Chapter 1

BOUNDLESS | GXG

Sienna jerked open-eyed, her heart racing, as memories of a dazzling, intimate dream lingered in her mind. She sat up in bed, panting, trying to make sense of it. What the hell was that about? she wondered, shaking her head in disbelief.

She sighed heavily and shut her eyes. "Thank Goodness, it was just a dream," she muttered, attempting to dismiss the unsettling thoughts. But as the details returned, her eyes widened in horror—she had been making out with someone. Worse, it was her mortal enemy! A shiver ran down her spine, and she wrapped her arms around herself, trying to shake off the uneasiness within her.

Leaning her back against the headboard, Sienna rubbed her temples, as if trying to scrub the memory off her mind. Yet, the more she tried to forget, the more vivid the sensations became. She could still feel those soft lips trailing down her neck, the warmth of a tongue... Outrageous, Sienna! she scolded herself, eyes flying open as if to escape her own silly thoughts.

She harshly exhaled, about to throw the covers off, determined to get out of bed—until something felt... weird. Her brows furrowed. She glanced down at herself, confusion turning to dread. Slowly, she turned to the other side of the bed, her heart sinking.

There, sprawled across the sheets, was a half-naked figure. Loose pants, sports bra—What the hell! Sienna's jaw dropped as the events of the previous night began to make sickening sense. She peeked beneath the comforter, groaning in frustration. "Shit," she hissed, slapping a hand to her forehead. She was only in her underwear.

At that moment, Riley stirred, stretching lazily, rubbing sleep from her eyes as if nothing was wrong.

"What now, Sien?" Riley yawned, still half-asleep, her voice annoyingly casual. Sienna's face burned with fury.

"What the fuck, Riley! What did you do to me?" she barked, clutching the comforter tighter around herself as she stood up.

Riley blinked, then shot Sienna a sly smile, her gaze flicking over Sienna's barely covered form. "Nice morning, isn't it?" she teased, clearly enjoying Sienna's distress.

Sienna's irritation spiked. "Nice? There's nothing nice about waking up next to you! Now tell me, what the hell happened?" Her voice cracked with frustration as she hurled a pillow at Riley's face.

Riley caught it, chuckling. "Looks like we made out last night," she said nonchalantly, running a hand through her messy hair.

Sienna's eyes narrowed. "Made out? Riley Pierce, I swear to God, if you think I'm okay with what happened, you're delusional! We're not even in a relationship—and we never will be!" Her hands shook with anger as she restrained herself from throwing another pillow.

Riley shrugged, grinning wickedly. "What's the big deal? It's fine with me if we do this anytime you want, as long as you're the one underneath."

"You're disgusting!" Sienna growled, hurling another pillow, which Riley caught again with ease.

"Relax, Sienna. It's not like I can get you pregnant. We're both girls, remember? And don't worry, your hymen's still intact." Riley's voice was infuriatingly casual. "Besides, we were both drunk last night."

Sienna clenched her fists, gritting her teeth. "Being drunk doesn't give you the right to take advantage of me, you pervert!"

Riley sighed softly, shaking her head as if Sienna was overreacting. She moves around towards Sienna's location, cornering Sienna against the wall. "Are you sure I'm the one who took advantage of you?" Riley's voice lowered, her fingers lifting Sienna's chin, forcing their eyes to meet. Her gaze was intense, challenging.

"Back off, Riley!" Sienna shoved her away. "Of course it was you! Who else could it be—me?" she scoffed.

Riley's smile faded. "Yeah, actually, it was you."

Sienna's mouth fell open in disbelief. "Outrageous! Get out, Riley! Get the hell out of my room!" she stormed past her, heading for the bathroom. "And don't be here when I get out," she snapped before slamming the door shut.

In the bathroom, Sienna leaned against the door, her heart pounding. She slapped her cheeks lightly, muttering under her breath repeatedly, "What the hell! What the hell!"

Riley cautiously peeked out from Sienna's unit, glancing at the hallway before stepping out. Her own unit was just across the hall—it was an intentional choice of her. Teasing Sienna was one of her favorite pastimes. The look of frustration on Sienna's face every time Riley knocked on her door? It was priceless.

She tiptoed to her door, tapped her RFID card to unlock it, and carefully slipped inside, closing the door as quietly as possible. But her stealth failed when a voice from behind startled her.

"What the hell are you doing, Riley?"

"Jesus, Mia!" Riley jumped, nearly dropping the shirt slung over her shoulder. She shot a glare at her friend and tried to play it cool, tossing the shirt onto a nearby chair.

Mia raised a brow, crossing her arms. "Don't tell me you spent the night in Sienna's room," she said with a tone that was half-disbelief, half-exasperation.

"Yeah, yeah," Riley replied nonchalantly, heading straight for the kitchen. She opened the fridge, grabbed a bottle of water, and poured herself a glass, downing it in one go.

Mia sighed, following her to the counter opposite the kitchen. "I don't get it, Riley. Why do you love teasing Sienna so much? What did you do to her this time?"

Riley paused mid-sip and glanced at Mia with a scoff. "What did I do to her? Mia, you were there last night! You saw how—" Riley hesitated, swallowing hard. "You saw how she kissed me. I didn't even do anything!" Her frustration was evident as she avoided Mia's gaze.

Mia shook her head. "Riley, you were both drunk. No, Sienna was the drunkest out of all of us, and you should've known better."

Riley put her glass down with a sigh, raising her hands in defense. "What? I swear, I didn't take advantage of her!"

Mia gave her a skeptical look. "Are you sure about that?"

Riley rubbed the back of her neck, feeling the weight of Mia's scrutiny. "I...uh..." She cleared her throat awkwardly. "Okay, maybe there was some kissing... and maybe a bit of foreplay, but nothing else happened, I swear!"

Mia rolled her eyes, tossing a crumpled tissue at her friend. "You're unbelievable, Riley."

"What? How is this my fault now?" Riley shot back, still trying to defend herself.

Mia's gaze sharpened as she crossed her arms tighter. "For the love of God, Riley! Sienna has a boyfriend."

Riley scoffed, leaning against the counter. "You mean that guy? Ethan Calloway? Meh, as if they'll be in a relationship for long."

Mia sighed, her tone firm. "Jeez, Riley. Ruining Sienna's relationship is not a good idea. Besides, she seems happy with him. From the outside, it looks like the perfect relationship."

"Perfect relationship, my ass," Riley muttered, scrunching her nose as if something foul had wafted into the room. She turned back to the sink, washing the glass she'd used before placing it on the drying rack. "I swear, Mia, that Ethan Calloway? Something's off about him. He smells like trouble."

Mia raised an eyebrow, intrigued but cautious. "What do you mean?"

Riley paused, her lips curling into a playful smirk as she glanced over her shoulder. "Oh, nothing," she replied in a sing-song voice, her expression teasingly cryptic before she shrugged it off as if the thought was too trivial to share.

Mia narrowed her eyes, sensing there was more to Riley's comment, but didn't press further—for now.

Sienna dropped into the seat right across from Mia with a loud thud, her frustration visible as she yanked at the collar of her turtleneck, trying to cover something. Mia, amused at the scene, raised an eyebrow, knowing exactly where this was going.

"Not such a good morning, huh?" Mia asked, sipping her iced Americano, her gaze briefly skimming her book before she closed it, focusing on Sienna.

Sienna let out an irritated growl, tossing her bag onto the table. "Where did you go last night, Mia? You shouldn't have left me alone with that Riley!"

Mia chuckled softly, unfazed. "Why? She literally lives just across from your unit."

Sienna clenched her jaw, muttering under her breath, "That pervert..."

Mia smirked. "Let me guess—she teased you again? You know how clever Riley is, Sienna." Being friends with these two mortal enemies was going to give her gray hair in no time.

"I don't care how clever she is, Mia," Sienna snapped, slamming her hand on the table, drawing attention from the nearby students. "This time, she crossed the line."

Mia waved off the curious onlookers with a polite smile, then turned back to her friend. "And what's up with your fashion choice today? A turtleneck in the middle of summer?"

Sienna rolled her eyes dramatically. "Because a mosquito bit me, and it left a mark."

Mia leaned in, her voice laced with amusement. "Oh, must've been a huge mosquito, no?"

Sienna's jaw dropped. "Why you—"

"Chill," Mia laughed, holding up her hands in mock surrender. "I've already talked to Riley. I know what she did to you was inappropriate, but you've also got to control yourself when it comes to drinking."

Sienna's eyebrow shot up. "Why is this my fault now?"

Mia tilted her head, her expression serious. "Both of you went overboard last night. Yeah, you were both drunk, but you were drunk-drunk, Sienna. You literally pulled Riley in for a kiss."

Sienna's eyes widened in disbelief, Mia's words echoing in her head. "What? Me? No... no way. You're kidding, Mia."

But the doubt settled in her gut. Had she really made the first move? Could Riley have been telling the truth all along? She gulped, feeling a wave of embarrassment wash over her. "What the hell..."
