Change Me - Chapter 9

*After School*

I made my way into the park looking for Tyler , then I saw her sitting by the lake and I decided to sneak up on her .

"BOO!" I screamed in her ear .

All she did was turn around slowly and stare at me .

"You didn't get scared .. That's embarrassing ." I said rubbing the back of my neck . But she didn't respond , she just stared off at the lake . Then I noticed that her arm was wrapped .

"Tyler.... What happened?!"

"Nothing .. Just an accident ." She replied calmly

"Tyler the blood is starting to seep through the bandages ! Tell me what happened ."

She pulled tape and more wrap out of her pocket and re-wrapped her arm, after I cleaned her blood of course. Then she explained everything .

"The bullet was really nothing.. It's just a graze . I'll go get it stitched tomorrow . "

"You need to get it stitched now!"

"No . I hate hospitals !"

*At The Hospital *

"I can't believe you dragged me to this stupid place! People die in here!" She screamed

"People also die in the streets but you're still there!" I shot back

"That's different ... "

I stopped in front of her and touched her face ." You're safer here than you are there Ty .."

"Nowhere is safe Jess.."

But before we could continue the doctor came in . He gave her a shot, thoroughly cleaned her wound, and stitched her up .

"Only forty-two stitches ... Everything will heal with time . Clean it everyday with alcohol and you should be fine." And with that the doctor was gone .

"See that wasn't so bad!" I exclaimed, and took Tyler back to the park to stop her excessive whining .

*Sunset*

Tyler's POV 💭

We sat by the lake and watched the sunset . Jess was sitting in-between my legs with her head on my shoulder.

She looked up at me , and didn't take her eyes away .

"What?" I asked

"Maybe I was wrong about you.. Maybe you're not everything I accused you of being."

"Look ... I know I saved you and everything but , I don't want to be any charity case . You don't have to like me now...."

"I never gave you a chance ... Don't get me wrong I always thought you were so attractive ... But maybe I was wrong for not giving you a chance. Can I have that opportunity?"

"You don't wanna get involved with someone like me .."

"Tyler... I really want to try . I'm willing to take this risk ."

"No matter what?"

"No matter what . I promise."

I held up my pinky and she locked hers with mine .

Suddenly she grabbed the back of my neck and slowly kissed me . I grabbed her waist and pulled her closer , then I started running my fingers through her hair. She let out a quiet moan and slowly broke the kiss .

" Hey I was having fun!" I exclaimed

"Too bad . You have to earn these rights ."

I smirked and replied,"I will ."

We sat there cuddled up until it got late and we went out separate ways.
