Chapter 34

Dom's POV

"Guess who's coming!" Stef shouts jumping on my back.

"Is it Santa?"

I place my hands under her thighs wrapping her around me.

"Yes and no. Santa doesn't come for another week, this person is coming today."

She rests a soft cheek on my bare shoulder. Raven and blonde hair falling over her face.

"Is it your parents?"

"They are coming for Christmas, but nope not them." She speaks in a cheery tone.

I carry her into the kitchen.

Gently I sit her down on top of the island and turn to face her.

"I'm tired of guessing."

Leaning into her neck i deeply breath in her mouth watering sent.

"I'll give you a hint," She says using her hands to push me back.

"She's about this tall off the ground, she has wavy brown hair and, the most precious chocolate eyes..."

"I don't know anyone that fits that description." I push myself off of the island.

She punches me in the chest.

"Why don't you like Mia?!" She says frowning.

I take a breath.

"It's not that I don't like her it's just..."

"You don't feel like your parents don't love you anymore do you?" She's wide eyed now.

"No, I know they love me. I guess you could say I sort of, maybe, felt a little replaced when I found out."

"Awe Dom," she melts.

"When every brother's little sister comes into the world they feel replaced. Jealous even. It's natural to feel that way, I promise that if you just open up to her you'll love being a big brother."

She finishes with a kiss to my cheek.

"You know everything." I rest my forehead on her's.

"Speaking of knowing everything, Kevin called, he wanted to know if you thought anymore about online classes?"

I sigh.

"Yeah I had your classes faxed over, once your teachers get the work together..." She stops me.

"What about you? What about your college classes?"

"I might enroll in a couple of classes on scc." I rake my fingers through my hair.

I need a cut.

"Oh."

I rest my hand on her thigh making her tense underneath me.

"Anyways, I have a very important meeting in less than a hour with some alpha's from the west end. That being said, I need you to steer clear of all conversation, matter of fact I might just lock you in our room." The last thing I need is ten other alpha's hitting on my mate.

"You can't just lock me in our bedroom, Mia and I are supposed to decorate."

She crosses her arms and pouts with her bottom lip out.

"Don't give me that look Stef, you know what that does to me. Look, I have to take these precautions so no one gets hurt." I explain.

She sticks her tongue out at me. Her little brown eyes widening.

"Ok, ok. You can have the living room but, I don't want you to leave unless it's important. Ok?"

She perks up instantly. She nods.

"Why are you having a meeting with the alphas from the west end?"

"Come help me get dressed and I'll explain."

Stef's POV

"So basically your forming an alliance with them?"

I ask standing on the toilet fixing Dom's tie.

"Exactly. So if everything goes well we will have all but two on our side from the west end." He can't help but grin at this almost accomplishment.

"All done." I announce stepping down from the toilet seat.

"Thanks." He leans down and stamps a warm lingering kiss on my cheek.

I take a step back to scan him.

Black dress pants held to his hips with a black belt, a white dress shirt clung to his toned muscles, and black dress shoes. The only thing missing is the jacket.

"Besides my birthday party, I've never seen you dressed up like this."

He looks really, really good. Sexy to be honest.

I bite my thumb nail.

"Do I look ok?" He says shifting his balance.

I bite harder on my nail.

"Ok is and understatement." He looks like a freaking model!

{Michelle} He looks like a God.

Exactly! I agree with Michelle.

"Your face is red." He points out.

Naturally I stare at the ground.

"I could watch you blush all day." He cups my face in his hand so I'm looking up at his blue eyes.

"You better get down there, they'll be here any minute now."

"Right. Remember, just the living room." He reminds me as we exit the bathroom.

He shrugs on the black jacket. Then buttons a few buttons, completing the look.

"I got it."

"Wish me luck." He plants one last kiss on my lips before leaving the room.

Dom's POV

"If there's nothing else gentleman..." We all stand and leave my office.

As I'm shaking hands with alpha Benett of the west end when Max jogs up.

"Sorry but Stef isn't feeling well right now and I don't know what to give her.."

Not feeling well?

"Where's Mia?" I ask him excusing myself from any further conversation with Benett.

"She's fine, we're watching frozen upstairs."

"Handle this for a moment." I motion to the group of men, now talking amongst themselves.

I nods before I take up the stairs.

When I open our bed room door The first thing I see is my mate is curled up in our bed with a pillow covering her face.

Walking slowly towards her, I pull my jacket off and lay it at the end of the bed.

I sit beside her, stroking her arm.

"Hey." She mumbles through the pillow.

"Hey," I pull the pillow back so I could see her beautiful face.

"What's wrong pup?" I use the softest tone possible.

I push a loose strand of hair behind her little red ear.

"Nothing's wrong." She shakes her head.

Her chocolate eyes are glossy and piercing.

"Something's wrong, you don't feel good. Is it that time of the month?"

Instantly she goes crimson.

I smirk at her innocence.

"There's no reason to be embarrassed. Not around me baby girl."

I draw circles into her hot cheek before leaving to get some pills from the bathroom. She probably has cramps.

I grab the Advil bottle and take two.

"Do you have water?" I call out to her.

"No."

Back in the room, I hand her the pills and tell her to wait while I get a glass of water.

I close the door behind me and make my way downstairs. Max is talking to John another alpha from the west end.

He sees me and politely excuses himself.

"Do you think you can handle all this? I have to go pick danny up from her parents'. I won't be long." I can tell he wants to help me, but he has his own tasks to attend too.

"Yeah I've got this, you go. I'll see you in a bit."

He disappears.

I explain to the alpha's that my mate needs me and they all leave with no question.

I grab a glass of water then head back up the stairs. As I walk down the hallway I hear singing, coming from one of the rooms. I listen closely. Taking a few steps back I push the door open on the right side of the hall open a little.

Shit.

Mia is sitting indian style on the floor, eyes glued to the flatscreen mounted on the wall in front of her.

I look at the tv. A little snowman is singing and dancing around about summer.

"Where's Stefanie?" She's looking at me now.

"Um. She's laying down. She's not feeling well right now."

"Where's max?" Her voice is small like a child. She is a child.

"He had to go somewhere."

"Will you watch frozen with me?" She smiles warmly.

Oh man.

Stef is in the next room, possibly in pain and I'm here debating wether or not I should watch this movie with my kid sister.

"Give me a minute."

I turn on my heel heading to our room.

"Yeah, the meeting went well. Max went to get danny from her parents', and now Mia wants me to watch that movie about the ice princess."

"She wants you to watch frozen with her!" Stef shrieks when I tell her about Mia.

"I guess. Here."

I shrug and had her the glass of water. She takes the pills.

"What are you still doing her? Go watch frozen with your little sister." She uses her foot to try and push me off of the bed.

I laugh. She wants me and Mia to be the stereotypical perfect brother and sister.

"What about you?" Im sure as hell not leaving her here to be in pain.

"I'll be fine Dom, now go!"

I look her in the eyes for any doubt. She doesn't falter.

"Fine...call me if you need me." I stand and leave the room.

I push Mia's door open once again. This time I step In closing the door behind me.

"What did I miss?"

Time passed. The little snowman didn't melt. Ana didn't die, and Elsa didn't have to hide her secret anymore. A happy ending.

"I can't believe I just watched that." I mutter.

Mia stirs in my arms.

She fell asleep when christoff took Ana to the love experts for help.

I stood to my feet, Mia still in my arms.

I laid her down in the bed and pulled the blanket over her tiny body.

It wasn't long after that I found myself lying next to her, falling into a pit of darkness. I was asleep.
