"How did dude even know where you was?" Monie asked

"I don't know all I know is he pulled up right next to me and then snatched my phone and answered it." I said

"He need to die or sum." Monie said

"He's the least of my worries." I said

"Yo shit starting to turn into dreads." I said touching his hair.

"I know Quita gotta do my shit sometime." He said

"No I like yo hair like this. Get dreads." I said making him shake his head in disagreement.

"Imma need you to hold some more of my product ight?" He said

"I gotcha." I stated.

"I know you do." He smiled.

"What you finna do when you leave from here?" I asked

"Shit go kill some of them niggas." Monie said laying back on my bed.

"O-" I was cut off by Kk running in my room.

"PAY!" She screamed happily while running over to me.

"I missed you." She said squeezing me.

"I missed yo ass too." I said hugging her.

"Wassup Monie." She said to Monie who was facing the wall trying to fall asleep.

"Hey." He mumbled.

"C'mon let's go downstairs he sleepy." I said bending over kissing Monie's forehead.

I shut my room door and walked downstairs with Kk seeing Tremani, Ajar, Rylen, Henzo, Bam, and Dominic.

"Yeen tell me they brought ya over." I mumbled

"Girl bye." Kk said

"Where London at?" Tremani asked

"Ion know." I said shrugging my shoulders.

"How you not know?" He asked

"She prolly in her room Mani." I said walking into the kitchen.

Kk walked over.

"You mad at him or sum?" She asked

"No he just get to overprotective and think he can talk to me anyway he can." I said getting me a water bottle.

"He just trying to be a good brother Pay. Now I agree he is disrespectful to you but you know Tremani demanding and shit." She said

"Yea I guess." I said

"London what the hell you wearing." I heard Rylen say in the living room.

Me and Kk looked at each other before walking into the living room seeing nothing wrong wit London. She was wearing a dress that stopped towards the end of her thighs. It was orange of course and she had on some lip gloss. She must've changed or some cause she wasn't wearing that earlier.

"I was gonna ask Patience if I can go to the mall wit my friends." She pointed at Dreah and Akilah who was on the steps.

"Ain't nun wrong wit her outfit." Kk said

"Youn see nun wrong wit it cuz y'all dress like that." Tremani said

"What you implying Tremani?" I said

"That y'all dress like them hoes on the corner sometimes." Rylen said

Kk then grabbed my ice cold water bottle out of my hand and threw the bottle at Rylen's head.

"Ow women." He said rubbing his head.

"London cmon I'll take y'all." I said

"Y'all ain't supposed to go anywhere." Ajar said

"Them niggas can try if they want to." I said

"Patience yeen never even kill someone." Ajar said.

"And." I laughed

"Whatever." I said

"It don't matter you not going." Tremani said rolling up a blunt.

"Why you think you can contradict everything thing I say?" I said

"Cause I can." He said

"Go get y'all stuff." I said

London and them went upstairs.

"Patience you walk out the door just know imma beat yo ass." Tremani said

"Patience y'all don't even need to be going out there anyway." Bam said

"Patience imma sit this one out. Bam whoopings be hurting like a bitch. They take me out." Kk said. I tried not to laugh but I let out a chuckle.

I than walked upstairs. Monie was still sleep. Ian wanna leave him here.

"Monie." I whispered

"Hmm?" He said

"Imma take these kids to the mall." I said

"Shit. Imma go home and get some sleep." He said waking up and rubbing his eyes.

"Okay." I said

"Come over when y'all done." He said

"I will." I said going into my closet and picking out my clothes. Which was a white tank top romper. I was gonna where my white forces wit it. I had also picked out a cute ripped jean jacket.

I got undressed and dressed. I looked up seeing Monie watching me.

"Boy." I laughed.

"Patience- Oh hey Monie I didn't even know you was here." London said barging into my room. Dreah looked at Monie and looked like she wanted to pass out.

"Wassup." Monie said

"Girl what I tell you bout knocking?" I said

"You ready?" She asked

"Almost." I said as she closed the door back.

"I can't believe I just saw Monie." I heard Dreah squeal.

"Kids." Monie chuckled it himself.

"Hand me that box." I pointed at the wall.

"Ole shoe head." Monie said

"You is to." I said

"Yea but I ain't crazy about em like you is." He said

"True." I said putting my shoes on carefully.

"Girl cmon." Monie said

"Coming." I said

We walked downstairs to see everyone still there.

"Waddup. Ian even know you was here." Rylen said dapping up Monie.

"Yea ain't been here long tho." Monie said

"Shit what is you doing here?" Tremani rude ass said.

"Just came by to see Patience. Ian seen her at all so I just wanted to stop by." He said

"Yeen gotta explain yoself. We together." I said

"Don't start you two." My mama said walking into the living room.

"Already have." I said

"Well stop it." She said walking out of the house and outside. She prolly leaving.

"Patience you ready?" London asked walking downstairs.

"No y'all ain't going. You dressed like a thot and y'all could possibly end up dying. So no she ain't ready." Tremani said

"London we going." I said walking over to the coffee table and snatching my keys off of it.

"No you ain't."

"Yes we is." I said

"Don't make me get up Patience." Tremani said

"Boy bye."

"London go upstairs." He said before London walked up the stairs wit her head down.

"London cmon. We leaving." I said at the door.

Dreah and Akilah was just watching. Prolly confused.

"Patience." Tremani grumbled.

"London take yo ass up them stairs." He said

"London we leaving let's go." I said

"London go upstairs." Rylen said

"Cmon London I'm not playing." I said agitated.

"London go up them damn stairs before I take yo damn phone away and everything out yo room." Tremani said

"You can't do that." I said

"The fuck if I can't. I practically bought everything in dat bitch. I can take everything out yo room to. Don't play wit me yo."

"Shit nigga have it. You can take it all." I said

"Here have the hoes to." I said taking off one of my shoes and throwing it at him and hitting his head.

"There it go." Rylen and Kk said

Tremani hopped off the couch and darted towards me snatching me up by my jacket.

"I done told yo ass multiple times. I ain't finna tell ya again." He said aggressively.

"Or what?" I said testing him. Knowing I'm gonna get my ass beat.

He then let go of me and started to undo his belt. Ah shit.

"Wait Tremani don't beat her wit dat." Rylen said

"Nigga." Tremani said turning around.

"My bad." Rylen said putting his hands up.

"Yo ass gone learn." Tremani said raising the belt into the air.

"TREMANI TREMANI." The bad ass neighborhood lil boy said opening up our door.

"What?" He huffed putting the belt down.

"The Mayback Ridaz is outside." He said. (P.s They is a gang on the south side of Indianapolis that Tremani and them is cool wit. I made this gang up. Idk tho it could be real😂)

Me and Tremani looked at each other before walking outside along wit everyone following behind us.

"Wassup." This one guy named Zel said.

"Wassup Zel." Tremani said

"Shit I jus came by and checked to see if y'all was still selling to that boy Daelynn." He said

"Yea why?" Tremani asked

"Shit dude and one of his homies got hit up yesterday and they product was stolen." Zel said

"Damn." Tremani shook his head

"Zel where they get shot at?" I asked

"Shid on the East side. They was picking up product." He said

I looked over at Kk who looked like she wanted to cry.

"What hospital he at?" I asked

"Community East." He said and I nodded.

"Cmon Makala." I said going into the house and getting my shoe. I then went back outside and walked over to my car.

"I hope he okay." Kk said as I hoy into the car.

"Me too." I said

Just as I was finna pull off Monie snatched my door open.

"Hmm just incase sum happen." He said handing me a gun.

"I love you." I said

"I love you more." He said shutting my door.

"What you is a killer now?" Kk asked

"Maybe." I said

"Hello we here to see Daelynn Reynolds." I said to the lady at the counter.

"May I ask who you are?" She asked

"I'm his sister basically." I said

"Family?" She asked

"No." I said

"I can't let you back there." She said typing on her computer.

"Please." I begged

"I-" She got off by Kk.

"Girl let us go back there." Kk said in a threatening tone.

"I will call security." She said putting her hand on the phone.

"That won't be necessary." I said

"As I thought." She said

"Is he at least alive?" I asked

"I can't give out that information." She said

"Please ma'am." I said

"I'm sorry no." She said

I huffed and put my purse on the table purposely showing my gun.

"Please." I begged and Kk laughed at the look on her face.

"Right away." She said typing on her computer.

"He is in room 118." She said

"Thanks." I smiled snatching my bag.

"Bitch." Kk said as we walked away reading the signs to get there.

"116, 117, 118." I said stopping at the room.

"Ready?" I asked Kk who looked nervous.

"Yea." She said

I opened the door seeing Daelynn, Mar Mar and 44. No Jon Jon or Ray.

There heads all looked towards the door.

"Dae Dae." I whispered walking over to him and hugging him.

"Are you okay what happened?" I asked. He had tear stains on his face.

"Them niggas who y'all beefing with shot me and Jon Jon." He said lowly,

"Where's Jon Jon?" I asked

"H-he ain't make it." Daelynn gulped crying.

"Oh my god. I'm so sorry." I said holding him as he cried in my arms. I cried to. I loved that Jon Jon wit his mean ass. That was bro. They all was.

Kk came over and Joined our hug.

"Ion wanna do this no more." Daelynn sobbed.

"Ain't no love out here. I guess this is God's way of punishing me for all the sins I have committed." He cried

"Why they take em from us?" He asked

"I don't know the answer to that. I wish I did." I cried.

"Are they still letting you see him?" I asked

"I can't see him not like that. They still have him up there tho. Go before it's to late." He said

I looked at Kk who nodded.

"Okay." I said wiping my tears.

"I'll be back." I said walking to the door and giving 44 and Mar Mar hugs.

I then walked out the room and asked the lady where he was and she led me to a glass window and walked into the room pulling the sheet off of Jon Jon's face.

"Oh Jon Jon." I gasped putting my hand over my mouth crying.

"Why God why?" I asked

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." I said touching the glass. I felt this aching pain in my chest. A pain that I haven't felt since my Uncle.

"I can't breathe." I said fanning my face.

I started to get dizzy. It was one of my more severe panic attacks. I have mini ones every now and then.

"Ma'am are you okay?" A lady asked coming up to me.

"I can't breathe." I managed to say.

"Okay ma'am would you like some water?" She asked

I stated at her zoning in and out. I had started to have a flashback.

Omniscient POV

Patience was currently  playing cards wit her uncle. She was mad that she had lost.

"Mayne you cheated." She pouted

"What how?" He asked

"You just did." She shrugged.

"Naw it's cause I'm the king of this shit." Jordan said laughing.

"Whatever cheater." Patience said pouting.

"Aww cmon now Pay pay. Don't be a sore loser now. You always gotta move safe and smart. Don't let no one get the best of ya." He smiled punching her arm lightly.

"How come you never cry?" She asked curiously. She was only 8 and had much on her mind.

"I do. Just when I'm by myself." He said setting up the cards for another round.

"Why?" Patience asked

"Cause it makes me seem or appear weak." Jordan stated.

"Why does everyone have to appear tuff?" She asked causing Jordan to sigh.

"So that way others don't try and get to yo soft spot. They won't play wit ya if you appear tuff and scary." He explained.

"But that makes them want to test you even more." She said

"Yea but they won't know exactly what to do if you don't show them." He said

"True." Patience said putting a finger on her chin.

Jordan laughed. He always thought his niece was special. She always brung out a soft spot in everyone. Even him. She truly had a gift. She had also always been mature for her age and very patient. Her name fit her well.

"You know what?" Jordan said to Patience.

"What?" She said looking at him.

"Your the only person I would ever cry in front of." He said

"Why?" She asked

"Because I know that you would comfort me and if you didn't understand why I was crying. I know you would do your best to try and understand." He smiled looking down at her.

"That was very sweet and honest of you to say." She said looking back up at him.

"Thank you." He said

"Very muck welcome." Patience said shuffling the cards.

"You truly are special Pay." Jordan said laughing at her.

Before she could get a chance to say anything, her uncles friend had came in the house.

"Jordan cmon we got product." He said

"Ight I'll be there." He said.

"Ight."

"Well Patience imma go. Imma come by later and pick you up to stay the night with me." Jordan said standing up off of the couch.

"Okay." Patience said sadly.

"Tuffen up kid you be Ight. We can play cards all night at my house." He said

"Okay you promise." She said holding out her pinky finger.

"I promise." Jordan said wrapping his pinky finger around her small one.

"Okay." She said

"I love you Patience. Come lock this door. Don't answer the door for no one. Go get yo momma instead." He said

"I love you too and okay." She said following behind him as he walked towards the door.

"Where Tremani bad ass at?" He asked

"Ion know. Prolly fighting someone. That's all he do." Patience shrugged.

"I know." Jordan laughed.

"Ight bye Pay Pay. I love you Lil girl." Jordan said opening up the door and walking out to his car.

"I LOVE YOU TOO AND BE SAFE." Patience yelled holding the door.

"ALWAYS." Jordan said

If only I knew he wouldn't always be safe.

"Ma'am are you okay now." She last asked as she came back with water.

"Yea." I said.

"Okay well here." She said handing me a cup of water.

"Thanks." I said and she nodded walking away.

I took one last look at Jon Jon.

"I love you. Save a spot for me." I said walking away and going back to the hospital room.

Daelynn was talking to Makala. Mar Mar was sleep and 44 had his head in his hands.

I walked over sitting next to him.

"You go and see him?" I asked

"Yea. Ain't say nun tho. All I could do was cry nd shit." He said looking at the ground.

"I could not breathe." I said shaking my head.

"You had yo panic attacks." He said

"How you know?" I asked

"C'mon now." He said looking at me like I'm dumb.

"I'm just fucking wit ya." I laughed and he chuckled.

"Mayne I'll never forget the day Jon Jon was so happy when he found out Shayna was pregnant wit Yoni." He said

"I remember. Dude was crying and everything. He was so happy to be a daddy." I said

"She only 2 and don't got her dad no more." He said

"We gonna have to be the ones to tell her about him." I said

"Yea." 44 said nodding his head.

"Imma miss his mean ass." I said

"Shit me too. Wit his mean mugging ass." He said causing us to both laugh.

"Where Ray at?" I asked

"Shit he out at Shayna's just spending time wit Yoni. He wanted to make sure that Shayna was good." He said

"Yea I get it. Shid well I gotta get going." I said standing up.

"Ight appreciate you for coming." 44 said

"That's my bro." I said

"Be safe." He said

"You be safe." I said

"Kk you ready?" I asked

"Yea." She said hugging Dae Dae.

"Ight y'all niggas be safe. I know they prolly ain't gonna discharge you til at least 2 days or sum. So imma be here tomorrow Dae Dae." I said

"Ight y'all be safe to I love y'all." He said

"I love you to." Me and Kk said

"Bye." I said walking out the room and closing the door.

"What y'all talk about?" I asked Kk.

"About Jon Jon. He asked how I was and that was pretty much it." She said

"Is my eyes puffy?" I asked

"Hell yea. Are mines?" She asked

"Yea." I said

"I just wanna cry and punch sum." Kk said

"Me too." I said as tears began to fall.

"I'm so emotional right now." I said crying.

"I know baby me to." Kk said pulling me into hug sobbing with me.

"Imma miss him so much." I said

"I know. Imma miss him being mean to me." She sobbed.

After a few minutes of crying we finally let go of each other still crying we walked out the hospital and to my car. Unlocking the doors we got in and I started the car.

"I feel bad for my baby Yoni. She don't understand that he ain't ever coming back." Kk said

"Bitch stop you making me cry even more." I said bawling my eyes out.

"I can't even see shit my eyes so puffy." I said crying still.
