chapter 19

I was a person who used to never lie before, I was very innocent who would never disobey anyone thinking what if they will get hurt because of my actions!I spoke truth for my whole life of twenty five years but when I asked for their trust, no one believed me. They never once thought she was the person who never lied before, so how could she do such a thing! If she couldn't lie then shouldn't we hear her and give her a chance to proof herself! My bad time shows me who were close to me and at the end I didn't had anyone by my side. Those things already passed but the wounds are still there in my heart. I don't know if I will ever able to forget those time of my miseries! Atleast I learnt how this world is running and how I should live in this terrible land. It doesn't matter if you have done nine good works, if you have done a bad work then noone will see those nine good works of yours, all will remember that one bad work you did. I will never forget the lessons and the pain I have got. I will not let anyone judge me and I will not let anyone throw mud at me anymore. All they need a man to satisfy their own judgement right! Then I will give them that. "Why did you hide such a big thing from us?" Those people who were bad mouthing me just a while ago now they are saying sympathetic words to me, but I know their cunning intention behind their every word. "Well... Actually he doesn't remember everything clearly and so many years passed, so we need time to adjust those gaps" I said. "Do you have any marriage photo or document to proof this?" Someone said among them. So you are still doubting my words! Then don't worry I also got my story prepared. "Actually, when we ran away from home we were not at the age of marriage and we got married at a temple, so it was not valid. Later with responsibilities we didn't focous on those things and he usually stayed away so ..... We were  young and those things didn't cross our mind" I said with pitiful eyes. "Alright! We understand it." They believed it right! It's not that hard to believe but are they really believing it!Whatever, I can just say he is my husband, I don't think they can investigate it or know anything about it. They talked among themselves and I tried to hear their conversation but I couldn't because of their distance from me. From their expression I understand they are talking something  serious about me.They let me go and others stayed there to discuss things. I wasn't interested knowing what they think or do after that. My name is clear now and I will not take their shits anymore.I went home and Shiv was waiting for me outside of the house."What happened there?" He asked with curiosity as soon as arrived."Where are kids?" I asked as soon as I see him alone standing outside of the door. "Actually kids were tired, so they are sleeping now"he said."That's good, thankyou " I said."No, it's also my responsibility to look after my family. But what happened in that meeting?" He asked this again.Should I tell him or not! His wounds are healing and he is not unstable like before. He also have rights to know all this."Let's go inside and talk". We went in and sat down, I got him a glass of milk because of his health condition and I brought a cup of coffe for myself."I also want to have coffe" He said."No, you can't. You can't take these things until your injuries are healed" I said. "My injuries are almost healed, doctor said I can remove bandages tomorrow" he said."Wow! That's great" I said and thought I should tell him everything. "Actually I want to say something very important to you and it's about you" I said."About me!" He looked confused."Actually I'm a single mother with these two kids and you..... You don't belongs to our family" I said. He looked really shocked. His expression changed and it looked like these words were very hard for him to believe."Are you alright! Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?" I asked with a worried tone. "I'm.... I'm okay.... But who am I?" He asked and he seemed a little bit normal than before. I thought I can say all things to him now."I also don't know who you are..." Then I explained whole story to him. How I got him and how he forgot everything and how some gangsters are looking for him nearby areas.He was very surprised after hearing all that. "So you saved my life!" He said. "No way, doctor saved you. I just picked you up from the street" I said. "These are same thing" he said and smiled. When I saw him smiling my heart stopped for a second, I felt something different and hot air surrounded my ear and nose. What is this with me! But he looks very handsome when he smiles.I was in daze. "Okay, what happened in the meeting?" He asked.I came back to my sense and said "actually, I'm a single mother and recently I opened my inn. As you know people in this small town are not that broad minded, so they asked about our relationship and why are you staying with us"."So! what did you replied?" He asked in a soft tone. His voice was very soothing which will let you feel comfortable around him. At that moment anyone who will see him won't believe that he had lost his memories and was in a state of dying.I started to doubt did he really lost his memory!We didn't talk with eachother before like this , what we talked were normal things in presence of kids or other people . This is the first time talking to him alone like this. I should feel awkward with him but I didn't understand why I was comfortable with him and answered him thoroughly everything."Actually ... I..... I told them that you are my husband" I said which was a quite  awkward thing.He was drinking his milk and it spilled over him when he heard this from me."Are you alright!" I ran and brought a towel, then I started to wipe those milk from his body."I'm alright.... I will do it myself..." He said it many times in an awkward tone."Let me do it, it's my fault that you spilt milk over yourself" I was continuously wiping his body with that towel.Finally he caught my hand and stopped me then said "stop, please stop... Don't move".I was confused thinking what happened then I realised, unintentionally I touched his chest and thigh which was quite awkward for both of us.
