His Favourite Muse ⚜ Ch. 10
Royal Academy Diaries II
On the night of the performance, Jeong-wu was taking a back hallway to get to the theatre. Minato's suit had turned out perfect, and his voice was mostly restored from his cold.
As he was about to enter the auditorium, someone stopped him.
"Oh, so you must be Jeong-wu," the young man said.
He was a bit nervous. "Yes..."
The nobleman sighed. "You know, he's happy with you. Thank you for taking care of him. You appreciate him in a way that I never could."
Realizing that this must be his ex, the Korean prince nodded. "Always."
"Jeong-wu, there you-" The other prince paused, feeling the awkwardness in the air.
"Minato," the nobleman said with a bow. He slipped into the theatre, leaving them alone in the hall.
"Was he nice?" Minato asked.
"Yes. He was just saying how happy you look lately." He smiled. "And you... you look so gorgeous."
He grinned, posing against the wall in his theatre suit. "You added the perfect touch. I have to get backstage, but first, a kiss for good luck?"
He smirked and pulled him close. "Do you need to ask?" They shared a sweet, slow kiss. "Alright, now go and sing your heart out."
Following him into the back door of the theatre, he found his seat and pulled out his sketchbook. While the lights were still on, he made a quick sketch of Minato in this new suit.
The lights went down, the curtain went up, and he prayed that his voice was healed enough for him to do a good enough job to be satisfied. To his own ear, he sounded perfect, not missing a note, and he was grateful for it.
After the show, he went to wait for him in the hall, and was surprised to see a new addition to the school art collection. He grinned, waiting under his portrait of his prince.
"Jeong-wu? Are you he- Ah, there you are." Minato came up to him beaming. "That went well, didn't it?"
"That went wonderfully, is how it went," he said, pulling him close. "And your voice sounded just fine."
He nodded happily. "I could tell it was a bit scratchy still, but you didn't notice?"
"No one did," he assured him.
The prince smiled and glanced up at the third portrait. "Well that's new."
"Yes, I was surprised to see it too. I guess they thought you were worthy of immortalization in the school halls."
Minato chuckled, reaching into his pack. "Yes, it is stunning. Although I have to say, I am surprisingly fond of these."
Jeong-wu grinned at the papers he held up. "You like them?
Smiling at the animation-style portraits of himself, he chuckled. "They're adorable and artistic and my boyfriend is amazingly talented at whatever style he does."
He brushed a strand of hair away from his face. "You look good in every medium, my handsome muse."
"You're too poetic," he smirked, wrapping his arms around his neck.
He stole his arms around his waist. "You're too irresistible," he muttered, seizing his lips in a passionate kiss.
