In the Arms of an Angel
Mr. Kent And ME [BL]
Angemon suddenly looked at him.
"Heat vision," Angemon said urgently.
He forcibly twisted Lobo's wrist, holding it in front of Clark.
On the thick, gray-purple arm, the Kryptonite ring glowed like a green ghost.
Clark paused for a moment, then quickly realized what Angemon meant.
He hesitated, and then his eyelids dropped quickly, but when they opened again, his eyes were glowing with a red light!
Red-hot heat vision, at 6,000 degrees Celsius, shot out of his eyes directly toward the raised wrist!
The heat vision, hotter than any living thing could endure, sliced through Lobo's wrist like the sharpest razor.
The wound immediately turned to carbon, and the massive hand fell like an iron ball.
Lobo howled in pain and struggled fiercely.
Seeing that the Kryptonite was no longer on him, Clark quickly flew forward and joined Angemon in restraining Lobo.
But Angemon then let go.
He gently flapped his wings and stepped back a few paces, his golden hair flowing in front of him.
The face behind the iron helmet was expressionless, only revealing light gray-pink lips.
"He's an immortal being. We can't defeat him. But you might try sending him into a yellow sun. The sun's high temperatures will slow down his revival," Angemon said solemnly.
Clark nodded in understanding, grabbed Lobo, and shot up to the clouds with a sonic boom.
Soren stayed behind, watching as Clark's figure shrank to a dark spot and quickly disappeared into the light blue sky.
Hundreds of yards away, several buzzing helicopters began to circle around him.
Behind the helicopter windows, black long-range lenses, like gun barrels on a castle wall, were all aimed at him.
Soren looked around in the air.
Seeing this, the helicopters quickly backed off, and no one dared to approach to take close-up shots of Angemon.
He ignored the helicopters and gracefully flew over the open space surrounded by the helicopters, passing through the stratosphere and disappearing behind the white clouds.
He quietly found a spot where no one could see him and returned to his original appearance, near the S.T.A.R. Labs plaza.
By now, there were police barricades set up around the plaza.
Many police officers and cars were stationed nearby, with red and blue police lights flashing and reflecting off each other.
Several fire trucks were parked at the edge of the plaza, and firefighters were preparing to rescue the people trapped in the S.T.A.R. Labs building.
In the midst of the chaos, he walked slowly along the barricade, recalling the position he was in earlier.
Although he looked calm, he nervously gripped the strap of his backpack with his left hand.
The Kryptonite ring that had fallen was missing.
They were at a very high position at the time, so Soren couldn't remember the exact spot, but it should have been somewhere near the plaza and the open lawn next to the building.
Since the ring fell along with the hand cut off by the heat vision, and from such a height, there should be noticeable marks where it hit the ground.
However, he didn't find any signs of a heavy object falling anywhere.
Standing amid the red and blue flashing lights and the wailing sirens, he looked at the plaza behind the barricade from a distance.
The area set up for the press conference was in ruins, with overturned tables and scattered brochures everywhere.
Only the podium on the stage stood intact, with a curved black microphone still quietly standing on it.
Soren pressed his lips together.
...Lex Luthor.
He couldn't think of anyone else besides Lex Luthor.
Soren looked at the podium, and his mind began to plan how to get that Kryptonite ring from Lex Luthor.
However, his slightly furrowed brow and tightly closed mouth, which showed his worry, appeared to others as a look of shock after a scare.
The slender boy stood alone outside the barricade, seemingly unsure of where to go.
The area around him was chaotic, with cement chunks and glass shards from the damaged building scattered at his feet.
Just from his back view, it was heartbreaking.
A female police officer who is maintaining order in the plaza, noticed him from a distance and came over to ask if he was injured in the incident, offering to take him to a temporary shelter.
"Me?" Soren was a bit confused and pointed to himself.
Before he could refuse the police officer's kind offer, he was suddenly enveloped in a familiar embrace.
The strong arms held him tightly, and his face was pressed against a warm chest.
A large hand also cradled the back of his head, preventing him from moving his face away from the massive chest.
Soren: Mmmmmmâ!
He was running out of breath!
He struggled to tap the arm of the man who is holding him and managed to free his face, which was now turned red, and said in a small voice, "Clark, what are you doing!"
Clark was startled, he doesn't pulled back his hands and instead placed them on Soren's shoulders.
He was flustered, seeing Soren's red face, and quickly checked Soren's body, "Soren, are you okay? Did you get hurt? Why is your face so red?"
God knows, when he flew back and saw Soren being helped by the female officer, his heart nearly stopped.
In that 0.00001 seconds, Clark's Kryptonian super brain had already imagined countless possibilities: Soren was hit by a rock, Soren fell, Soren was trapped in the building...
Soren, Soren, Soren...
Clark didn't even know if he was flying.
He rushed over to Soren's side and instinctively pulling him into a tight hug.
It was like the only way to make sure Soren was completely safe was by holding him close.
Soren shook his head and was just about to say, "I'm fine," when his eyes flicked upward.
He noticed that Clark's cheek, which had a deep wound earlier, was now completely healed.
He bit his tongue.
He hesitated and swallowed the words he was going to say.
