Chapter 2 - You wish

Laurens Pov:

After like an hour we finished and we're now sitting on her couch,getting to know each other.

"So..how is it to be one of the most popular girls in school?"she asked and I laughed.

"It's cool.But sometimes it's also exhausting."I replied and she put her elbow against the back of the couch and put her head in her hand.

"How so?"she asked and I laid my head back.

"Everyone expects from you to be so perfect.And if you make one thing wrong..it could destroy everything."I told her with a sigh.

"Well..I don't understand much of this because I was like a loser in high school but you shouldn't have to pretend to be someone you're not."Jade said and put a strand of my hair behind my ear.

"You being a loser?I can't imagine that.You're so beautiful,everyone would have admired you or have a crush on you."I replied and she blushed a bit.

"Is that an indirect way of telling me that you have a crush on me?"she asked and I blushed.

"You wish."I scoffed and she chuckled.

"But..I'm just too afraid how people will react or treat me when I show them my true self."I told her and looked down.

"There are always people who don't like or accept you.But you don't need them.And they don't deserve you."Jade said and I smiled.

"And..I'm here for you.If you want to talk."she added while placing her hand on top of mine.

Why do I feel butterflies in my stomach when she did that?

"Thank you."I murmured and she smiled at me.

There are the butterflies again..

Oh no no no..I can't have a crush on her.

She's going to be Seans girlfriend.Not mine.

But maybe she doesn't like boys?Maybe she likes girls?

"So..um..and what are your hobbies?"I then asked her with a small smirk.

"I also love writing.And well..I dance since I was nine."she said and I smile.

"I wish I could dance."I mumbled and she then suddenly stood up.

"I'll teach you."she said and I shook my head.

"No no no.I don't think this a good idea."I said nervously and she pouted.

"Don't look at me like that."I told her but she continued pouting.

I sighed and then got up too.She then grabbed my hands and placed them on her hips,which made me blush.

She laid her arms over my shoulders and started swinging with me."You're a senior,right?"she asked and I nodded with a giggle.

"Well..then you need to can dance on your senior prom."she said and I chuckled.

I'm a bit taller than her so I'm looking down at her with a smile."Is that an indirect way of asking me if you can be my date to the dance?"I asked her and she shrugged with a laugh.

"For someone who says that they can't dance,you're pretty good."She said and I smiled down at her.

We we're about to continue dancing but the door bell ringed.Jade then pulled away and walked to the door and opened her.

"Hey..um..I just want to tell Lauren that dinner's ready."I hear mom say and I quickly grabbed my phone and then walked to them.

"Hey mom."I greeted her and she smiled.

"Are you coming?"she asked and I nodded.

Mom then walked back home and I turned to Jade.

"Um..c..can I get your number?"I asked her shyly and she smirked.

"Sure.Hand me your phone."she answered and I gave her my phone.

She typed her number in and then gave me my phone back.

I then quickly texted her,so she has my number too.

"Um..see you soon?"I said and she smiled.

"Yeah."She replied and I smiled too.

"Bye."I said and then walked home.
