Chapter Fourteen 🌶🌶
IVY.
The day had started like any other. No work, no plansâjust the quiet hum of a lazy day in the pack house. Micah had disappeared into his room hours ago, doodling designs for his latest game concept. Callum had been busying himself in the garden.
The Alphas, Theo and Elias, had been absent all day, leaving the house eerily quiet.
Iâd spent the morning curled up on the couch, engrossed in the latest installment of a romantic fiction series I couldnât get enough of. But as the hours passed, something began to shift.
It started as a warmth in my coreâfaint, ignorable at first. By mid-afternoon, it had grown into something more, a deep, insistent ache that spread through me in waves. My breath caught, my body heavy and trembling as the familiar, overpowering pull of my heat took hold.
The book slipped from my fingers as I forced myself to my feet, every step toward the stairs an effort. My vision blurred, my legs unsteady, and my scentâsweet and intoxicatingâthickened the air around me. Instinct took over, driving me toward the one place that felt safe: Micahâs nest.
When I reached his room and pushed the door open, he was already standing, his wide eyes locking onto me.
âIvy,â he said softly, concern lacing his voice as he crossed the room in an instant. His arms steadied me as I stumbled, and the familiar comfort of his scent wrapped around me like a lifeline.
âIâMicah,â I choked out, the words barely audible.
âItâs okay,â he murmured, his voice a steady reassurance. âYouâre okay. Come on.â
He guided me into the nest, his movements gentle but firm. The soft layers of blankets and pillows enveloped me as I sank down, my body trembling with the intensity of my heat.
Moments later, the door creaked open again, and Callum stepped inside, He carried a glass of water in one hand, his expression calm but attentive.
âSheâs peaking,â Micah said quietly, brushing damp strands of hair from my face.
Callum nodded, kneeling beside the nest and holding the glass to my lips. âDrink,â he said gently. âYou need to stay hydrated.â
I managed a few sips, the cool water a relief against the fire consuming me. Another wave hit, and my hand shot out, clutching Micahâs arm like a lifeline.
âItâs okay,â he murmured, his free hand running soothingly over my back. âJust breathe, Ivy. Weâve got you.â
The door opened again, and Theo stepped in, his Alpha presence unmistakable. His golden hair was loose over his shoulders, the tattoos on his neck stark against his tanned skin. His dark eyes locked onto me, assessing the situation in an instant.
âSheâs struggling,â Micah said softly, not looking up.
Theo nodded, his strides purposeful as he approached. He crouched beside the nest, opposite Callum, his movements slow and deliberate. âIvy,â he said, his voice low and steady, âdo you want me here?â
I nodded weakly, clutching Micahâs hand tighter. The heat was too much, but their presenceâsteady, reassuringâwas like a lifeline pulling me back from the edge.
Theo settled on the edge of the nest, his scent mixing with Micahâs and creating a soothing cocoon around me. Callumâs hand rested lightly on my shoulder, his grounding energy steady as ever.
Micahâs soft purring filled the room, the sound a balm against the chaos inside me. Callum handed him a damp cloth, which he pressed gently to my forehead, his touch cool and comforting.
For the first time, I didnât feel like I was drowning in the intensity of my heat. The room felt like a sanctuary, their combined presence anchoring me even as my body waged war against itself.
"I... I need you," I whispered, the words tumbling out as I writhed against the blankets, the ache in my core growing unbearable. The need clawed at me, raw and unrelenting, demanding somethingâsomeoneâto soothe it.
Theo let out an unnatural whine, sharp and desperate. "Where is Elias?" he barked, his voice laced with frustration as he turned to the others.
"Iâll get him," Callum said, his voice tight, but there was a hesitation in his movements. His sharp blue eyes flicked to me, lingering for a moment longer than they should have, his composure slipping. He moved toward the door but paused, his hand gripping the frame tightly as though torn between leaving and staying.
It was taking too long. The fire inside me was unbearable now, and every second without relief was agony. My gaze snapped to Micah, his soft, sweet scent wrapping around me like a balm. His face hovered close to mine, his wide eyes filled with concern and something darkerâsomething needier.
I reached for him, my fingers tangling in his soft hair as I pulled him down to me. My lips crashed against his, and he melted into the kiss with a soft, helpless whimper. His hands trembled as they found my waist, his body pliant and yielding against mine.
The taste of him dulled the ache for only a moment, but it wasnât enough. The sound of a low growl broke through the haze, and I pulled back, gasping, to see Theo looming over us. His dark eyes were wild and blown wide with need, his hand fisting Micahs curls.
Theo surged forward, pulling Micah into a kiss that was anything but gentle. It was a clash of desperation and dominance, and for a moment, I was forgotten. A sharp, jealous whine escaped me before I could stop it, the sound cutting through the tension like a blade.
I sense before see Callum step back into the room. His shoulders were tense, his jaw tight, and his blue eyes burned with a need he was clearly trying to suppress. His hands clenched at his sides, trembling slightly, as though he was fighting some internal battle.
"Callum," I whispered, my voice cracking as I reached out to him.
He hesitated for only a second before he was at my side, his hands sliding over my arms, trembling as they settled on my shoulders. His scentâclean and groundingâmingled with the heady sweetness of my heat, and I could see how it affected him. His breathing was uneven, his pupils blown wide, and his touch lingered, needy and unsure.
"Ivy," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. "Iâ"
But before he could finish, the scent of Elias filled the room, rich and grounding. His strong hands gripped my waist as he climbed in to the bed behind me, his nose brushing against my neck as he scented me deeply. His warmth pressed against my back, his presence soothing the storm inside me for a brief moment.
I whipped around, throwing myself into Eliasâs arms, my fingers tangling in his hair as I shamelessly rubbed myself against him. His green eyes, darkened with need, met mine, and for a moment, the fire inside me felt bearable.
But I didnât miss the way Callum lingered close, his breathing shallow and his gaze fixed on me. His hand hovered near my shoulder, hesitant but trembling with the need to touch.
I turned, catching his eyes, and he flushed deeply, the tension in his body evident. "Callum," I said softly, reaching for his hand. He looked at me, his composure finally cracking as he intertwined his fingers with mine, his grip tight and desperate.
Elias gently laid me down on the bed, his hands steady but trembling just enough to betray his own restraint. In that moment, there was nothing elseâno one else. Just him and me, our world reduced to the charged space between us. He slowly peeled my sweater over my head, his dark green eyes drinking me in, lingering on every inch of exposed skin as though he couldnât decide where to look first. My breath came in shallow gasps, each one pulling him closer.
Cool relief spread across my heated skin, and I turned slightly to see Callum beside me, his presence a steady balm in the chaos. He pressed a damp washcloth to my forehead, his jaw tight and his eyes dark with poorly masked need. A low, needy whimper pulled my attention across the bed.
Micah.
He was on his knees beside me, his smooth chest bare, the faint flush across his skin betraying how deeply he was affected. His soft track pants hung low on his hips, but his entire body trembled as Theo knelt behind him. One of Theoâs hands disappeared into the waistband of Micahâs pants, gripping and pumping with a steady rhythm that made Micahâs breath hitch and his head fall back against Theoâs shoulder.
The other hand fisted in Micahâs dark curls, forcing his head forward, his hazy dark eyes focusing on me.
âLook at her,â Theo growled, his voice a low rumble of dominance. âYou feel that, donât you? The way she needs us?â
Micah whimpered, his lips parting slightly as his chest rose and fell in shallow pants. The sight sent a fresh wave of slick pooling between my thighs, my body betraying me with an overwhelming rush of need. My panties were long discarded, the slick catcher discarded alongside them, utterly useless now.
I reached out toward Micah, a desperate whine escaping me as I strained for him. He reached back, his trembling fingers outstretched, his own need mirroring mine.
But then Eliasâs voice cut through the haze. âIvy.â
My head snapped back toward him, his tone soft but commanding, his Alpha presence impossible to ignore. His shirt was gone now, revealing his broad, toned chest, and his green eyes burned with an intensity that made me shiver.
âI need to know what⦠what you want,â he said, his voice rough with restraint. He hovered over me, his hands planted on either side of my head, his body tense with the effort of holding himself back.
I opened my mouth to answer, but the words were lost in a desperate moan as he leaned closer, his breath hot against my skin.
âEyes on me, Omega,â Elias commanded, his voice taking on the unmistakable edge of an Alphaâs dominance.
My gaze snapped to his, as though compelled by an invisible force. His expression softened just slightly as he reached up to brush a stray lock of hair from my damp forehead.
âMay I touch you, Omega?â he asked, his voice lowering to a whisper. There was something sweet and reverent in his tone, but it was underscored by a darknessâa hungerâthat made my body arch toward him of its own accord.
âYes,â I whispered, my voice trembling. âPlease.â
Eliasâs lips curved into a faint, satisfied smile, and the look in his eyes darkened further as he closed the small distance between us, his hand settling lightly on my waist.
