"Mama me and Kk finna start heading over to the big cookout." I said.

"Ok baby start taking some of this food."  She said handing me sum of the food.

"Ok I love you mama." I said.

"I love you, see you there." She said.

"KK C'MON." I yelled for kk to come downstairs.

"COMING." She yelled as I walked out the door and to my car.

"London put these in the back with you." I said opening my cotton candy car door and handing London the food.

"Damn Patience." She said rolling her eyes.

"Lil gurl." I said shutting her door.

Tremani, Rylen, and Dominic rode to go and pick up Royalty. Ion know why these niggas don't jus drive they own cars, cause they all got cars. Ajar went to go and get Keoni. Monie supposed to meet me up there, but he had to go take care of some things.

"Ok let's go." Kk said getting in the car.

I drove off playing "Put a date on it".

I was kinda nervous to go out in public. Where everyone from Indianapolis would be there, but they really wouldn't be paying me no attention. Since they would be celebrating their loved ones.

"We look cute." London said.

She had on sum light washed ripped jeans and her dark blue champion t-shirt wit her all blue forces. Her hair was also in sum knotless braids.

Kk had on a pretty baby pink dress and her clear baby pink sandles. Her hair was in a slick back low bun. Her edges were slayed to.

I had on sum all black shorts with a neon tank top bodysuit and my neon vapormax's. My hair was in a high long wavy ponytail and my edges were curled and laid down.

"Yea we do purrr." Kk said twerking in her seat.

"Girl stop you stink." London said holding her nose.

"Ooo girl imma beat yo ass." Kk said as I laughed.

"Anyways Patience your hair is cute who did it?" London asked.

"Tt Quita." I said putting on lil durk scrubs.

"Mm I'm bouta to get a tattoo. Want one?" Kk asked me.

"Yea." I said. I had one on my wrist. It was for my uncle, but I did need to add more into it.

"Ok well we can go the day after tomorrow." She said putting on sum clear lip gloss.

"Yall need an appointment right?" London said playin wit her long ombre nails.

"No." Me and Kk said.

"We get ours for free since Kj do em." I said.

"Lucky." She said.

30 minutes later

"I ain't never riding with yall again." London said getting out of the car really fast and running off wit her friends as me and kk laughed.

"Her ass was scared." I said.

"I swear." Kk said.

"Help me carry this food." I said opening up my back door.

We hurried and grabbed the food and started walking up to the park where there was a huge ass crowd.

Candles and posters were up for people who had passed away.

"Wassup you two." Dominic said

"Where we put dis food?" Kk asked looking around.

"I got it." He said taking the food from us.

We walked over to Tremani and them.

"Tt." Royalty and Keoni yelled running over to me and I picked them up.

"Hey munchkins." I said kissing their cheeks.

"Patience you supposed to be taking it easy." Tremani said grabbing Royalty and Keoni from me.

"Boy bye." I said giving Mayari a hug.

"Hey boo. How you feeling?" She said.

"Ok but it's been hard cause I can't do what I normally want to do." I said.

"Yea I feel ya." She said.

"So I have a big announcement." She said.

"What?" I asked concerned.

"You'll see later." She said giving me a mystery look.

"Man." I said.

"Girl jus wait. You'll be happy." She said walking away.

Welp I'm hungry and thirsty.

I went to go and make me some food. I felt someone staring at me. So I looked up and saw pretty much everybody at the table staring at me.

"Get the fuck outta her face." I heard someone say.

"Juju." I said surprised.

"Duh." She said laughing and pulled me into a hug.

"Hey baby, how you been?" She asked.

"Good, what about you mama?" I said.

"Just fine." She said.

Juju was Khalil mama. She was there for me when Khalil had passed. When I had my breakdowns.

"I heard you was dating Monie." She said.

"Yea I am." I said.

"Just be safe cause ion want nun to happen to you." She said.

"Yea I know."

"I was so down when word got out that you died. Then when your mama called and said you were going to make it and I fell to my knees thanking God that he didn't take you." Gigi said wiping her tears.

"See all them posters." She said pointing to all the people who had died.

"That was finna be you up there." She said.

"Khalil is gone because he couldn't let go. I don't want the same thing to happen to you." She said.

"Yes ma'am." I looked down at the ground.

"Well I have to get goin. My old ass been here for 2 hours." She said.

"I love you." I said laughing giving her a tight hug.

"I love you to baby." She whispered into my ear.

"Well be safe. Don't forget what I told you." She said.

"I won't." I said as she gave me a kiss on the cheek and walked away.

I turned around and continued to make my plate.

"Make me a plate." Ajar said.

"Boy." I said as I handed him the plate that I made for myself.

"Thanks mama." He said walking away.

I've always had something for Ajar but I tried to push them feelings away.

I made another plate and walked over to where everyone was.

"Can I have sum?" Rylen asked.

"Let her eat in peace Damnnnnnn." Kk said.

"Right." I said eating my food.

"Guess who was here." Tremani said.

"Who"

"Juju."

"Yea I know." I said.

"Mmm well look who else showed they face." Mayari said.

We all looked over to where she was looking and saw Lala.

"Did I miss some?" I asked eating my baked Macaroni.

"Hmm ask yo brotha." She said rolling her eye's.

I remembered what Monie had said about her not being a friend, and how Lala was so touchy wit Tremani. Damn his ass done cheated.

"Are you Kk?" Some random girl said. She had a wig on and her lace was lifting.

"Duh mafucka." Kk rude ass said.

"You slept wit my man Syncere. " The girl said.

"And your man loves my pussy. So what." Kk said shrugging.

"Bitch." She said launching at kk.

Kk and her fell off the chair. The girl had pulled Kk's hair and tried to punch her, but Kk punched her in her shit, knocking out ole girl teeth.

"What the hell." Rylen said as I laughed.

"Get off my friend." Some other hoe said hitting Kk in the head wit a flip flop.

"Bitch." I said running over and body slamming her ass.

"PATIENCE YOU CAN'T BE FIGHTING." Tremani yelled picking me up.

"But I can." Mayari said walking up and punching the friend in the stomach then slapping the shit outta her.

"Damn." Tremani whispered before letting go of me and picking up Mayari. While he was doing that I hurried and got some licks in on the girl.

"GODDAMMIT PATIENCE." Tremani said as the girl punched me in one of my wounds.

"FUCK." I said horse kicking her ass. Sent her ass flying into the park trash can.

"What the fuck did I just tell you." Tremani said picking me up, with Mayari in one arm and me in the other.

Kk had jus hit the girl wit a chair.

"Damn." The people around us said.

The 2 girls then hurried and ran off.

"Aye we did dat." Kk said walking back over. She had nothing on her face, and neither did me or Mayari.

"Purr." Me and Mayari hyped her up.

"Y'all." Tremani said shaking his head, releasing me and Mayari from his hold.
