Right, everything was in place and ready. I was sweating buckets, literally. This needed to be

I laughed as he tried to crawl up my legs to get into my arms.

'Hows my big boy?' I cooed.

'Daddy play too!' He giggled with excitement.

'But how about I take you to the park tomorrow?' I bargained and his little face lit up immediately.

The drive to the restaurant was silent, with only a few words exchanged.

'We'll have the share platter please, with BBQ and sour cream sauce.' I told her and she quickly

Scribbled it down and went off to get it.

'Why did you bring me here Nova?' Zak asked curiously.

'Do I need a reason to treat my gorgeous man?' I winked at him again and poured us some wine.

'But isn't it a little too expensive?' His forehead creased with worry.

I shook my head and reached over the table, taking both his hands in mine. 'Don't worry about it

We ate dessert in silence, just enjoying each other's company. When it was time to go I payed the

'Nova, this isn't the way home.' Zak asked as I took a different exit.

'I know, we aren't going home, not yet anyway.' I flashed him a quick smile before turning my

Attention back to the road.

It took fifteen minutes to get to where I wanted to go and my heart was beating like crazy.

I had brought us to a secluded place. It was next to a lake with a small beach like surface that

Surrounded it. I had set up a place for us to sit and just spend time together earlier.

'Its beautiful.' He whispered. He nuzzled closer to my side as we walked over to the blanket I'd put

We just sat and snuggled each other for what seemed like a lifetime. My nerves eased up a little

But as soon as I thought about what I was to do next they shot right back up. I took a deep breath

I pulled him away, making him whimper a little. I chuckled as I grabbed his hand and put the ring

On his slim trembling fingers.

'I love you baby.' I stood and held him to me.

'I love you too.' He hugged me back just as tight.

And that's how we stayed, gazing up at a starless sky with only he moon as witness to our love.
