Chapter 32: Their Forever
Trapped in My Own Mafia Romance
Diya woke up slowly.
For the first time in weeks, there was no gunfire, no explosions, no fear.
Just warmth.
Just Abeer.
His arms were wrapped securely around her waist, holding her against his chest like she was the only thing anchoring him to this world.
She shifted slightly, and his grip tightened.
A sleepy, gruff voice rumbled behind her.
"Don't move."
Diya smiled. "Abeerâ"
A soft kiss on her shoulder.
"Jaan, I finally have you in my arms," he murmured. "Let me sleep."
Her heart fluttered.
This wasn't the ruthless, dangerous Abeer Rathore the world feared.
This was her Abeer.
And she wouldn't trade him for anything.
She turned in his arms, resting her hand on his bare chest.
"You're always ordering me around," she teased.
Abeer cracked one eye open, smirking.
"You love it."
Diya rolled her eyes.
And thenâhis fingers brushed her cheek.
Soft. Gentle.
Like he still couldn't believe she was here.
His voice dropped, serious.
"You're really mine now, aren't you?"
Diya's chest tightened.
She lifted his hand, pressing a soft kiss to his palm.
"I always was," she whispered.
Abeer exhaled slowly.
Thenâhe kissed her.
Not like before.
Not rough. Not desperate.
Just soft. Slow. Forever.
The sun was shining. Birds were chirping.
Diya stood in the kitchen, humming softly as she made coffee.
It felt so normal.
So beautifully, wonderfully normal.
And thenâ
Strong arms wrapped around her from behind.
A deep chuckle rumbled against her neck.
"You left the bed," Abeer murmured, lips brushing against her skin.
Diya giggled.
"You were supposed to be asleep."
Abeer smirked. "I don't sleep without you."
Diya turned, resting her hands against his chest.
"So, what? You're just going to follow me everywhere now?"
Abeer tilted his head.
"Jaan, I followed you across death itself," he whispered. "Do you really think I'll ever let you out of my sight?"
Diya's heart swelled.
She reached up, gently running her fingers through his hair.
"Then I guess you're stuck with me," she murmured.
Abeer leaned in, kissing her forehead.
"Forever," he promised.
Later that evening, they sat on the balcony, watching the city lights.
Diya curled up against Abeer's side, her head resting on his chest.
For a long time, they just sat in silence.
ThenâAbeer spoke.
"Do you ever wonder," he murmured, "what life would've been like if we never met?"
Diya smiled.
"I think about it all the time," she admitted.
Abeer looked down at her. "And?"
Diya lifted her head, pressing a soft kiss to his jaw.
"I think I'd still find my way to you," she whispered.
Abeer's grip on her tightened.
His voice was hoarse, raw.
"You mean that?"
Diya nodded.
"Abeer," she whispered. "I was always meant to be yours."
And in that moment, the past didn't matter.
The pain, the war, the chaosânone of it mattered.
Because they had survived.
Because they had won.
And because they had each other.
Now. Always. Forever.
The End. â¤ï¸Author's Note ð¬
