CH 21
The Man Who Married a Tyrant
He Zheng praised meekly: âThe young master is really wise and brave. He not only has a superb shooting skill, but also has a pair of discerning eyes that can penetrate peopleâs hearts. I really admire him.â
Jiang Fuyang was praised gently . Although he was young, he was not short, almost as tall as He Zheng. Even though he was thin, he looked much more energetic than He Zheng.
âThen you really want to see your majesty, rather than to see General He?â
What is this question? He Zheng drummed in his heart, and his tone became more and more docile: âNaturally, they are both important. I have to trouble General He with this shooting technique.â
Jiang Fuyang sighed and turned around in an old-fashioned way: âLetâs go, this young master will take you there.â
He Zheng followed in his footsteps, but failed to enter the main entrance of the Yangxin hall. Jiang Xian stopped them outside: âYour Majesty is discussing with General He, and no one is allowed to enter.â
Jiang Fuyang was just a puppy dog, and he didnât dare to disobey the big dogâs orders. He immediately said, âThen letâs go to the back and wait.â
He Zheng glared at his back. When he continued to walk forward with his chin lifted up, the soles of his feet were oiled and slipped away. Dealing with a dog emperor had exhausted him, and he didnât want to spend any more time trying to please the dog emperorâs cousin.
He Zheng finally decided to tell General He about it, no matter what He Run would do with Fang Tianzhuo in the future it didnât matter, but at this moment, He Zheng decided to follow his own wishes.
What doesnât happen in the book is completely unknown . Anyway, no one in this world asked him to follow the script.
At the moment, the sun is quite big. While waiting for He Run to come out, He Zheng changed several shady places in a row, and he had to avoid Jiang Fuyangâs returning figure.
He felt that he was getting dehydrated by the sun, when he finally saw He Run trot down the stairs of Yanxi hall.
âGeneral He!â
He Run stopped and turned around. At first glance, he saw a sunburned face. The man ran towards him breathlessly, his eyes clear. âThe general was in a hurry, but he was ordered to go to counter-insurgency immediately?â
Itâs no secret that he needs to suppress the rebels. Itâs not surprising that He Zheng would know. He Run was only stunned by that overly handsome face before he said, âExactly. Whatâs your opinion?â
âWhat advice can I have?â He Zheng waved his hand and said, âItâs just that youâre gone. Who will teach me how to ride a horse in the future? Can your majesty explain? â
He Run wondered if this He Shanshou was a little naive, and how could your majesty have given an explanation for such a small thing? He said gently, âI believe your majesty has made his own decision, but itâs urgent to counter rebellion, so I have to go first.â
âWait, wait, wait.â He Zheng stopped him again, afraid of delaying his business, and quickly cut to the chase, saying, âIâve seen the generalâs face, and this trip is extremely dangerous. I have come to remind the general that on the way back from counter-insurgency, beware of an old woman from Tsing Yi from the West.â
This is quite a bit of a divine stick. He Run lost his heart and said, âIâll remember, thank you for your kindness.â
He left quickly, and apparently didnât take his words seriously based from his expression and tone. He Zheng looked at his back in a depressed way. âAnyway, I told you, if you donât listen, donât say I have no conscience to remind you if you are injured â¦â
Suddenly a soft voice sounded in my ear: âWhat is He Shanshou muttering â¦â
He Zheng was startled, covered his ears and retreated two steps, reprimanding, â What is He Shanshou mutteringâ¦What are you doing so close to me!â
âOh, I scared you.â Nanmen Liang bowed to him and said, âthe slave will make amends for you.â
He Zheng hated watching him. He swallowed his anger and threw off his arms then turned away, but Nanmen Liang said faintly behind him, âYour Majesty asked He Shanshou to go in and ask questions.â
When he mentioned Fang Tianzhuo, He Zheng suddenly felt his skin tightened. He changed his cold face, and asked tentatively, âHe, what does he want with me?â
Nanmen Liang smiled: âYour Majesty said it was to ask a question, but this servant doesnât know what he would ask specifically. He Shanshou, please.â
He Zheng walked inside, entered the door, and first looked for his head behind the screen. Fang Tianzhuo was sitting behind the table case looking at the folds, with a touch of refreshing incense burning in the air.
He Zheng shrank back, tidied up his clothes, recalled that he should have no place to annoy him, and then went in, âYour Majesty, you wanted to see me?â
âWhat were you doing sneaking around outside the door just now?â
He Zheng replied, âI watched the astronomical phenomena last night, and it was said that General Heâs visit to counter the rebellion was very dangerous. Originally, I didnât care, but after careful consideration, General He is the pillar of the country and your majestyâs right-hand man. For your majestyâs sake, I have to come forward and say something. If we can avoid it, thatâs the best outcomeâ
Nanmen Liang looked at him quietly.
What a good mouth! Itâs also rare in the world.
Fang Tianzhuo raised his eyebrows: âDo you still know about astronomical phenomena?â
He Zheng replied, âI know a little about it, but I donât know if itâs accurate.â
Fang Tianzhuo knew clearly and waved. He Zheng obediently went over to sit on his lap, and was hugged by him and he rubbed his sunburned face: âFor me, Zheng Er really worked hard.â
He Zheng took his big hand, and his mind turned sharply: âThen, your majesty, what can I get?â
Fang Tianzhuo smiled and said, âWhat do you want?â
He Zheng looked forward to it: âCan I enjoy the right to participate in the spring hunting next week? â
Fang Tianzhuo kept touching his face and said, âYou havenât learned how to ride and shoot. What can you do up there?â
âRun more, learn more, so my exquisite riding skills are not practiced on the racetrack all day .â
He Zheng rubbed his face against him intimately, saying, âI also need more complicated terrain to exercise myself.â
The smooth face touched the rough palm once and for all, and Fang Tianzhuo said in a warm voice, âThen follow along. On that day, you will enter with Fuyang.â
It doesnât matter what the rules are. As long as he can get the right to run around on horseback, he will succeed in the first step.
General He left, and the person who taught He Zheng was replaced by Jiang Xian, who was also meticulous and patient and considerate, so Jiang Fuyang was the only person who made He Zheng unhappy on the racetrack.
He was full of displeasure: âWhat does your majesty think? You are so bad at riding. If you enter the hunting grounds with this young master , you will drag me back.â
He Zheng stopped to have a rest, took the cup and drank. He endured the urge to beat him violently. He said in a polite tone, âWhen you enter the woods, you will run your way, and I will run mine. I will only enter the hunting area with you, regardless of your spoils. How can you be so stingy?â
âYou said this young master was stingy? !â Jiang Fuyang looked annoyed, and He Zheng had no choice but to say, âIâm sorry for what I said.â
Jiang Fuyang frowns, but his temper comes and goes quickly. âAnyway, you must have had a pillow talk with your majesty. Otherwise, how could your majesty agree to such a ridiculous thing? Why are you not on the same team with He Jinhuaâs?â
He Zheng said with a smile, âActually, when I first saw you, I thought you were very kind. Whatâs more, my brother canât compete with you no matter how he rides and shoots. I want to be with you and have a good time.â
Jiang Fuyang paused, his ears slightly reddened again, and he said, âReally?â
He Zheng said earnestly, âEvery sentence is heartfelt, and every word is sincere.â
Jiang Fuyang coughed, stretched out his hand and took the tea to cover up his unnatural expression. He raised eyebrows and saw He Zheng turn over to mount of the horse again, trying to say something or shut his mouth.
He Zheng learned bow every day in addition to learning horses, but equestrianism can be classified as skill, but bows and arrows are very strenuous. It is impossible to improve his arm strength for a while, and he has to use both hands and feet to shoot out. It is already jaw-dropping that two out of ten are on the target.
For several days in a row, He Zheng suffered from backache and arm pain, and his inner thighs were all worn out on horseback. It was useless to take medicine. Seeing that spring hunting would be tomorrow, He Zheng decided to take a day off to recharge his batteries. As a result, Jiang Fuyang came running after breakfast and just after he finished practicing calligraphy.
âWhy didnât Shanshou go to study horses today?â
He became familiar with He Zheng these days, so he pushed the door and cut to the chase.
Holding the brush, He Zheng wrote slowly, weakly saying, âIâm tired. Iâll take a rest today.â
Jiang Fuyang disagreed: âItâs only been a few days since you learned. How can you be so vulnerable? Tomorrow will be spring hunting.â
He Zheng was lying on the table, pressing his face on his arm, staring at the moving pen tip. Tired, he said, âLetâs talk about spring hunting tomorrow.â
Jiang Fuyang felt that based on his attitude, he was not successful, and he was eager to try it. âGet up, this young master will teach you a horse riding stunt today.â
No matter how good a stunt is, he doesnât want to learn it. His inner leg hurts like hell when he walks, and he has to spread his legs when sitting in a chair.
Jiang Fuyang tugged at his sleeve and said , âGet up and tidy up quickly. Now you have a reward. Donât be so disheveled again. Itâs disgraceful.â
He Zheng, who was in mourning, drew back his sleeve and sat up straight: âNo.â
âGo ahead, go ahead.â
âWonât go.â He Zheng grabbed his sleeve again and said, âIâm tired and Iâm not going anywhere.â
Knowing that riding a horse would wear his legs, he went on the racetrack all day. No one told him to pay attention to it. Now it hurts and embarrasses him,and he just wants to cry.
Jiang Fuyang looked at his little expression of wanting to cry, and suddenly he was blessed with happiness. âAre you hurt? I told you, if you stay on the horse all the time, something will happen. Otherwise, practice your bow today and donât touch the horse. â
âI wonât go.â He Zheng became angry from embarrassment and stressed, âTired, Iâm tired!â
âSince Zheng Er is tired, let him have a rest.â Suddenly there was a voice from outside. He didnât notice when Fang Tianzhuo came.
Jiang Fuyang hurriedly saluted, âGreetings your majesty!â
Fang Tianzhuo said, âHow are the preparations for the spring hunting tomorrow?â
Jiang Fuyang was in high spirits: âEverything is ready.I am eager to skip today and go straight to the hunting ground!â
When He Zheng saw him, he immediately stood up from his chair, and Fang Tianzhuo came towards him, hugging him as if he were holding a gadget. While teasing, he said to Jiang Fuyang, âIf you can win the first prize, I will give you another reward.â
Jiang Fuyang said happily, âI will live up to your majestyâs expectations!â
âStand down.â
Jiang Fuyang glanced at He Zheng, hesitated, and said, âYes.â
There were only two people left in the room for a while. Fang Tianzhuo looked down at him, and
asked, âDid you get someone to administer the medicine?â
He Zheng muffled, âYes.â
He was angry with Fang Tianzhuo, and he even suspected that he guessed from the start that he would hurt his legs. Now he regrets it. As early as Fang Tianzhuo said that he sent someone to teach him how to ride a horse systematically, he should have noticed that it was a trap.
His leg is burning now, and running tomorrow will definitely have some impact.
The manâs lips suddenly touched his ear, and his tone was low and intimate: âIf Zheng Er is in pain, will he stay in the palace to rest tomorrow?â
The author has something to say:
Zheng Zheng: I always feel that this sentence also has profound meaning â¦
Fang Tianzhuo: Hmm.
