
Untamed
Emily's POV
I rolled my eyes, looking at that drunk jerk and Ivory; they were walking towards the entrance while Ivory was giggling like a little girl. Meanwhile, that bastard was resting his hand on her lower back. More correctly, almost on her butt. I shook my head in disbelief and breathed deeply. What she found in that jerk! Yes, he was so handsome. He had brown hair and dazzling blue eyes. Especially in his black tuxedo, he looked freaking hot.
Get a grip, Emily! What the hell are you talking about?!
Who was he? I hadn't seen him before the nightclub. How did Jenna know him? I hadn't heard about him before. Maybe, he was one of the groom's relatives or friends.
I was trying to listen to my mother's conversation with my aunt while my eyes were searching for...him, the blue-eyed handsome jerk. It had been about forty minutes since they disappeared. What the hell are they doing inside? I frowned, annoyed.
Emily, what the hell with you? Forget that jerk!
No, I don't think about him. I am worried about Ivory. Maybe, that jerk is drunk now too and will try to do something bad to her. Despite the fact, she was a spoiled brat, I wouldn't wish her bad. And he was the worst thing that could happen in a woman's life. Some incorrigible womanizer! Ugh, I hate him!
I was sipping my champagne as Jenna approached me with a bright smile on her face. I gave her a slight smile.
"Hey, cuz. What happened? Are you okay?" She asked, concerned.
"Umm...Yeah." I nodded, forcing a smile.
Suddenly, my eyes laid on that jerk. Finally, he came back, but he was alone. He approached Mila and her husband with his signature smirk on his face.
"Where are you looking at?" Jenna asked and looked at that prick.
Her expression changed instantly. She frowned in annoyance and warned me firmly. "Stay away from him. He is an asshole."
"Yeah, I know." I mumbled.
"Do you know him?" She asked, giving me a questioning look.
"No, but I bumped him. Nothing more...I... I just saw him hitting on a girl." I lied and bit my lower lip nervously. "Umm...How do you know him?" I asked in curiosity.
She took a sip from her champagne and breathed deeply.
"He is my ex and Mila's brother-in-law." She replied.
My eyes widened in shock. If he was her ex, and now he was in her wedding, then they stayed friends after a breakup. But why Jenna's expression was angry when she saw him.
"Did you decide to stay friends after..."
"Hell no!" She cut me off, frustrated.
"But you invited him to your wedding." I commented, confused.
"I didn't invite him. He came without being invited." She rolled her eyes and continued. "He probably came here for Ivory. His new victim. I warned Ivory, but most probably, she didn't listen to me. I saw them leaving the bathroom a few minutes ago." She informed.
I looked at her in shock. So they....Oh my... I clenched my fist angrily. What a jerk! He came to his ex's wedding without being invited. Moreover, he had sex with the bride's friend in her wedding.
"What did you see in this jerk?" I asked, trying to control my anger.
"Cody..." She paused and sighed.
So this jerk's name is Cody. I looked at him angrily.
"Cody is different. He is caring, romantic, funny. He is just charming. He can sweep you off your feet without trying hard." She said, smiling slightly.
I was surprised by her answer. I raised my eyebrow at her. She shrugged her shoulders.
"Do...do you still love him?" I mumbled uncomfortably.
"No, he is the past." She replied honestly and gave me a bright smile after looking at her husband lovingly. I smiled at her.
"But if he was a perfect boyfriend, why did you break up?" I asked, puzzled.
"He has the only one problem which vanishes all of his best qualities, he cannot keep his friend in his pants." She declared, rolling her eyes. "He gets bored easily. Not one of his relationships survived more than a month if he decided to get involved. Mostly he prefers one-night stands." She added, shaking her head.
I looked at him while he was laughing happily. He had a mesmerizing smile. He told Tristan something and laughed again. I shook my head as I breathed deeply and took a sip from my drink.
Cody's POV
I was examining my paperwork before the meeting with my father and our new co-partner in our new hotel project. Suddenly, someone knocked on the door, interrupting me.
"Come in." I said in an authoritative tone as I lifted my head up.
My assistant, Hailey walked in and closed the door behind her after flashing me a seductive smile.
I smirked arrogantly as I roamed her body from head to toe. She looked freaking sexy in her mini dress. She approached me without taking her eyes off me and bit her lower lip seductively.
"I came to remind you about the meeting." She informed me as she leaned against my desk next to me.
I ran my tongue over my lower lip, staring at her slender legs. Then I looked into her eyes, full of desire in my eyes as I trailed my fingertip along her leg slowly and said as I stood up. "We have an hour...Absolutely enough for me." I winked at her as I stood between her legs and placed my hands on her thighs.
She gave me a seductive smirk as she wrapped her arms around my neck and crashed her lips against mine. I wrapped my arms around her waist, leaning her over my desk as I deepened the kiss. She moaned as I squeezed her breast over her shirt. I started unbuttoning her shirt while placing several kisses on her neck, breasts. She wrapped her legs around me tightly and pressed herself against my bulge. I groaned, squeezing her breast. Suddenly, someone knocked on the door.
"Shit!" I cursed under my breath as I pulled back in panic.
Hailey instantly climbed off and buttoned her shirt quickly. After we had adjusted our clothes, I cleared my throat and said firmly. "Come in."
The door opened and Tristan walked in. Hailey greeted Tristan and left quickly. Tristan rolled his eyes, looking at me.
"Dad is going to arrive in a few minutes." Tristan stated firmly as he placed his hand into his pocket.
"Ok, I am ready for the meeting." I confirmed in confidence.
He nodded and sighed. "Be careful. It is an important project for our company."
"Yes, I know. Don't worry." I reassured him.
"Ok, I have a meeting outside. I have to leave. Good luck!" Tristan said firmly.
"Thanks, bro." I gave him a bright smile.
He stopped before opening the door and turned towards me as he stated, giving me a cocky smirk. "Don't forget to wipe the lipstick off your lips."
"Fuck!" I cursed and wiped the lipstick off my lips with my finger as Tristan left my office.
