Chapter 19 - I'll see you there

Lauren's Pov:

| February 22th | Friday |

It's now the next day and Jade and I decided to grill. We invited Amy and Sean and Sean started to grill while we got some chairs out and a smaller table.

The only problem is that Mom, Karen and Nicole are sitting outside on chairs while talking.

"How long does it take to eat?" Jade asked.

"Um..about five minutes." Sean replied and she nodded. She then sat down next to me on a chair and I laid my head on her shoulder.

"Your moms friends are constantly watching us, you know?" Jade said and I sighed.

"I know." I mumbled and she grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers.

"Oh no..what are you thinking about?" She asked when I lifted my head and smirked at her.

I got out of my chair and straddled Jades lap. She grinned at me while placing her hands on my hips and I gently cupped her cheeks.

"You're crazy." she said with a laugh and I chuckled.

"About you." I mumbled before kissing her.

She dragged her hands up and down my spine and I slowly let down my hands to her chest and rest them there.

I then was suddenly pulled away from Jade by someone. I turned around and saw Karen.

"What the hell?" I asked angrily and got out off her grib.

"It's disgusting what you're doing." Karen said while I walked back to Jade and I scoffed.

"Well I don't think it's disgusting and I can and will kiss my girlfriend whenever I want." I responded while crossing my arms.

"Lauren you were so good,what happened? You're way too beautiful to be gay." Karen said and I laughed.

"So you say that everyone who's gay is ugly?" I asked and she nodded.

"Unbelievable." I hear Jade mumble and I placed my hand on her upper arm.

"Just for information, being gay isn't a choice." I started and Karen rolled her eyes.

"But I would choose being gay anytime, just to know that I'll have a chance with Jade." I continued while looking at Jade and she smiled at me widly.

"And if you think that every gay person is ugly then you're first an idot and definitely blind. Because she's the most beautiful human being in the world." I told Karen and Jade kissed my cheek before laying her head against my shoulder.

"You'll go to hell." Karen said before walking back to mom and Nicole.

"I'll see you there!" I yelled after her and Jade laughed.

She then cupped my cheeks and squeezed them softly. "You're so cute." she told me which made me smile widly.

"You're way cuter." I whispered while wrapping my arms around her waist and pulled her closer.

She leaned in and kissed me softly.I couldn't help but smile into the kiss and Jade pulled away after a few seconds.

"Food is ready!" Sean announced and Jade cheered which made me chuckle.

We then all sat down at the table and started eating.

Susans (Laurens mom) Pov:

"Why did you do that?" Nicole asked Karen when she came back to us.

"It was disgusting to watch. I had to stop them." she replied and I looked down.

"Susan, what do you say about that?" Nicole asked and I looked back up to them.

"I..I mean I don't like it, but..it looks like Jade makes her really happy.." I replied and she smiled at me.

"Seriously?" Karen asked shocked.

"I never wanted Lauren to be in a relationship but not because I thought no one will want her. Because I don't want her to get hurt. My past boyfriends hurted me and I just didn't want her to experience the same." I started and Nicole nodded.

"But Jade seems to be a really nice woman and I don't think she'll hurt Lauren." I continued.

"I'm the one who's hurting her right now." I added while looking down.

"You did the right choice and she has to deal with it." Karen said and I shook my head.

"No, I didn't. The right choice would be supporting and loving her unconditionally. She seems to really like this girl, maybe even lover her and I can't change anything about that." I replied with a small smile.

"You should tell her that you're okay with it now and apologise." Nicole said and I nodded.

"I will."
