Chapter 28 - You got to be kidding me

Jades Pov:

"You got to be kidding me." I mumbled as Karen, Nicole and two other woman walked in.

I looked at Lauren, who's already looking at me. "I thought we have at least a few more minutes until they come.." she said with a sigh and sat down next to me.

"Who are those other woman?" I asked and Lauren shrugged.

"I don't know. I've never seen them before."

The four woman walked towards Susan and Karen glared at us.

"Hey, Sean!" Lauren whispered yelled and he walked towards us.

"What's up?"

"Who are those other two woman?" She asked quietly.

"Oh, they are moms new friends. They know each other from work." He answered.

"Okay.."

The two woman the walked towards. "Hello." One of the woman said and we all looked at them.

"Um..Hi." Lauren replied with a small smile.

"I'm Rita." She said and shook hands with Lauren.

"And this is my wife Iris." Rita continued.

"Nice to meet you." Iris said.

"Nice to meet you too." Lauren replied with a smile.

"You must be Jade." Rita said while looking at me and I nodded.

"That's right, it's nice to meet you two." I responded and they smiled.

"So..how long have you two been married?" I asked and Lauren placed her hand on my thigh.

"Babe, I think that's a bit personal."

"Oh no, don't worry. We've been married for eight years." Iris said and we smiled.

"Oh my god, I just realized something.." I said and everyone looked at me.

"Lauren and I officially became girlfriends on the same day as Sean and Amy got together. Which means if we count that day as the day we got together then we have the same anniversary as them." I continued and Lauren's eyes widened.

"Yay! We can always go on double dates!" Amy exclaimed and Sean laughed.

"Well for me we got together on the 31st of January soo.." I murmured and Lauren sighed in relief.

"Thank god!"

"You know I love you guys..but I don't think I'll survive double dates with you." Lauren added and we laughed.

"Well..we're going to talk to your mom again, see you later." Rita said before walking away with her wife.

"Well that was..a bit weird." I said and the others chuckled.

"Yeah, kinda." Amy said.

I then laid my head on Lauren's shoulder, wrapped my arm around hers and took her hand. I intertwined our fingers and snuggled more into her.

"Can you please stop that?" Karen asked from across the room and we sighed.

I lifted my head and smirked at Karen. "Stop what? This?" I turned my whole body to Lauren and pressed my lips on hers.

She was at first taken back but then kissed me back. Lauren placed her hands on my back and I gently cupped her cheeks.

I could hear Karen gasp which made me smile into the kiss. I pulled away after a few seconds and we smiled at each other.

"I love you." I whispered and she leaned up and pecked my lips.

"I love you too."

Everyone is getting cake now and Lauren is getting some for us.

"So..I heard you might be getting promoted." I looked up and saw Susan.

"Oh um..yeah." I replied and she sat down next to me.

I then told her how I met the friend of the manager and how the meeting was.

"Oh wow, that's a big opportunity for you." Susan said with a smile and I nodded.

"It is. But I'm really nervous." I replied.

"You'll do just fine, don't worry." She reassured me which made me smile.

"Hi." I looked away from Susan and looked at Lauren.

"Hey." I said with a smile and patted the left spot next to me.

Lauren sat down on the couch next to me and handed me the cake.

"Thanks, baby." I said and kissed her cheek.

"Can I ask you two something?" Susan asked and we looked at her.

"Sure."

"Have you already talked about what'll happen after Lauren finished high school?" She asked and I looked at Lauren.

"Well..if she wants to stay here then we stay here. If she wants to move somewhere else then we move. I'll go with her anywhere." I told Susan and Lauren smiled.

"But you just moved." She mumbled.

"I don't care. I will always follow you."
