Chapter 25: So is that a...

A/N Sorry this chapter was to be posted yesterday but with all the changes happening in my life I really did not have time. I'm slacking with my writing so I don't know when the next update will be as of now but I will be working on it ASAP.

Chapter 25: So is that a...

My heart broke at his words. Here I was thinking all would fall into place now and we could finally stay together. We could live as Alpha Mates. But instead he was leaving me. He didn't want me. He didn't care enough to join my pack. Our pack. I felt tears forming in my eyes. I blinked them away not wanting to seem weak in front of him.

"W-why?"

I asked him knowing exactly what the answer would be. I don't want to live with you and I won't join a pack whose Alpha is you. I waited for him to say those words. The words that would cause my world to crumble back to what it once was. Since the moment Jayden came into my life I changed. I found out that I actually did have a mate and that the Goddess had made someone for me. Someone that would love me unconditionally and truly. He helped me overcome my fear of my pack and made me into a stronger person. If he left now I wouldn't be able to get back up.

"I don't want to live in a pack where my wolves have no place." He said and walked towards me. He grabbed my hands and held them between us. "I can't stop being the Shadows' Alpha. They need someone but they don't want to join another pack and end the Shadows name." He looked me in the eyes and asked. "Please I ask you. Don't make choose between my wolves and you."

To say I was shocked would be the understatement of the century!

"I hate you so much." I said keeping my eyes closed and my grip on his fingers tightened.

"Angel. Please I know you're mad but try to understand. I can't just leave them." He begged and leaned down to be eye level with me. His eyebrows were pulled together and I could see the worry in his eyes.

He was so DEAD!

I took my free hand and slapped his shoulders repeatedly. And in between slaps and punches to his chest I said, "You idiot! I thought you were going to leave me! Here I was trying to keep a strong front so I don't look stupid but all you had to ask is if you could stay with your wolves?! OH MY GOSH! I'm going to kill you!"

I growled and lunged for him. He turned around and made a break for it. He led me deeper in the trees and the forest had an earthy glow to in with the sunset beginning behind us. I chased him until he stopped in the clearing where the large boulder sat. It was the same place I brought him when he found his wolf. He stood in front of me and I saw his chest rise and fall. His hair had fallen forward slightly and reached his eyebrows. He swept his hair back with his left hand and walked to me. I was frozen in my spot because the smirk on his face held an untold secret and when he was right in front of me he placed his hands on my waist.

"So is that a yes on keeping my wolves?" He said when I rested my forehead against his. I was breathing deep and I had my eyes closed.

"I would never expect you to just abandon your pack. I'm fine as long as you are with me. Two Alphas can coexist in one territory. Especially if those two happen to be mated. So yes stay with your pack but never try to leave me. I will find you." I said and pecked him on his lips. I smiled and let go of him, I was about to turn to go back when he pulled me back against his chest.

"You never cease to amaze me. I love you." he said sweeping a loose strand behind my ear.

I smiled from his touch and said, "I know. But if you ever scare me like that again I will get your wolves on my side because you may be their Alpha but I'm their Luna!"

"I like the sound of that. Let's go back and get you named Alpha-to-be." He winked. He threaded his fingers in mine and his warm hand along with his minty forest scent sent shivers down my spine. I pulled him back to me.

"I think they can wait." I said in a low voice.

He smirked at me and turned to face me. "And why would they have to wait?"

I placed my arms around his neck and brought my lips close to his ear. I took the opportunity to lightly kiss behind his ear and whisper. "Because I really want to spend some time with my mate."

He growled and I felt his hands come up to rest on my lower back. His thumb was drawing circles on my skin under my shirt and my fingers were threaded in his hair. I brought my lips forward along his jaw line occasionally stopping to place a kiss on his skin. I felt a deep groan vibrate in his chest and I smiled knowing he was affected by my touch.

"Well that makes two of us because I haven't been able to spend some time with my kick ass mate either." He said moving his hand behind my neck to tilt my lips towards him. He lightly pressed his lips against mine and whispered, "Lets seize the moment, Angel."

His lips connected with mine and caressed them softly. His soft lips sent my senses skyrocketing and the forest around me disappeared. There was only me and him.

He groaned against my lips and bit down causing a gasp to escape my lips. He took the chance and I felt his tongue slide pass my lips and he began exploring the inside of my mouth. I followed his lead, too lightheaded to put up a fight for dominance. I massaged my tongue against him and I found my hands sliding up under his shirt. My fingers found the spot the three large claw marks were when I first met him and I ran my fingers along the now healed skin.

I pulled away from him breathing hard but he didn't stop. He bent down and grabbing the back of my knees he pulled me up against him and placed me on the boulder. My legs were wrapped tightly around him and his lips were on my neck. I pulled his shirt off exposing his chest. My hands wrapped around him drawing him closer and I felt his lips on my mark.

"So beautiful." Jayden murmured against my skin and I felt my legs go weak. His hands unbuttoned my shirt and he pushed it off my shoulders. He placed kisses all along my neck and collarbone. He came back to my mark and I moved my neck giving him better access. I felt his canines along the sensitive skin and he gently bit down causing a loud moan to escape my lips.

"I love you so much Angel." He said bringing his lips make to mine. I drew him close to me and the skin to skin contact sent me over the moon. I eased my tongue into his mouth and I ran it along his canines. He gave me the lead and I kissed him with all the emotions I felt for him.

I kissed him softly because I loved him.

I bit down on his lip playfully because he made me happy.

I crushed my lips against him because I needed him.

I ran my tongue along his not giving him a chance to lead because he was only mine.

I poured my love for this man into the kiss and every second of it showed how deeply I was bound to him.

"I love you just as much Jayden Cairstay."

We pulled back from each other and just watched one another. I saw his grey green eyes looking at me with love and his soft lips were swollen from the kiss. His hair was all over the place from my hands running through it. His chest was still bare and I saw the circular mark that made him mine. I leaned forward and placing a soft kiss on the mark.

"We should really get back. It's almost dark." I said and hand in hand we made our way to the yard.

Alpha Neal was standing in front of the pack welcoming the families of some of his friends and pack members. He sensed us walk into the yard and gave us a warm smile. Jayden gave him a respectful nod of his head and we made our way into the crowd. Some of the families were already seated and had a plate of food in their hands with children running around. Being a young pup was exhilarating because compared to human children werewolves had more energy and strength hence as they grew older their strength developed as well.

Jayden held my hand tight when we walked by a group of wolves who attended Northern. I saw Noah and the three girls who just happened to be joined at the hips. I only ever saw the main girl talking and now she had her hand placed on Noah's chest as she whispered in his ear. I wasn't close enough to make out exactly what she was saying but from the look on Noah's face, it wasn't interesting.

His eyes met mine and they grew wide before he pushed her away and looked at me. I was close enough to hear her squeaky protests before she too met my gaze. I watched her fidget and straighten her hair. Her sidekicks also stood up straight and unlike before they had their heads turned down slightly. I felt the Alpha blood running through my veins and I relished at the fear that caused their breathing to still and hearts to race.

"La─ sorry Alp─ no...um...hi?" Noah stuttered as he tripped over his own words.

"Noah." I said and giving him a tight nod I looked at the blond girl standing beside him.

Her eyes flickered up at me but she didn't keep eye contact when she saw me looking at her.

"Um. Look we are s-sorry for what we d-did so please forgive us and put it behind you." She said but her voice still possessed the condescending and superior tone that annoyed me. Hearing her voice angered me and all I wanted was to embarrass her as she did me.

"As I told my brothers before, I am not a vindictive and vengeful Alpha." I kept my eyes on her and I felt Jayden's hand tighten around mine.

Angel. I know what you're thinking. Though it would be amazing to look at, she's not worth it.

I smirked hearing Jayden's voice in my head and I felt the humour behind his thoughts. Staying true to my plan I walked past her without another word and I felt her irritation climb.

"Look I'm sorry! The least you could do is forgiv─" She made the mistake of placing her hand on my shoulder to get my attention and using my new found stealth I had her bird like bones of her hand bent behind her when I said, "The least you could do is stay far, far away from me and out of my sight. And the next time you try anything to anyone in this pack, you'll have to deal with me. Take it as a friendly warning."

Yep, that was amazing to look at.

I smiled at Jayden's words and I walked up to Alpha Neal. I stood beside him as we both looked towards the pack. He cleared his throat and the attention of my pack members averted to me. They silenced and once Alpha Neal had everyone's attention he began.

"Welcome White Thorn Pack."
