"Belle, please say something, anything." Theo murmurs quietly, he reaches out to touch me but I pull away.

"I-It's okay." I reply timidly, still in shock. I've been kissed before but not like that, not in such a tender loving way, it felt like Theo was afraid I would break.

"Is that why you haven't said one word in an hour."

"I-. Well, I guess I'm in s-shock."

"I'm so sorry, I know it was out of line."

"I'm not mad." I try but Theo barely notices my words.

"When you asked me if I was ashamed all I wanted to do was make you smile and my wolf got the better of me, I'm sorry Belle."

"S-stop apologising, you haven't done a-anything wrong."

"Bu-."

"Theo it's okay, really."

"Oh gosh I just don't want you to feel like I'm rushing you into anything."

"I d-don't feel like that."

"Good." Theo says firmly, I see him visibly relax at the news.

It feels weird to be talking to Theo the way I am. He's the most feared Alpha in the world and yet here he is apologising to me after kissing me. Who would've thought?

"You're smiling." Theo notes watching me, he looks happy that I'm smiling but I can see the suspicion in his eyes. Since I've been here I haven't done a lot of smiling, so it's understandable to be wary of that.

"I was just t-thinking how funny this whole situation is." I reply absentmindedly.

"What do you mean?" Theo quirks his head.

I turn to Theo a wave of nerves washing over me, "w-well it's just that y-you're the most f-feared Alpha in with world. Yet here you a-are treating m-me like a princess."

Theo just chuckles at my words causing me to blush even more. "I've been wrapped around you're finger since the day I meet you." He says in a husky voice his hand caresses my cheek causing sparks to run through my body. His face moves closer to mine but before either of us could react to our current situation the door to the kitchen is knocked open.

I jump up in shock my eyes darting from Theo to the figure standing in the doorway. I inhale the unfamiliar scent cowering slightly, Theo's eyes land on my scared form and a growl erupts from his throat.

Whoever it is in the doorway isn't afraid of the big bad Alpha in fact he begins to laugh warmly. My body starts relaxing at the sound of laughter, that means no fighting right?

Cautiously I take a step towards the figure only to be stopped dead in my tracks by Theo's growl.

This to; is meet with the same laughter, the figure steps into the light giving me a chance to properly examine him. He has piercing green eyes almost identical to Theo's and a mop of blonde hair that falls over his forehead.

"Good to see you again brother!" The figure says a goofy smile on his face, he strides towards Theo and wraps one arm around him his grin spreading.

Theo on the other hand looks positively infuriated, "Dexter what are you doing here?" His voice is laced with annoyance and sarcasm.

"Looks like you've found another one to keep you company." Dexter says gesturing towards me ignoring Theo's question, "although." Dexter begins looking me up and down, "she's quite different from your usual type isn't she brother?" Dexter's teasing comment is met with a loud growl. "Woo there brother relax you'll have a different girl by tomorrow." His words are met by more growling and Dexter looks from me to Theo in confusion and then his eyes widen in recognition. "This is that weird rogue girl."

Theo still doesn't reply and instead stands growling at his 'brother.'

Dexter who has appeared to of given up getting Theo to talk, turns to me, "what's your deal? Power hungry? Slut? Gold digger?" His playful green eyes are serious and I can tell he's eyeing me up weighing up the possibility of me telling the truth.

Theo's eyes go wide and he looks like he's about to interfere but I shoot him a glare, I can handle myself. "Independent?" Dexter says watching me closely.

I sigh, "if you must know I'm none."

Dexter laughs a cold humourless laugh, "you may have fooled my dear brother but you haven't fooled me, what's your angle little girl? Don't make me hurt you."

It's my turn to laugh coldly, "there is no angle. My name is Isabelle and I ran away from my pack."

"Hmmmm." Dexter says, he doesn't buy it. "That must be why I can't smell your wolf."

My body stiffens, this guy is good, really good. "So there is more to it." Dexter says looking at me pointedly, I sigh irritated.

"You can't smell my wolf because I don't have one." I deadpan causing Theo to stare at me wide eyed.

"That's impossible! James saw you in your wolf form." His loud voice catches both of our attention.

I shake my head, "I can shift, but only very rarely."

Both boys look even more confused than ever. I take a breathe debating, if I tell them the truth will they believe me? More importantly can Dexter be trusted?

"I don't care who or what you are but you need to leave this pack and never come back." Dexter growls at me and I flinch back fear evident in my eyes. "Don't play that card, one minute you're stuttering and the next you're standing up straight defending yourself. Only one of those people is you Isabelle."

I stare from Dexter to Theo, he's been watching me. "I'm not saying I'm perfect but I am Theo's mate."

"It is much easier than you would think to fool someone into thinking their your mate." Dexter says rolling his eyes at my silly excuse.

"I'm just as surprised as you but I can guarantee you that Theo is indeed my mate."

"You have one chance." Dexter says obviously sick of what he assumes to be my lies.

In my head I make a split second decision, "IranawayfrommypackbecauseIwasgiongtobematedtotheirAlphaandranontoyourpackterritorybecauseitwasmyonlyescapeIdidn'texpecttofindmymate." I rattle out as fast as I can gasping for breath by the end of it.

"Why were those rogue's after you?" Dexter challenges, that is a very good question one I wish I had the answer for.

I shake my head helplessly because I honestly don't know.

"Dexter stop." This time it's Theo's voice he's glaring at his brother.

"Why should I she's obviously an imposter."

"She is my mate Dexter, she is the true Luna." Theo says but he's looking at me, his eyes are glued to me glistening with emotions I never knew existed.

Theo strides over to me wrapping his arms around me, "I didn't know you have a brother." I say softly.

Theo shrugs in response, "you can see why I don't tell people."

"I'm right here folks." We both look up, "and don't think I've forgotten about you." He points at me a scary look in his eyes.

Theo just rolls his eyes, "don't worry to much about him he's just looking out for me it's nothing personal."

"Nothing personal?" I repeat.

"Okay well it is 100% personal but you know what I mean." Theo says nervously and it makes me smile, he's so cute when he's nervous.

"Well now that all the introductions are over I'm hungry." Theo and I both turn to see Dexter standing behind the kitchen bench, before I have a chance to react Theo's already wrestling his brother away from the microwave.

"We get it you're hungry but theres no way I'm letting you anywhere near the kitchen."

"Well if you won't let me cook, and you can't cook then how are we going to get food?"

Both boys turn to look at me and I sigh knowingly, "what do you want?"

"Sandwich." The both reply simultaneously.

"Sure thing." I move around to the back of the kitchen looking around for ingredients.

"So Isabelle now that we've established you have a split personality anything else shocking we need to know?" I look up to see Dexter staring at me intently.

"I don't have a s-split personality!" I cry waving my hands about and getting bread crumbs everywhere. "I-I'll pick them up." I say in an almost whisper.

"Ah ha!" Dexter cries the way you would imagine detectives do when they solve the murder. "You didn't have a stutter a few minutes ago."

I stand open mouthed because he's right, I didn't. "I only s-stutter when I'm nervous." I reply softly.

"Hmmmm, I'm no trying to seem suspicious here Isabelle." I raise my eyebrows at him, in the whole 10 minutes I've known him he's been nothing but suspicious. "It's obvious you have secrets who doesn't? But my little brother here." Dexter says wrapping his arm around Theo's neck and messing his air up. "He's a powerful Alpha and even though you have him behaving like a dog on a leash he is a ruthless Alpha."

"I have no d-doubt." I say everyone's heard the rumours, only ever heard them because the only people who can confirm them are either dead or apart of his pack.

"Anyway the point is that there is only one Luna who can run this pack. Only one girl born specifically for this role and well I'm here to make sure Theo makes the right decision."

"O-okay."

"That means no phonies."

"Ummm."

"No lies."

"Y-."

"No b-."

"We get it Dexter you can go now." Theo says shoving his brother out of the kitchen, the blonde turns to leave but my voice stops him.

"What about your sandwich!" I say waving it in the air, within seconds the boy is back snatching the sandwich from my grip and slithering out of the room.

"Well that was refreshing." I say since I've been in Theo's pack everything's been beating around the bush. Skirting questions and avoiding the truth, then Dexter barges in starting an impromptu interrogation. It didn't get any further than Theo's would've but it feels like the only real thing that's happened.

Yes Theo has been the perfect gentlemen and I'm sure he has the ability to be everything I want him to be but that's not how this is supposed to work. I want my mate to be real, not to turn himself into a good person for me but to believe that being with me will make him a good person.

"I'm sorry about my brother he barely ever comes to visit announced."

I laugh to myself, I can't imagine that he would. "Is he an Alpha or..?"

"Dexter is the Alpha of the 'Blue Aura' pack." I gulp unsurprisingly Theo's brother is the Alpha of the fastest pack in the world, not to mention one of the biggest.

"I guess he'll be staying a while then?"

"Only long enough for him to figure you out." Theo states simply avoiding my eyes.

"Figure me out?" I ask slowly, I've been here less than a week and someones already started profiling me.

"He wants to be sure you are who you say you are."

"Why wouldn't I be?"

"When Dexter was trying to find his mate he went through a lot. It's not my story to tell but in short a rogue altered her scent to try and pass as his mate and it almost worked. They almost fully mated but luckily Dexter found his true mate before that could happen."

"Wow." I say handing Theo a sandwich, "that must've been tough."

"It was even though Dexter had found his true mate it took months for him to trust her enough to have a physically relationship they didn't mate for years."

"Is that why he's so worried about you?"

"It really isn't anything personal."

"Don't you think this is moving a little to fast?" I ask slowly it feels like I'm inside a badly written story where the action starts to happen before the characters even have a back story.

"All werewolf relationships do Belle." Theo responds his face full of sandwich.

"They don't have to." I try desperately, looking up at Theo with wide eyes.

He looks right back down at me a sad love filling his pupils, "since you make such a great sandwich..."

"Theo," I say seriously.

His smile drops, "I'll wait forever for you my angel."
