Hey, I just met you and this is crazy

But here's my number, so call me maybe

It's hard to look right at you baby

But here's my number, so call me maybe

Hey I just met you and this is crazy

But here's my number, so call me maybe

And all the other boys try to chase me

But here's my number, so call me maybe

My alarm went off, and I nearly fell on the floor. Two hours of nap is way too quick. I wanted to sleep some more!

I lazily got up and washed my face, trying to shake off the remnants of sleep. I applied my favorite body moisturizer, the musk by Alyssa Ashley, savoring its soothing scent. As I curled my hair and applied my makeup, I couldn't help but feel a twinge of excitement. Tonight was going to be special.

"I'm glad you're coming with me tonight," Grace exclaimed, peeking into the bathroom. "It's going to be an unforgettable birthday celebration!"

I grinned and replied, "Wouldn't miss it for the world, Grace. You deserve an amazing birthday."

My makeup routine was simple, reflecting my preference for a natural look. I applied hydrating cream to my clean face, followed by sunscreen for protection. Since it was a party night, I decided to use a little foundation for some extra coverage, but on a normal day, BB creams were my go-to. I shaped my eyebrows, subtly enhanced my green eyes with eyeshadow, and added a touch of tint to my cheeks and lips. A final swipe of mascara completed the look.

I checked myself in the mirror and nodded with satisfaction. I looked presentable, ready to chaperone—err, party!

I put on my navy blue skater dress, its puffed sleeves and deep sweetheart neckline adding a touch of elegance. What made it truly captivating was its backless design, held together by a delicate gold chain. Paired with yellow peep-toe wedges and a silver bag, I felt confident and ready to celebrate.

Exiting the hotel, I hailed a taxi and gave the driver the address Grace had texted me. The short taxi ride was filled with anticipation, the city buzzing with lights and excitement.

Arriving at the restaurant, I paid the driver and approached the reception. The place was packed, the subtle piano music mingling with the lively chatter of people. A line of eager patrons waited patiently outside, hoping to secure a table without a reservation.

Just as I was about to call Grace, I spotted her waving at me from across the room. With a relieved smile, I made my way towards her.

"She's with me!" Grace informed the receptionist, who nodded in acknowledgment. Grabbing my hand, she exclaimed, "Happy birthday, couz! My gift to you will come later when we get home..."

I leaned in to kiss Grace on the cheek and replied, "Thank you, couz! I can't wait!"

We made our way to our table, where the waitress had already started serving the delectable dishes. The food was beautifully presented, and the aroma wafting from the plates made my mouth water. We all dug in, savoring each bite.

Beth, one of Grace's friends, leaned in and said, "You look lovely in that dress, by the way. And thank you again for helping me earlier on the plane with my motion sickness. You're a lifesaver!"

I smiled warmly at Beth and replied, "Don't mention it. I'm always happy to help when I can. I'm just glad you're feeling better now."

Grace, ever the lively hostess, made sure everyone had finished their meals before announcing our move to another part of the building. Excitement rippled through the group as we eagerly followed her towards the elevator.

"Someone please press 4," Grace called out playfully. I chuckled and was about to press the number when Mika, one of Grace's friends, beat me to it.

As the elevator doors opened, we were met with a wall of sound—a pulsating mix of music, laughter, and exuberance. The club we entered had a dedicated area for an enormous bar, and the dance floor in the center was alive with revelers. Different setups of tables and chairs dotted the space, and we headed towards an exclusive section that could accommodate a larger group.

The club was a sensory feast. The DJ spun tracks that had the crowd dancing and singing along, the bass vibrating through our bodies. The bar was a spectacle, bartenders skillfully crafting visually stunning cocktails that delighted both the eye and the palate.

"I'll have a cosmopolitan, please," I requested, feeling adventurous. The bartender nodded and went to work, expertly mixing the vibrant concoction.

As the night wore on, conversations flowed freely amidst the pulsating music. Laughter filled the air, punctuated by shouts and cheers. I engaged in lively exchanges, swapping stories and forging connections with both familiar faces and new acquaintances. The dance floor beckoned, and I joined the swirling mass of bodies, surrendering myself to the music's rhythm.

Grace was the life of the party, her infectious energy captivating everyone around her. We formed a circle, cheering and applauding as she showcased her dance moves. The crowd responded with admiration and applause, creating an atmosphere of celebration and joy.

The party went on and we were in the dance floor when I started feeling woozy. As a doctor, I knew it was a time for me to go back to where we were sitting before I passed out at the dance floor.

My feet were also sore from wearing my shoes. I wish I was wearing my comfy crocs!

I slowly walked away from the dance floor squeezing may way out. The club was specially crowded tonight, I thought.

A sigh of relief when I was nearly at the bar side where there are lesses people than the dance floor.

Suddenly, I felt off balance and accidentally bumped into someone.

"Ooops! I'm sorry. I got off balanced." I said while looking on the floor because I was embarrass. Then suddenly, this person's cologne filled my nostrils.

It smelt unique. I can't describe the smell of this person's cologne but it made me feel excited that I started to giggle. To save myself from being more embarrased, I went to the bar and ordered another drink. I didn't bother looking at the person that I had bumped with. Who cares?! This is Vegas.

After the bar tender gave me my drink, I went back to our table. Some of the girls were already there but Grace and some of the others were still enjoying themselves at the dance floor.

I sipped my drink slowly and was mesmerized by how alcohol intake can mess up with your brain and your judgement. Even the lights were making me dizzy and I felt like I was floating in the air.
