Chapter 1163 Apart from Eleanor and her circle of friends, Aidyn and Jill were frequent visitors to Lianaâs abode. Despite Jill being with child, it didnât hinder her from making her way over to Lianaâs, whipping up meals, and indulging in chitâchat. She simply avoided any mention of baby matters.
Everyone was aware of Lianaâs inability to bear children, so Jill was cautious to circumnavigate the topic. Yet Liana remained nonchalant. She would often stroke Jillâs belly, engaging in conversation with the unborn child. Liana would always mention that she had a grand surprise in store for the baby upon its birth...
And what was this grand surprise? Liana inscribed in her will. âAll my possessions will belong to Aidynâs child...â
Liana enlisted a lawyer to entrust her assets in her will and once the arrangements were in place, she rang up Eleanor.
Eleanor, on the brink of stepping out with Nina, was startled by Lianaâs call. âLiana, whatâs the matter?â
Casting a glance at her wristwatch, Liana announced, âIâve just accepted a project overseas, need to undertake some volunteer medical work for a month, so I wonât be able to join you todayâ
Eleanor halted in her steps, her brow furrowed in concern, âYouâll be away for a month?â
Liana nodded in affirmation, âYes, you know how it is with volunteer work, it usually takes a while. A month is actually quite brief.â
Eleanor asked, âWhyâd you suddenly take up something like this?â
Liana was actually a hospital director, supposed to be running the show, but she was always on the front lines, taking on all sorts of work, now even heading off for volunteer work.
Liana replied, âDoing something meaningful beats killing time.â
Eleanor didnât know how to respond. She couldnât stop Liana from doing good deeds, so she asked, âSo, someoneâs going with you?â
Again, Liana nodded, âYep, doctors from all sorts of hospitals are going. Weâre all in this together.â
Eleanor felt a bit better, âThen remember to video call me every day, call me every day. If anything happens, tell me right awayâ
Liana smiled, âSure thing.â

After lots of nagging from Eleanor, which Liana promised to follow, she hung up. Liana grabbed her packed suitcase and hit the road to the airport.
The volunteer work was real, Lianaâs name was on the list, but she didnât actually go. It was just a ruse to throw Eleanor off...
Seeing the list, Eleanor was relieved and messaged Liana to stay safe on the road.
On her way to Panama, Liana saw the message, replied with a smile, âWill do, donât worryâ, then turned off her phone, settled into her seat, and gazed out the window...
Liana soon reached Panama, rented a ship, and landed on a small island.
The island had been cordoned off because the owner had supposedly committed suicide....
Liana lifted the tape and ducked under. The place was overgrown with weeds and abandoned, a stark contrast to when Tyler was around.
Standing in the mansion, Liana looked around, feeling indescribable. She walked stiffly, dragging her heavy suitcase, step by step into the villa.
As soon as she opened the door, black footprints were everywhere, left by people coming and going. The once neat and clean living room was now filthy because of these footprints.
Liana put down her suitcase, took out the meat from it one by one, and put them in the fridge. Then she got cleaning supplies from the bathroom and scrubbed the living room until it was spotless.
She cleaned from the first floor all the way up to the third. When she reached the birdcage room, she froze, afraid to take another step. She seemed scared that if she opened the door, sheâd see a sight that would break her.
