Chapter 29: Unleashing the Beast

Trapped in My Own Mafia Romance

Diya's breath caught.

Tara stood in front of them, calm, confident, smug.

Behind her, a dozen men.

Armed. Waiting. Ready to kill.

But the moment Diya glanced at Abeer—

Her blood ran cold.

Because he wasn't looking at Tara.

He wasn't even looking at the guns pointed at him.

His eyes were on her.

And they were burning.

"You set me up," Abeer murmured, his voice deceptively soft.

Tara smirked.

"Did you really think I was working alone?" she taunted.

Abeer's jaw ticked.

His fingers tightened around his gun.

But his fury?

It wasn't for Tara.

It was for Diya.

Because she was in the middle of it.

Because they had dared to put her here.

And now?

Now, they were all going to die.

BANG!

Before anyone could react, Abeer moved.

Fast. Too fast.

One shot.

A man fell.

A second shot.

Another man down.

Diya barely had time to process before Abeer threw her behind him, shielding her with his own body.

Then—

All hell broke loose.

Gunfire exploded in the warehouse.

The air filled with smoke, screams, and blood.

But Abeer?

Abeer was a demon unleashed.

He didn't dodge.

Didn't run.

Didn't flinch.

He walked straight into the fire.

And every man who tried to take him down?

Didn't live to see the next second.

Diya pressed against the wall, her hands shaking.

A man spotted her.

Rushed toward her.

Gun raised.

Diya's breath hitched.

Her fingers closed around the weapon Abeer had given her.

She lifted it.

The man's eyes widened.

He didn't think she'd do it.

Didn't think she was like Abeer.

But he was wrong.

BANG!

The bullet hit his chest.

He stumbled. Collapsed.

And Diya?

She didn't even blink.

A second later, Abeer was in front of her, his hand cupping her face, eyes burning into hers.

"You did good, jaan," he whispered. "So good."

His thumb brushed over her lips, his other hand gripping her waist too tightly.

"You're mine," he murmured.

His lips barely ghosted over hers, a silent promise of what was coming next.

Diya shivered.

Because this wasn't fear.

It was something darker.

Something more dangerous.

And she never wanted him to stop.

The fight was almost over.

Most of Tara's men were dead.

The rest? Running.

But Tara?

She wasn't done.

She reached into her pocket—

And pulled out a detonator.

Diya's heart stopped.

"Abeer!" she screamed.

Abeer turned—

Just as Tara pressed the button.

BOOM!

The warehouse shook.

Fire erupted.

The floor beneath them cracked.

And in that moment—

Diya felt herself falling.

Her scream echoed through the air.

And the last thing she saw—

Was Abeer diving after her.
