Macy's POV
The doctor have just told me that Oliver can go home but he needs someone to check on him at night.
I didn't want to make a decision for him so, I asked him what's his plan.
"Can't you live with me for a while?" He asked. But as usual it sounded like a command.
I sighed.
"No can't do... you know I have kids." She flatly answered.
That hurt. And they're my kids too.
"I only need someone at night. You can still work during the day and dad said he could find someone to help us look after the kids." I gave her an option.
"What are you trying to do?" Her voice sounded like she was starting to get annoyed.
"Look, we can try it for a little while and if it won't work then I'm happy to find someone else to look after me at night."
She wasn't convinced but she eventually agreed.
Finally! Something is working on my favour...
Since I can't go back to my apartment yet, we decided that I go home to my parent's house. And I also learned that they were going to a cruise because one of their friends invited them. So it was going to be Macy, me, the kids and Loise. And of course Mrs. Cowen.
Macy decided that Mrs. Cowen was our best option in looking after the kids. She didn't want anyone she doesn't know. Good thing Mrs. Cowen agreed.
I went home on a Friday afternoon. I was a bit disappointed that Loise was the one who picked me up. I was hoping Macy would. But anyway, when I arrived, the house was quiet. Loise said the kids will be home from day care at 5pm.
She helped me walked and helped me into bed.
God! I miss lying in a comfortable bed... I fell asleep straight away and I slept for more than 12hours!
I woke up to the sound of my kids squealing and laughing.
I opted to stay in bed for a little longer. I checked my self and I realized that I was no longer on my hospital gown. Maybe Loise helped me last night.
The noise outside was making me curious so I slowly got up. I'm still weak but the physio provided me with a walking stick to help me walk.
My first attempt at standing up was a fail.
I tried again then I was finally up on second attempt. Me and a walking stick. I laughed at myself.
Anyway, I walked slowly until I reached the hallway. I stopped and rested while leaning on the wall.
I saw that Macy was behind the counter cooking while Loise was sitting on the other side with the kids on there high chair.
"Omeyet!!!" I heard Vivi squealed.
"It's almost done honey." Macy said.
"Remember that bakery where we used to buy our croissants? I miss that!" Loise told Macy.
"I know right? Hmmm... but I found a bakery just on the next street near the office. Their croissants are good!" Macy excitedly answered Loise while she was putting food on the kids plate.
"Tekyu mommy!" The twins said in chorus.
I was still leaning on the the wall. I wanted to join them but I didn't want to interrupt their conversation.
"More coffee?" Macy asked Loise.
"Nah. I'm fine. Thanks!" Loise said.
Loise and Macy shares the same love for coffee! That's probably why they became friends.
"Actually, before I forget, can you check if you can find a coffee machine the same as what I had overseas? I can't stand the coffee in this house!" I laughed at Macy's complain.
"Tell me about it!" Loise agreed.
My laugh must have been loud because Macy noticed me.
"Goodmorning!" She greeted me.
Then Loise turned around and stood up quickly to help me.
"You should have called for help." Loise told me.
'I'm fine. Don't worry..." I reassured her.
"Hi daddy..." Vivi greeted me with her beautiful smile.
"Goodmorning honey." I walked towards her and kissed her.
Then I kissed Basti as well.
"Goodmorning, mate!" I greeted Basti. He was back to being shy towards me.
Hi was the only word he said.
"Daddy so stinky..." Vivi suddenly said.
Loise laughed and agreed to her banter. Vivi is all grown up! Time has gone so quick!
I can't believe I'm actually having a nice morning with my family.
I sat next to Loise.
"Breakfast?" Macy said while looking at me.
"Yes please! I'm starving... and I wouldn't mind a shitty coffee..." I excitedly answered.
"Bad word! Bad word!" Vivi yelled.
"Pay daddy pay!" Basti yelled.
I looked at Macy and mouthed a sorry. I'm still getting used to being with them.
"Looks like you are going to get rich while leaving here Vivi!" Loise told Vivi. And we all laughed.
Macy's POV
Oliver is getting discharged today. I wanted to pick him up but I'm really flat out at work and I haven't packed stuff for the twins.
I managed to get out of the office at around 4PM. Loise then told me that she and Oliver was home.
I went straight home and waited for the kids from day care. Mrs. Cowen would usually pick them up.
When the kids arrived, I fed them dinner and got them ready. I have also explained to them that their daddy has an awiee so we have to try and be quiet when we arrive at their daddy's house.
Thankfully, when we left our house, it was almost the kids bedtime. So by the time we reached Oliver's parent's house they were already sleepy. Loise helped me tucked them to bed. It's the first time that I have been to the house and I appreciate how they made a room for the twins.
After putting the twins to bed we went to the kitchen.
"Dinner?" Loise asked.
"I'm fine. I had something before coming here." I told Loise.
"So where am I sleeping?" I embarrassingly asked.
"That's a very good question. My bed is quiet small for us to share." Loise was teasing me.
"Stop it!" I told her off.
"Do you still love Oliver?" Loise then seriously asked.
"I honestly don't know. He doesn't even remember me..." I sighed.
"Why can't you two just kiss and make up?" Loise said while she made coffee.
I massaged my neck with my hand then Loise handed me a cup of coffee.
"Thank you." I told her trying to avoid answering her previous question.
"Seriously though, you two need to decide. It's exhausting to see you both mesirable. And I am running out of bluffs when your kids ask me about the two of you." Loise drank her coffee.
"I wish it was as easy as that. He wanted to divorce me." I told Loise while I was staring at my cup of coffee.
"He still loves you. I can feel it. You have to give him a chance."
I didn't answer Loise. I don't know what to say.
After our talk, Loise showed me Oliver's room. And I am only sleeping in his room because the doctor advised it.
When I entered the room, I saw Oliver sprawled in the bed. He looked peaceful and comfortable.
I noticed that he was still wearing a hospital gown. I went to his wardrobe and found a big sized Tshirt and managed to change him without waking him up. I took a shower and I laid in bed and went to sleep straight away.
I was exhausted too!
