Rita shukla patted her husband Ashok shukla's shoulder.

Rita ji: ye nayi jagah pe ghar lena sahi tha kya? Aap ko toh paata hi hai Sidharth kitna introvert baccha hai. Kisi se jaldi ghul mil nahi paata! Yaha aa k bilkul chup hi ho gya !

Ashok ji: rita mai samajta hoon par Sidharth ko logo se baat karna, ghulna milna aana chahiye!

Rita ji: par yaha toh humare ilawa aur koi nahi hai.

Ashok ji: haan thoda village type area hai na? Iss liye log thoda kaam hai. Chinta maat karo maine suna aaj hi koi aane wala hai yaha. Agar accha lage toh unse baat karna!

Rita ji; ji thik hai!

In the evening, one couple came and settled in the next house of shukla's cottage. They were the gills. After sometime, rita shukla and ashok shukla went to meet their new neighbors.

They mingled well. Pammi gill and sukh gill were very loving.  The shuklas liked them very much. Mrs. Gill was pregnant!

Sukh ji; aap logo se mil k bohot accha laga.  Meri biwi ki delivery aab kisi bhi waakt ho saakta hai. Mujhe apne job k waja se yaha aana para kyun ki mujhe yaha transfer kiya gya tha par mai yaha kisi ko janta nahi tha toh bohot tension mein tha. Aab thoda sukoon sa mil raha hai!

It had been one week and shuklas and gills became very close friends!

The 10 year old Sidharth didn't talk much . He was a proper introvert, he loved nature, he loved painting. He used to paint the nature's beauty. He didn't have any friends, he never felt connected with anyone. Though he loved his parents and respected his elders but he loved to stay alone, UNTIL HE FOUND HER!

His mom came in his room.

Rita ji: Sidharth beta mai aur tere dad hospital jaa rahe hai. Teri pummy aunty ki delivery hone wali hai. Tu jayega saath mein?

Sid noded in no!

Rita ji took a deep sigh!

Rita ji; thik hai. Apna khyal  rakhna!!!

Sidharth didn't know when he slept while waiting for his parents!

When he woke up, he heard a crying sound. His heart skipped a beat.

He went outside from his room and saw his mom was giving juice to pammi ji.

Sid: mom ...

Pammi ji smiled. She really loved Sidharthh. He was a calm and obedient child.

Rita ji: haan beta!!!

Sid; kon ro raha hai?

Ashok ji came from behind...

Ashok ji: humari gudiya ro rahi hai!!!

Sidharth looked at him confusingly.

Sid: kon hai gudiya dad?

Sukh ji: beta , meri beti hui hai! Aap miloge?

Sidharth looked at his mom.

Rita ji: beta jaa mil le! Bohot pyaari bacchi hai. Ekdum pari jaisi.

Sidharth noded and ashok ji took him in their bedroom. There was a swing and he heard the baby's crying sound more and he slowly slowly touched the swing . There he saw a baby girl, wrapped in a baby pink cloth. Her eyelashes were so bigg, her rosy cheeks and her small hands, legs made him look at her in adore!

She was crying her heart out.

Sidharth slowly touched her small hand, she wrapped her hand around his one finger making him smile.

She stopped crying and looked at him.  He looked at her with pure admiration!

Sid: dad she is so cute!

Ashok ji looked at him with a little shock and happiness. Because he never complimented someone. But the way he was looking at this baby girl , was a cute sight to watch.

Rita ji told sukh ji that the baby and pammi ji will stay in their house for some days! She wants to take care of the mother and baby.

Sukh ji tried to refuse the offer but the shuklas were admant! Sidharth was feeling so happy. He felt an immediate connection with this baby!!!

The next day was baby's namkaran day and everyone was thinking a good name!

Rita ji: meri pyaari gudiya ki naam iske jaise hi pyaari honi chahiye!

Ashok ji: bilkul.

Sukh ji and pammi ji smiled because the shuklas loved their daughter so much.

Sidharth was caressing her rosy cheeks and she was giving him a toothless beautiful smile making him smile too.

Rita ji and ashok ji felt so happy to see their son happy.

Rita ji: iss bacchi k waja se humara beta bhi khush rehne laga hai .

Ashok ji: haan beti humari ghar pe Khushi le k aayi hai.

Pandit ji asked them for a final name but they all were confused.

Sidharth looked at her and said...

Sid: tumhara naam shehnaaz rakhe? Hmm? Bolo baby!!

She again smiled and started throwing her hands in happiness!!

Everybody smiled and loved the name!!!

After keeping the baby's name everyone asked Sidharth...

Tumne ye naam kaha se suna beta?

Sidharth replied while looking at his finger which was wrapped by her hand....

Sid: maine isko dekha aur mujhe laga iska naam shehnaaz hona chahiye, Sidharth ki shehnaaz!❤️

From that day, shehnaaz and sidharth were inseparable! Whenever baby sana ( shehnaaz's nickname) used to cry, only Sidharthh could handle her!

She always used to hold his finger, she used to look at him and he used to smile softly .

That's how they grew up. The 10 years age gap never mattered to them. They became best friends , they were each other's support system.

With time, Sidharth became more protective and possessive for shehnaaz . He never liked any boy flirting with her or proposing her! He didn't know why he felt like that , maybe because she is too innocent and soft hearted and doesn't understand how selfish people can be!

Time passed and their bond grew more and more!!!

Sidharth was working in his office! His phone rang and he picked up.

Sid: ji mom?

Rita ji: beta aaj driver nahi jaa paayenge. Tere papa ko kuch urgent kaam tha toh wo gari le k chale gye! Tu sana ko college se le aayega?

Sid: ji mom don't worry.

Sidharth reached in shehnaaz's college and waited for her patiently.

Sana saw his car and excitedly ran towards him.

A boy stopped her midway.

Sana, I really like you, the boy blushed!

Sana rolled her eyes!!!

Sana: apna like you apne pas rakh! Lemme go mera Siddyyy aaya hai!

She again ran and hugged him. He caressed her head...

Sid: bhag kyun rahi thi tu baby? Lag jaati toh!!

Sana: nahi Lagti ! Meko paata hai agar mai girne Lagti toh tu mujhe bacha leta! Meko bharosa hai tere pe!

Sidharth smiled and opened the car's door for her, made her sit in the car properly. He sat in the driving seat and tied her seat belt while she was munching her chips .

He started driving and she kept blabbering about what happened the whole day making him chuckle.  He kept listening to her blabber so attentively. It was their thing! No matter whatever she says, he pays full attention!

They reached home and he held her hand and warned her to walk properly.

Sid: baby dheere dheere chal.  Gir jayegi toh fir roti rahegi.

Sana: offhooo sidhaaarth!! Tu bhi na!!!

She went in the kitchen of his house where rita ji was making her favourite dish.

She hugged rita ji and shouted ...

Sana: ritaaaaa maaa! Ye toh meri fav dish hai!!!

Rita ji smiled and kissed her forehead!

Sana: mai baba se mil k aati hoon!

Sana used to call Ashok ji baba and sukh ji papa!

Rita ji: wo toh thoda kaam se bahar gye hai baccha. Thodi der mein aa jayenge! Tu haat mu dho le. Mai khana laga deti hoon.

Sana: okieeee.

Excitedly she went in Sidharth's room which was indirectly her room too as his room had so many things which belonged to her! They were comfortable with each other since the very beginning!!!

Sana: sidhaaarth meko mera dress nahi mil raha! Teko maine bola na iss side pe mere kapre rahenge? Aab mai kya tera saar pehnu?

He chuckled and gave her his t-shirt.  She smiled as she loved to wear his t-shirts . That's why she used to hide her own dresses and always used to pretend that she couldn't find her dress. But Sidharth knew that she does these things deliberately but never let her know that he knows!!!

He actually knows her more she knows herself.

Wearing his tshirt she was looking cute as always!!!

She held his arm and  started walking.

Sana: chal jaldi meko bukh lagi hai!

The gills also came there . Sana hugged her parents. Ashok ji also returned from work . Sana excitedly met him and everyone settled to eat .

Sana used to stay in both houses, according to her mood,  there was no rule for her! She was the favourite child whom everyone pampered, especially Sidharth.

Sidharth filled her plate according to her taste making her giggle happily.  She ate and blabbered about random things and Everyone listened to her with proper attention!!!

After that she spent the whole day with her mumma and rita maa as Sidharth was busy in a meeting and sukh ji , Ashok ji were also discussing about business..

Sidharth finished his work. Suddenly he felt her presence! She sat on his lap and kept her head in his arms while hugging his neck.

Sid: kya hua baby?

Sana: meko sula de! Neend aa rahi hai!

He smiled and patted her head lovingly. She held his one finger and slept in his arms.

He looked at his finger which she was holding and smiled!

Something never changes, he thought and kissed her head while she snuggled more in his arms 💖
