Chapter 30 - Dreams come true

Lauren's Pov:

Prom is really amazing so far. I already sung a few songs and it's even better than I thought!

The band still isn't here and I really want to dance with Jade now. I hate that she's just sitting there, looking all sad.

I know that she wants to dance with me too. I can see it in her eyes.

I just finished singing my last song and I quickly walked down the stage to Jade.

"Jade, I'm so sorry. I should have thought of you too. I can see that you're sad that we're not dancing together." I said nervously and she slowly takes my hands.

"Hey..it's okay, baby. This is your dream and you look so happy when you're singing. I'm okay with sitting her and watching you." She replied and I look down.

"Lauren.." she brings her hands up to my cheeks and lifts my head.

"Don't feel guilty or anything. If this stupid band won't arrive I'm just going to get upstage and steal you so we can dance." Jade added and I chuckle softly.

I place my one hand on hers, grab her hand and kiss it softly.

"I love you." I whispered and she smiles.

"I love you too." Jade says and I smile before leaning in.

I gently place my lips on hers and she immediately kisses me back. I slowly wrap my arms around her lower back and pull her more into me.

"Lauren." I hear someone call me which makes me pull away.

I turn to my side to see Mr. Elias. I then pull completely away from Jade but still let my arm around her waist.

"Um..yes?" I asked.

"The band is now here so you don't have to sing anymore." He said and I nod.

"But you can still sing if you want to. The band is okay with that." Mr. Elias added and I look to Jade.

"Do what you want to do, babe." She says while placing her hand on my cheek.

I look down while nodding and then look back to Mr. Elias.

"Um..sorry but I want to stay here." I say and he smiles.

"Don't apologize, Lauren. It's your decision." He responds with a smile and then walks back to the other teachers.

"Babe, why did you do that? You could have sung again." Jade says and I smile.

"I know." I turn completely to her and cup her cheeks.

"But I want to be with you. This is our night and I want to spend it with you as much as I can." I continue and she smiles.

She then leans closer to me and I just stare at her. "Then dance with me." She whispers with a grin and then walks away to the dance floor.

I start smirking and then walk after her. When I was back with her I pull her by her waist towards me. She giggles which makes me smile immediately and she lays her arms over my shoulders.

"When is Mrs. Williams coming?" I ask and she holds onto my neck tightly.

"Well..the flashmob starts soon so she will be here soon too." Jade replies with a sigh.

"Don't worry baby. Everything will be perfect."

Jades Pov:

Mr. Williams is now here and the students are now doing their flashmob.

"Hey."

I turn around to find my Lauren walking towards me.

"How are you feeling, honey?" She asks while taking my hands.

"I-nervous?" I reply and she kisses my hands.

"Baby, I told you earlier. It's going to be perfect." Lauren says and I take a deep breath.

"I have to go now." She adds and I nod.

Lauren gives me a kiss on the cheek and then walks back to the other.

"Jade Flamming?"

I quickly turn around to find Mrs. Williams.

"Oh Hello Mrs. Williams." I say shyly.

"Is the flashmob about to start?" She asks and I nod.

The flashmob then started and I have only eyes for Lauren. I know that she said that she can't dance but she's actually really good. And she looks really cute when she's this concentrated.

"Who is the girl in the front? With the brown hair and the suit?" Mrs. Williams asks which makes me look at her.

"Oh that's Lauren. My-my girlfriend.." I answer and she raises an eyebrow at me.

"You have a girlfriend who's still in high school?" She asks.

"Um..yes?" I answer slowly and she nods.

"And does she dance too?" Mrs. Williams asks but I shook my head.

"No, but she's a amazing singer." I answer.

"Okay. Good to know."

The flashmob is now over and Mrs. Williams is currently taking notes.

Im hella nervous but also relieved that it's over. The students did great and I'm really happy about how it went.

I was brought out of my thoughts when I was tackled into a big hug by my girl. I immediately hug her back and kiss her head which makes her bury her face in my neck.

"You were amazing, baby." I tell her and I can feel her smile on my skin.

"Thank you." She mumbles embarrassed and I chuckle.

"Mrs. Flamming?" I hear Mrs. Williams call me which makes Lauren pull away.

"Y-yes?"

"I wanted to say that the flashmob was amazing." She says which makes me smile widely.

"Thank you very much."

"And..I would really like you to teach kids and maybe teenagers to dance at our studio." Mrs. Williams adds and my eyes widen.

"Really?" I ask shocked and she nods with a smile.

"Thank you so much!" I exclaim and she smiles.

I then turn to Lauren who's smiling at me widely. I immediately pull her into a tight hug and she hugs me back while chuckling.

"You must be Lauren." Mrs. Williams said as we pulled away.

"Um..yes." she replies with a shy smile.

"You're a great dancer, do you know that?" Mrs. Williams says which makes her blush slightly.

"No no. I'm not good." Lauren answers and I kiss her head.

"You're really good, baby." I tell her and she blushes more.

"But I heard from Jade that you like to sing. And that you actually want to become a musician." Mrs. Williams says which makes us raise our eyebrow.

"Um..yes? Why..." Lauren looks at me and then back to her with a frown.

"We actually want to expand our studio which means that we also want to do sing lessons and let people sing there. And..I wanted to ask if you would like to teach kids there singing or if you would like to sing and perform there." Mrs. Williams continues.

Lauren looks at me with wide eyes and then back to Mrs.Williams.

"And I know maybe you don't want to do that but it could be a good start." She adds.

"I-I don't know what to say." Lauren stutters.

She then turns to me and I take her hand. "And you would be okay with me working at eyes same place like you." She asks and I smile.

"Of course." I tell her and she smiles widely.

"So..is this a yes?" Mrs. Williams asks and she looks back to her.

"Yes it is." Lauren answers with a smile.

"Awesome! You can come with Jade after the holidays and I can give you more details if you want." She says and Lauren nods.

"Okay perfect." Mrs. Williams says with a clap.

"I'll leave you alone now. I think you want more privacy." She adds and then walks away.

Lauren then turns to me and smirks. "May I have this dance?" She asks while holding a hand out.

"Of course." I answer with a smile and take her hand.

She leads me to the dance floor and we then start dancing. Lauren wrapped her arms around my waist and I lay my arms over her shoulders.

"This here is perfect." I whisper and she hums in agreement.

"It really is." Lauren whispers back.

"Hey Lauren."

We both look to our side to find a girl looking at us. Probably one of her classmates or something.

"Yeah?" Lauren answers.

"Maybe it's a bit too personal..but..how did you two actually meet?" The girl asked and Lauren looks back to me.

"Well..everything started when she was just my new neighbor."
